Glad to know that you've got a talented conductor for your benefit, bk!

A lesser man would probably be a semi-conductor, I guess...

I believe I warned you, Matt!

No offense, DR TCB, but naturally I'd have to see it for myself.

And all the scenes with Cathleen Nesbit were grotesque, I assume on purpose, but still . . . .

I had the most wonderful package in the mail today from Music Guy. Thank you, thank you! If we ever get the money to finish restoring our theatre, which has been promised a Moeller organ, you must come and advise/play a concert!

Greg was interested because he's miked pipe organs a few times (last time was for the NPR show EVENSONG) and loved the challenge of making it sounds great. He loved the recording. It was funny, because the puppet show he's been working on all week is called THE ORGANWISE GUYS and all the characters are internal organs with names like SIR REBRUM, PERRY STOLIC, etc. So after listening to the CD's, he feels VERY "organwise"!

I began my evening finishing the last twenty minutes or so of VICTIM. Always great to see the villains get what's coming to them especially the bigoted and smug female blackmailer.

I have a feeling that my little cow cat is the culprit since he always likes to come bounding into the room and leap on the table.

Next, I watched William Friedkin's THE BOYS IN THE BAND. Kind of a stolid transcription of the play to film, and everyone's line readings are very slow and deliberate. The pacing on the cast recording was much better than in the film.

Still, I'm not complaining. It saved Cliff Gorman's great performance for all time, and everyone else is very good.

It's been a sleep-deprived week so far so I'm going to wuss out and hit the hay. (Although what the hay ever did to me...)

Safe and restful sleep...sleep...sleep...to all!

I ended the evening with two MURDER SHE WROTE episodes. The first involved the death of a blackmailer with guest stars George Chakiris, Pamela Bellwood, Mel Ferrer, and Charles Haid.

Next was the story of the search for a long lost relative. Among the guest stars were Anita Morris, Sam Bottoms, Michael Beck, Marc Singer, and Mason Adams.

Of course, some may remember Charles Fox more for his title song to Happy Days and The Love Boat, and, more importantly...

I'm still full from my Subway Club, which, along with a couple of cookies and chips, is all I've eaten today.

Some of you might remember seeing pictures of my coffee table, which has a very heavy glass top perched on the ears of rabbits. I have a lot of magazines on it to keep it weighed down.

It didn't work tonight---when we came home the floor was almost covered with magazines, mail, paperwork, etc. They had knocked the glass off the rabbit ears. Everyone looked rather guilty. I'm just glad it didn't land on a kitty!

Kitty cats!!

That's all I have to say.

Sorry.

Tomorrow I should be receiving my Cult Classics DVD from Warners, so I'll undoubtedly watch something from those various volumes. Don't know which yet.

I also noticed that I have THE FAMILY STONE on the DVR recorded from Starz! I've read some nice things about the film, so I'll probably get around to it tomorrow, too.

Personally, I think I should go to New York and play General Mills:

a)  I'm inexpensive
b)  I take direction well, and
c)  I am damned talented

We're talking the stage, not the bedroom!

No one knows anything about the Courtyard by Marriott Convention Center in D.C. and its relative convenience to Union Station?
