Yesterday afternoon my aunt came over to visit with the baby (my 7 week old niece). And she was wearing such a strong perfume. So i couldn't even sit beside her. I didn't say anything, but she probably thought i wasn't being nice to her. Since i couldn't really talk to her or anything.

I was okay on the other side of the room. I wonder if i should have said something. Although she should remember i'm allergic to perfume.

You really must not expect anyone to remember your allergies, something I learned a long time ago.  Accepting this fact makes it easier to simpy be sweet & say you wish you could sit closer but unfortunately you are allergic to her perfume.  I also find holding my breath during a greeting hug helps.

I got no additional review discs today, and I'm thinking I may take tomorrow off as well if something else doesn't come in. You see, the REPULSION Blu-ray doesn't come out until July 28th, and that's a LONG amount of lead time. I've already posted the DVD review, but I may just hold off another day (or more) unless other items aren't forthcoming. Funny thing is, I'm not really expecting anything else that I know about. I may end up with a good part of the week free.

Now, I'm going to play on the computer a bit and then head back downstairs for an evening of Agatha Christie movies.

DR Jose, interesting Flag of Equal Marriage.  I hope it won’t be long before there are more stars on it.

I am almost tempted to twitter just to read the comments about Monkey :)

DR Vixmom the http://www.cheeburger.com/menu/main.asp menu is very busy.  If it is there I didn’t find a description of the veggie burger.  I would like to know how they make it.  At least it isn’t frozen 

Vibes your upcoming port removal goes well!

Thanks, Jose. Now, how do you do it with the bold blue words?

(I am copying these into a word document for future reference.)

DR Laura - I keep the HHW codes for web links, big color letters, scrolling text, centered image, and scrolling image on a Stickie on my Mac.  Do you have the Stickies application?

DR Vixmom - no apologies necessary, but I think you're working way too hard for someone who has been through what you've been through.  A lot of our friends were unavailable for visits last week, so DH Richard had to keep ourselves occupied seeing 6 Broadway shows in 5 days.  It's a tough job, but someone had to do it!

We'll catch you next time!

Nice you know that :)

I will be in Philadelphia soon, so close yet I doubt I can make it to NY.  If I can phones will be ringing.

Hmmm..there's an idea for a musical--ROAD SHOW GIRL!  Carol Channing stars as the little known Mizner sister who sets out across the country as a travelling saleslady, a golddigger, an aviatrix, and finally as a busybody matchmaker.  It's the story of America!

Channing = harpie?  Yes, it could work.

BK, those were wonderful notes today - and that is no lie.  I always enjoy reading the notes, but sometimes, like today, you really hit it out of the park.  And usually those are the ones about some time or period in your own life.  Thank you.

Back from the lab, it's time for laundry. If I don''t do it today, the week will be impossible with the tight schedule I'm on till Thursday.

Back later!

I'm Gay! I went to the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck after lunch and had a chocolate soft serve with chocolate sprinkles and I can feel the change in my body. Now I'm FABULOUS. That's his whole agenda, I think. Add the secret ingredient and sell to the general public and before you know it, we will have taken over the world with nothing more than a cup of soft serve ice cream   :D

I always knew there was a secret agenda.  Rush was correct.

BA-DA-BING!!

JAMES IN ‘HIT’ ON FAN

SOPRANOS star James Gandolfini carried out a real-life “hit” when a cheeky fan sneaked on to the stage during his new Broadway play...

That is frightening.

How does one "sneak" onstage, exactly?  I am thinking it would be rather obvious and jolting to the actors AND the audience.

The only thing that has happened to me that was close to that was one night last fall when I was doing the eleven o'clock number, and this guy in the back row started taking pictures, so I ...................................  Oh wait, that wasn't me.

I got the second of my two big purchases in the mail today.  As I said before, big purchases for my aren't really major to other people, but I am a cheapskate.

Anyway, this is the new leather-bound book of Titanic photos, and personally autographed by Robert Ballard.

Others have suggested a before and after - I wouldn't do it on the CD itself, but might do it on the Kritzerland site.

That would be cool...and very enlightening.

When I was out earlier I had the phrase "Errands to do..." to the tune of "Magic do Do" from Pippin running through my head.  I bet DR FJL could write a full set of lyrics!

As I was reading today's notes, I became more and more convinced that the topic of discussion for the day would be: "What's the most elaborate lie you ever told that was believed by everyone?" or "What's the worst lie you ever told where you got caught?" or something else full of intrigue like that. I was so disappointed when I saw the topic of discussion because I have no opinion of Billy Wilder. But it's just as well because I don't have any particularly great lie stories except that I, too, had an experience where I vowed to lie no more. The only difference between mine and Bruce's resolution was that I was only about 12 years old at the time.
