What do you expect from a lesbian?

I loved the Cillaliz reaction to this very same exclamation in a post last night.   It reminded me of the last visit/last post of the much-venerated BrettySpaghetti (in his third "return" visit).  Bretty thought my one-word posting of "Doody" in large letters was referencing his previous post (which immediately preceded my "Doody" post).  To that he said it reminded him why he kept leaving HainesHisWay.

Ye need thicker skin than that to survive the everchanging moods of HainesHisWay!

Cilla got it right, though.  Assume nothing and just ask what it meant.

:D

Reacting that way is kind of funny ;D

Oh, I knew he wasn't referring to me. I just didn't know who he was referring to.

Jrand, after consulting with Pogue, I'm moving the trip one week - to April 24th.  We're just trying to figure out if we're going to try and see it on Friday night (the day I arrive) or Saturday night.  Once we know that, then I'll let you know all the particulars.

I suggest not making the night you arrive, just in case the flight is delayed.

SCI FI LANDS AT BUCK CREEK (from the Indy Star today)

Buck Creek Players' "On the Home Front" season continues tonight with the opening of musical comedy "The Brain from Planet X," by Bruce Kimmel and David Wechter.

D. Scott Robinson directs this production of a spoof on low-budget science-fiction movies of the 1950s. The story starts with an alien invasion, with an ordinary middle-class California family as the target.

Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2:30 p.m. Sundays in the Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Ave. The production, which is not recommended for children younger than 13, runs through April 25.

Reserve tickets ($16; $14 for students and seniors) by calling (317) 862-2270.

Tomorrow someone I am starting to be interested in is going to stop over to look at my windows.  He does restoration on historic buildings and is telling me I should take the windows out repair them and put them back in.  I think it sounds like way too much work, but if he wants to come over to show me what he's talking about well....I'm glad to have him stop by ;)

What's next?  Let's change Harold Hill if the actor playing him is wrong for the role or too untalented to play it as written.

I didn't like Matthew Broderick in the part either.

Well you might have had they had the good sense to rewrite the show for him.   ;D

I shall shortly be on my way to the Bank of Bur for some chow and then a play.  Earlier at my lunch meeting at the West Hollywood Hugo's I had a bacon and cheese omelet that was really small, so I'll be ready for a reasonable-sized but not insane dinner.  Once upon a time, going to Mo's I would have had their great burger, but I'm so not in a meat frame of mind these days - I never thought that would happen, but the fact is I haven't eaten meat more than twice in a month for the last year.

George, I'd probably see the show on the 7th - do the talkback if they like - have our get-together, and then fly home on the 8th.

I want you to spend part of that talkback recruiting new acolytes for this here site!

Shakespeare aside, I don't understand why an actor would want to take on a role that another actor has made "his own".

Broderick was stupid to take on Harold Hill, just as Jeff Bridges is in doing the remake of TRUE GRIT.  As good an actor as he is, he is not John Wayne.

I wonder if, as rumored, Hugh Grant is going to try to outshine Rex Harrison in the proposed remake of MY FAIR LADY.

DR CP is that a documentary on TV or available on DVD?

I got it through Amazon.  It's British, but it is an all-region tape.

BK, as explained earlier, now that we've moved it to the weekend of the 24th, I cannot do Friday, as I have a screenwriting class I teach at 9:00 on Saturday.  It's over at noon. After that, I will be free to make tracks to Indianapolis apparently about 2 and half hours away from my digs.

Good Evening!

Laundry completed.  Cleaning completed.  Organizing... well, almost completed.

And now...

Time to head down to Chinatown to board the overnight bus to Richmond.

Laters...
