Well, BK, I still want to see TEAM AMERICA because I think SOUTH PARK is still the funniest, sharpest, over-the-top, dead-on-target satire on TV.
DEAD RINGERS is, I agree, a laudable film, but I found it so uncomfortable that I don't think I ever need to see it again.
My favourite Harold Arlen song is OUT OF THIS WORLD with lyrics by Johnny Mercer. It is from a Paramount movie of the same title in the late forties where Eddie Bracken plays a schlub who when he sings happens to sound just like Bing Crosby. The voice is, of course, dubbed by the old Groaner himself. His version of the song is still the best version I've ever heard...despite the fact, that it has lately seemed to had a resurgence in popularity with many and sundry adding it to their repertoire. I have an audio tape version of Crosby doing it quite prettily, but the only version of his that I can find on CD is excerpt from the movie with a cameo of his kids speaking over the song.
It is a haunting lovely melody with a lovely Mercer lyric.
