Skammen. Raining again. Which probably means not going to see SIDEWAYS. I don't want to drive over Laurel Canyon in this weather. THE AVIATOR, which is playing on this side of the hill, is a possibility.
Any reports from DRs on Aviator?

Hmmmm.  Someone doesn't read the posts as thoroughly as she claims.

And my trip to NY for the signing, and seeing elmore, and Brent Barrett and all my lovely hainsies/kimlets, and going to Joe Allen - wonderful.

Joe Allen--my first time.  But not my last!   :)

Welcome five GUESTS and one HIDDEN.  We're talkin' about highlights.  I think we've got a new Fox show here - Totally HIDDEN Lurker.

I went in the other room about an hour ago, sat down on the couch, fired up the latest Edgar Wallace (I'm on box five now - have already seen all of boxes three and four), began watching it, and was out like a light in two minutes.  The thunder woke me up.

Where do y'all see the "hidden" people, or the number of guests for that matter?

I ate a Subway turkey sandwich for lunch, along with a chocolate donut.  I think buttered popcorn is next.  I'm told that Juliana A. Hansen will be visiting, perhaps tomorrow, but we'll believe it when we see it.  I'm told she has a splendid birthday gift for me.

I don't know how BK does it but I click back to the front page and scroll down to the bottom.  It tells who's Birthday it is and how many people are online.  It lists the members names, how many guest and hidden.

Wasn't "The Hidden" a movie?

Here in Olympia, it's very foggy.  I haven't seen it this foggy since last year (probably around this time).  Just had to share. :)

I saw The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou this afternoon, Dear Readers.  Beyond its very odd and difficult-to-market title, this is one very off-beat and strange movie.  The humor is downright arid, and I'm not sure whether the attempts at symbolism in the movie were intended to be serious or funny.  I was never certain whether Mr. Bill Murray was playing his character sincerely or smirking at it as he played it.  Miss Anjelica Houston is notable as Mr. Murray's wife, as is Mr. Jeff Goldblum as his nemesis.

Meeting DR Elmore--New York Citys Shining light.

DRDanise, thank you!  I feel just like a national landmark!  This may explain why some weird lady wearing a bizarre headdress and carrying a torch has been stalking me.

I just got a lovely email from Rosemary Ashe, the original London Carlotta, who's getting good reviews in MARY POPPINS.  She's hoping to be over in 2006 with the show.  She recorded one of the stepsisters, Freakette or Dollbabia, I forget which, in Victor Herbert's Cinderella story THE LADY OF THE SLIPPER for the recording project I'm on in 2001.

Dear Friend BK, your visit was certainly one of my highlights.  I was thinking about THE FIRST NUDIE MUSICAL this morning and how much I wanted to orchestrate it!

DR elmore, I LOVE Rosemarie Ashe... as well as her recording!!!  I'd definately make tracks to NYC to see her, especially if Linzi Hately is still with show, also!!

We have a "Hidden".  I don't know why that bugs me.  I tend to think of it like having a mouse in the wall.  I just don't get purpose of it.  Oh well.

DRDanise, what's a "Hidden"?  Is it like Lovecraft's "Rats in the Walls"?

BK can explain it better than I can but I think it's someone who does not want anyone to know who they are but they want on the board so they can look at things.  Is that right, BK?

I agree!  She's a neat lady, and a very funny one.  When we were recording in 2001, she was talking about how shocked she was at the frank sex in the film INTIMACY and how she wasn't sure she could look at Mark Rylance with a straight face ever again.
