Julie Andrews has never won a Tony which I have bitched about on this forum on several occasions.

Well she lived down the street about six blocks.  I always noticed her because she was tied to a tree in the front yard.  A couple of months ago a package was delivered to our house and it was for some people down the street.  I walked down there to take it to them.

Well, I managed to screw up the recording of LOVELY TO LOOK AT this afternoon, so I'll have to wait for it to come around again to record it. The restored videotape will have to do me until that time.

Truth be told, the Technicolor on the tape is much richer than the color on the TCM transfer. It's sharper, naturally, than the tape, but that restored color on the tape is eye popping.

I spent the afternoon watching ANGEL episodes. I saw five in all and now have only two left from Season 3. Wesley has aliented the gang. Connor has returned from the hell dimension and grown into a rebellious teenager. Cordelia's Gru is growing increasingly jealous of her feelings for Angel. And Lorne is as funny and endearing as ever.

The vote at USATODAY is that Ace will go home tonight. Bucky is the other one with overwhelmingly negative karma.

I haven't read many novelizations of films. One that I did read and disliked intensely was THE STING. They changed the names of some of the main characters, and it was much less entertaining than David Ward's witty and inventive screenplay.

LOL....as a matter of fact....she fancies herself quite a singer and will join in when any music is being played.

I'm off to see THE DROWSY CHAPERONE with Alex Rybeck.  I will meet DRs Jose and William F Orr as soon as I know where they've decided on dinner.  I am looking forward to the show!

Alex Rybeck has been playing piano in my car, on Faith Prince's Leap of Faith CD.  Please tell him how much I've enjoyed it!  And Hugs for DRs Jose and WFO (& Joe), and for you, too, dear DR Elmore.

Have fun, theatre-goers and diners!

I watched CAPOTE this afternoon and though PSH did a very good job.  He seemed to be Truman....the one I remember mostly from talk show appearances....usually three sheets to the wind and nearly incoherent....

I also remember the splash that IN COLD BLOOD made when it was published and how amazed I was at the book itself.
