Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of Kritzerland at Sterling's 90, and now it is time for you to post until the 90 cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CHEVELURE!
-
Hello.
-
I enjoyed the notes,
-
Is This Sami going leaving town to attend a university?
-
Nice pictures in the notes.
-
Yes, Sami's going to Pace University in NY.
-
Very exciting. I wish her a great experience.
-
Off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Hello I am back in NY and preparing for work
-
We got home last night after some insane traffic which added over 2 hours to the trip
-
One of the boys from our church ( in fact, my mom's next door neighbor) is enrolled in Paces dance program
He'll be a junior this year...he loves it
-
Another member was on their security team for years and he attended all the programs they had with actors and actresses speaking with the theatre students
-
I hope Sami will be very happy there
-
Has she ever lived in the north? Our winters may come as a bit of a shock
-
Many vibes and prayers for TCB's niece
-
Good morning, all! DR vixmom, it's wonderful to see you.
-
The cats have been antsy all morning. Annabelle's been sneezing since 5:30 and Thatch didn't touch his breakfast.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Congrats on last show at the Federal, and here’s to a new beginning at the new jernt.
-
A laurel and hearty welcome back to vixmom. I hope the Florida respite was a good one.
-
Three days off! Three days off!
No more mush! Three days off!
-
T.O.D.
"The Summer Knows" from SUMMER OF '42.
"The Windmills of Your Mind" from THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR.
-
HA! I have three days off as well....not since April!!
My furniture for BAREFOOT IN THE PARK has been ordered....the majority will arrive at the theater tomorrow with the sofa scheduled for August 17.... I only spent about $780 for everything.... A nice bit of my $2500 budget, but I don't have to buy much else....and it will look NEW because it is!
-
Lovely notes and lovely photos in the notes.
Goodbye, Federal.
And I am sure Mr. Cole Porter would have approved of the new lyrics for "You're the Top" - he was always besieged with request for NEW and MORE lyrics for the show for special occasions, and he usually obliged....
-
TOD:
Hmmmmmm.....I like his scores for several films.....I shall have to see some other lists....
DR DRUXY's choices are nice.
DR DRUXY your movie It Happened At the World's Fair is available ON Demand on Comcast....I watched it a couple of times....you should be getting a residual check soon.... :D
-
Good morning.
-
Good morning!
-
Welcome back, DR vixmom!
-
Yes welcome home DR VIXMOM....where are the fotos?
-
DR CHAS SMITH.....I guess FDR did the only thing possible.....
-
Page Two Ninety degree dance....it's going to be hot again today.
I am getting my driver's license renewed this week - I have the documents to get the SPECIAL ID....birth certificate, Social Security Card, Passport, Bank Statement, Utility Bill.....
-
Love the "You're the Top" lyrics!!!
-
That's so great to be making it once a season, or however you describe the 3 or 4 times a year. It was clearly being taken for granted, based in what BK was describing. That should make each one an event.
-
DR CHAS SMITH.....I guess FDR did the only thing possible.....
I can walk!!!!! :)
Too bad, though. It would have been a nice touch on that moment if they'd wheeled him off in character. He's really good in the role, having the look, the voice, and the mannerisms down beautifully.
-

They're calling for ninety-one here today.
And I did that last time, got the little star or whatever it is on the Connecticut license. It was also the most pleasant renewal I've ever experienced because I was able to do it at a AAA office instead of a DMV. World of difference. Which of course is probably no surprise to anyone in any state.
-
Has she ever lived in the north? Our winters may come as a bit of a shock
Summers were the big shock to me. The problem with winter was having no idea how to dress or what clothes to buy.
-
Welcome home DR Vixmom.
-
I am looking forward to reading about your trip.

Wow, at AAA, pretty nice.
-
And it was a nice AAA office, as those things go.
-
Frog and Toad CD arrived. Must listen to it sometime today.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Getting work done, which is a surprise.
-
TOD
I liked his music for Umbrellas of Cherbourg, Amour and Marguerite, even if the latter two had book/lyric problems.
-
Welcome back, Vixmom. Hope your first day at work is uneventful.
-
Congratulations on a great show, BK.
-
Had to stop listening to The Great Alone. The father character was just too brutally ugly. And I just don’t need that right now.
So, I went back to Madeline Miller’s Circe, where the father is equally brutal. Can’t get a break.
-
Good morning/afternoon.

And if you've learned your lesson well
There's little more for her to tell
One last caress, it's time to dress for fall

I tried getting mine at AA, but they wouldn't do it.

Welcome home, vixmom!

It is already getting warm here.

I didn't get up until 7:00 this morning.

Funny, they wheeled me off, too.

