A lengthy phone call interrupted me during the fourth (of five) episodes, and caused me to be unable to watch THE MOON SPINNERS tonight (since I want to see it all in one sitting and it's almost 2 hours long.)

It's first up tomorrow.

I'm watching the ORIGINAL THEATRICAL RELEASE of "Star Wars" (sans the addition of "A New Hope" in the opening scroll...and with all original SFX).

And it's fabulous.

I insist you watch it TONIGHT.

Do not go to bed.

Drink several cups of hot, strong coffee and watch it NOW!

I'd sleep through it no matter how good it is. I'm tired.

Tomorrow for sure.

When you put your arms around her
Was she prettier than I

The characters surrounding Brenda are SO interesting and fun.

I love them, too! Provenza (G.W. Bailey, or as my young producers refer to him as, "The OLD guy") was in the first movie I ever worked on, "Summer of my German Soldier", back in 1978. It was one of his first films, too. Making us *both* old!

BK, I do get to meet actors when I'm cutting features. I will see them at dailies, parties, looping sessions, etc. I look at them every day and feel like I know them, although often I only know them by their character's name, unless they're a well-known actor. When I finally meet them in person, I feel like they should know me, since I look at them every day. So there's always a weird moment when I have to make the mental leap from their 2D image to seeing them in the flesh.

Not so much.

But Luke Skywalker uses the force when he hears the dead Ben Kenobi's voice and destroys the Death Star just like he shot womp rats back on Tattooine!

Everyone is thrilled.

I just love him. Loved the episode last season (my favorite episode actually) with the sexy Jason O'Mara and Jefferson Mays as the doctor when the doctor was trying to run and G.W. didn't bother trying to catch him. Just stood there watching everyone else trying to apprehend him. Breaks me up every time I watch it.

I can't find it online, but back when the Last Starfighter musical was first mentioned on the internet, someone who was making fun of us a little had put up a picture of Robert Preston in his Star Car pulling in to the trailer park, and the caption was "Ya got trouble, right here in...what did you say the name of this dump is?"

So my folks had the traditional dipping of challah into honey.  Because it was Shabbos, i think, they didn't do the throwing away of sins into the water.
