What I love ,George, is I didn't include the original caption and then bleeped the potentially offending word, but if you look at the name under which I saved the picture...the offendng word is right out there.

Well, we've missed our second window of opportunity to get the new TV in and the old TV out in the brief little respites from the rain.  It is now pouring once again.  I HATE THIS RAIN!  SOMEONE TURN IT OFF!

ERUMPENT!

Ssshh... the ain-ray may hear you.

I just began reading the Sunday paper, and on the front page it says  “In a year of record rainfall….”

Yesterday there was a picture of the City of Studio.

I read an article about Barry Manilow on Newsweek recently. It reminded me of him, a lot I’d listened Mandy long ago. They say the opinions would be divided into two, he saved the music of the 70s or he spoiled. And now I’m wondering if he is the one who has been respected by people or has made a laughingstock of himself, as a musician… In the interview even he made a joke knocking himself every 10 minutes. But I think he is talented.

Barry's seventies work is terrific.

Wiring is now just about through, and testing of same begins.  Then TV comes in.  Meanwhile, Juliana and dad are out getting us food and we'll dine here so we're not rushed.

Hmm... I really must have reset my internal body clock - Circadian (sp?) rhythm.  It's only past 10:00, and I'm already feeling drowsy.  Who knows?  Maybe exercise is not all it's cracked up to be.

Wiring is almost finished.

Which is more than I can say for this incessant rain.
That's why it's called incessant rain.

Old TV is heading out the door momentarily, to be followed by new TV coming in.

Open question to anyone who uses Adelphia for the Cable service and has their HD package.

Programs that are presented in widescreen, do you get gray bars on top and bottom or does the whole picture fit the screen?

Running theme on ANGEL is that Angel himself is a big Barry Manilow fan. . . .
The only Daisy I'm gonna need this week will be in Tuesday's mail. . .a certain Ms. Gamble.  She's arriving with Mssrs. Michaelangelo and Francis of Assisi. . .  ;)

We've had rain all day, too, but it was only drizzle all day; not monsoons. We had that about three years ago when I thought my house was going to float away. We got a year's worth of rain in less than a month.

The SNL special was very interesting.  I liked the world/cultural background, well, what was going on in the world and culturally when the show first started.

The segment on Gilda Radner... I still miss her, but her characters still make me laugh.

In retrospect, after all the admitted drug use and abuse, it's sort of amazing that only one original cast member, John Belushi, died from drug abuse.

Yep, I should be receiving at some point this week Ms. Daisy Gamble with the atrocious Yves Montand ruining what could have been a wonderful movie musical/ I'm sorry, but I think he is worse than terrible in this movie.

I think what DR Michael is asking is are high definition network broadcasts shown full screen or do you still see letterboxing when high definition programs play?

Well, folks, since I'm already very sleepy and tired... And since I'm hoping to have a productive day tomorrow - even though it is a holiday, albeit a Federal one...  Off to the Land of Wussburgers I go...

BK - Hope the new TV looks just the way you hope it will look.  Even better!  And hope you had a nice dinner with Juliana and her father.

Goodnight.

Congratulations on your kiss from Hayley.  It's always nice having your fantasies come to life.  She is a lovely and extremely talented woman.

Today was sunny, however the rain in California is supposed to hit us in a day or two.

I read the notes, but haven't read the posts yet.  Doe s anyone know which Simpson character came out tonight?

TV is up and running but still being configured.  Had a lovely dinner with Juliana and dad.  I think another fifteen minutes or so it will be done.  There are a few new things to learn fromt the way the old TV worked.  He'll show me everything momentrarily.  We had Star Wars on and I must say it looks incredibly sharp in a way the other TV never did.  It's a very different kind of image, however, and my eyes have to get used to it after five years of the other.

Hello all! I am hopefully back for awhile. I am still quite busy, but I will try to keep up with things. Things have officially fallen through for me going to New York for PennyO's show. My parents came up to see me in Godspell this past weekend, and stayed the night up here in a  hotel. They let me know today that my grandma just found out she has breast cancer and it has matasticized in her liver and if I remember right they think it might be in the bone. There will be more definitive test results coming back soon, but my mom is a nurse who works with cancer patients who are dying and she thinks it is only a matter of time. We'll know just what is going on with the next set of test results so I could definitely use some good vibes for my family. It's very sad but I have been very lucky to be surrounded by such supporting and loving people so I have been doing well so far.

Poor, poor Sandra Dee.

Such a life....such heights, such depths.

I'll forever remember her delicacy and promise in "Until They Sail."
