It is currently 91 degrees in Manhattan but it feels like 98 and as the afternoon goes on it will feel even hotter.

TCB  I had not heard about the (now over)  50th anniversary partay at the Delacourt but having read the prices --- ZOUNDS!!!

Kevin and Meryl seem a little long in the tooth to play  R & J  but apparently it was a not  staged performance - they kept referring to it as  a reading  in the article I found

I maybe (probably) losing my mind, but did I mention the Delacourt party in some context?

I shot, developed, and printed this in my tiny kitchen on the edge of the Hills of Beverly.  This was at a lecture/Q&A thing where we'd just watched Mr. Stewart's 16mm print of "Rear Window".

Ginny, do I remember correctly you're on coumarin (or however it's spelled?).  There was a big article in the paper this morning warning people on it not to drink Cranberry juice, as it can be fatal!

Yes, DR JMK, I'm on Coumadin forever because I've had DVT (blood clots) twice.  Cranberry juice is a NO, NO - one thing I read said to limit your intake to the equivalent of 2 cups per day.  That's a LOT of cranberry juice...

I will try to find your article online.

I probably drink three times that much every day.

We are predicted to hit 94 degrees today.....which we did yesterday.  And it's our 16th day in a row with no rain.

I noticed the beans and corn on the way to rehearsal last night.....and ALL the crops are looking pretty sad right now.......

The beans and corn were going to rehearsal?  What play are they in?

Did Hitchcock ever *not* put in an appearance in one of his films?

I've got a few other fun things but nothing else already scanned.

Hitchcock was so important to me in my early moviegoing years.  For a while I was going to every showing around, starting with a fabulous retrospective at LACMA in late '72 or early '73.  What's amusing to remember is that I got totally accustomed to seeing the same faces at these things, regardless of where in town or what the occasion.  We were the Hitchcock Obsessed.

I don't know how complete it is and whether it's completely correct but here is a Wikipedia article about

Alfred Hitchcock Cameo Appearances

It says he was in 39 of 52 films. The list is in alphabetical order.

When the uploader is full no picture, no matter the size, can be attached. I know there is some account at Photobucket which has been used by people to post pictures but I don't know anything about the account information. George can probably fill you in on how to use it.

It looks like ChasSmith doesn't need my help...but if he wants the instructions, I'll be happy to send them to him. :D

Ben, I sent you the instructions, just so you'd have them. :)

Back from Toyland and the McGlinnventory. I walked from Park and 23rd to Sixth Avenue and 23rd. It could have been worse  outside. The bus hme was packed. Midtown traffic is a joke.

I forgot that I'm seeing Charlotte in a production of IMPORTANCE OF BEING EAREST tonight at 7:00. I hope it's good.

And fast.

The doctors are placing Carol on coumadin because of the clots. I passed along the potentially fatal cocktail recipe.

And thank you all for the vibes on her behalf.

More vibes for Carol!  They will tell her also to avoid foods that are high in vitamin K, including dark leafy greens and, alas, broccoli (my favorite vegetable).  Coumadin is tricky stuff - tell her not to get freaked out by the restrictions, the frequent blood tests, etc.
