Seems kind of quiet on the net this afternoon. Didn't have much new reading at any of the sites I usually go to in the afternoon.

Carol Lynley sure would need a LOT more blue denim than she needed back in '59!

DRs Ben and Noel - thank you for your comments on the neighborhood of W. 54th St. at 9th Ave.  Any other New Yorkers care to chime in?

DR Elmore?
DR Jose?
DR FJL?

I've been lazy.  Just about finished proofing, and have entered all fixes into the master Brain script - David highlighted changes in some way I can't figure out how to get rid of - anyone have any clews?  In other words, he didn't do it how you would normally do it, from the Word menu bar - the shades are completely different.

Is that the Track Changes function?

I'm going to head down now and hope the mail has come with some musicals for me to watch. Otherwise, I'll be mixing and matching MOONLIGHTING and the SUPERMAN serial until THE CLOSER comes on.

I cleaned the dining room this morning, so I don't have that to do at least.

Off to rehearsal despite DR RLP's reservations.

Oh, dear.  Did someone call in reservations in my name?

I'm afraid I shan't be able to make it.  You'll have to go on without me.

If he doesn't want them, I'm sure Bernadette Peters might jump at the chance to get them.

It's a nice neighborhood.  It's a bit "empty" right now due to a couple of empty store fronts on the south-east side of 9th Ave.  However, El Centro is right on the corner there - great Mexican food.  -I believe DR Cillaliz and I ate there.  Plus, you're right down the street from DR Jason's former workplace - MTI.  There are some other good, basic diners in the area too.

You'd be a few blocks from the 50th and 59th Street/Columbus Circle subway stops too.  Plus, there's a mini-farmer's market that sets up shop up on the corner or 9th and 57th.  And since you're not on 8th Ave., and a few blocks from Times Square, it's also quieter at night.

Just had a great conversation with Miss Cindy Williams.  She's about to be offered a current B'way show replacing someone (it's not a done deal and details have to be ironed out) but she's petrified of the songs.  So, I told her this was not something she should think about, that she HAD to do it, and that the songs would be no problem and that we'd work together on it here until she was completely comfortable with it before even beginning rehearsals.  And, what made her ever more comfortable was that if it were to work out, she'd rehearse in September and I'll be there, and if she's freaking out or needs help I can provide it.

Great news!  At what point can you say which show??

I think Cindy Williams would be great as either Velma Von tussle or Prudy Pingleton in HAIRSPRAY.  Also the Debra Monk role in CURTAINS.

Hopefully I will be home for the 11 pm CLOSER showing....and hopefully Orson Bean won't show his mug again.

Wow! What got your panties in a bunch over Mr Bean?  Does this mean you never listen to ILYA DARLING?

The first show I thought of when BK mentioned Cindy Williams' name and all the songs was MAMMA MIA.