"We Have Always Lived in the Castle" was a bit of a downer but at least it was short.
-
Happy Birthday to former DR TD!
-
CONTINUED VIBES FOR THE MOTHER OF DR RON!
-
Thank goodness he is retired and back home to be there for her.
-
I had a nice swim today. With all this hot weather I am sorry I haven't been able to go more often.
-
I am home from City Center and happy to be back in the AC.
-
I'm up, I'm up - and was up for most of the night and morning with tummy problems - not really nauseous, though, just feeling a little queasy, enough to keep me up. I'm not sure I got more than three or four hours of sleep.

"We Have Always Lived in the Castle" was a bit of a downer but at least it was short.
It’s on my short list.
-
What drugs was Ben Brantley dropping when he wrote that rave review of Moulin Rouge?
-
That movie was butt ugly and the stage version sounds worse despite a great cast.
-
"We Have Always Lived in the Castle" was a bit of a downer but at least it was short.
"We Have Always Lived in the Castle, rehearsal trailer from the musical" - I saw this musical at Yale Rep quite a few years ago. I liked the material a lot, but I think the Times was lukewarm, so it didn't transfer to NY.

Hurry up and read it. The movie is coming out soon though that is not the reason I read it.

It looks interesting. Maybe if the movie is a hit the musical will return.
-
Picked up a couple of packages, went to Gelson's and got stuff to make tuna sandwiches, came home, made them, ate them, and put out an ask for a gal performer and am waiting for a response, and am now listening to music - tonight I'll watch a motion picture.
-
Well, I must be off. I'm going to the Legally Blonde production meeting. Hopefully, I haven't forgotten something that they'll need to know...or I've not done something that I should've. I'll find out soon enough!
Be back later!

I'd forgotten about the musical. Now I do remember, the Times was not nice.
Not every musical can be Moulin Rouge.
-
Right now, I'm watching something called Head. It stars The Monkees and features a script co-written by Jack Nicholson. Written and directed by Bob Rafelson. I'm surprised because it's pretty good. And a very young Terry Garr is funny in a short scene.
-
The new boss is beginning make her presence felt. And it's curious to see what's going to happen next. I think she's going to take my work wife and put her on a project. So, I might have to do her job and mine for awhile.
-
I guess we live in interesting times.
-
JohnG - I recall that part of the excitement of the show's second act was one surprising (but still logical storywise) development, then another, then another. I gathered from the Times review then that the reviewer was familiar with the book, so didn't feel the turns, really knew they were coming.
-
Here's the Times review. He does seem quite familiar with the novel. (but that's likely expected when a critic reviews a adaptation)

Hmmm, I think I might like to see this. Chances are I did way back then.

Sorry about that. I hope overall, as time progresses, you are pleased with your new boss.

George, thanks for your comment last night on the Paula Dean/Elle Woods number.

I'm pleased with her. Don't get me wrong. But, well, I'm a Lutheran. And we don't like change.
-
Just got off the phone with my sister. Her husband had a TIA over the weekend. He's getting better. Still, it's scary.
-
DR Jrand67, I saw this Hirschfeld today and thought of you.
-
Ah, there's Annette Funicello with Davy Jones.

Let's move on.

Good night, all.
-
I got to work at 8 and discovered myriad errors, Ommissions and an emense number of emails
-
As the coworkers trickled in there was much rejoicing at my return
-
Apparently two of the ladies were there until 8 every night and came in again on Saturday
-
The boss bought a nice lunch for the office
-
All my clients and many attorneys reached out to welcome me back
-
We had a meeting this evening where my boss announced that I really needed a second assistant
-
And I was there until 8 getting things ready for a closing for tomorrow for which no one remembered to schedule a Closer to attend or to obtain any of the needed info to prepare the paperwork
-
And everyone of my coworkers approached me separately at one point or another throughout the day to say they didn't realize exactly how demanding my job was and to offer additional assistance
-
So that was nice
-
It will take me the rest of the week to get things back in shape though
-
When I got home at 8:30 Vixdad had not yet eaten so we decided to goto the Texas Roadhouse for dinner
-
There we were greeted by several friends of Vix and her ex manager who all asked after her and were p,eased to hear we were just back from a visit
-
And I remembered I had a coupon for a free entree (won at their anniversary celebration last month) so our whole dinner was under $17
-
So that was nice
-
And I need to be up at 6:30 so goodnight from me
-
No real photos from this trip
-
Sorry Jack
-
Continued vibes and prayers for TCB's niece
-
We did finalize the wedding venue however
-
Still at the timeshare
-
But we were able to increase the room size by means of a retractable wall and renting the sports bar on the other side
-
I can never remember how many posts to a page
-
I suppose I could,d go back a page a figure it out
-
But where's the fun in that?
-
And the word of the day is: CHEVELURE!
My first car was a chevelure
-
Thank you all for the warm welcome back I missed youze guyz
-
But I promised Vixdad to keep my face out of the iPad this Vaca
-
Oh looky!

Page 5 appeared

Just like Jack from one of those musical boxes
-
And so to sleep
