JRand, CAPE CANAVERAL MONSTERS does have ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE'S Scott Peters (Mac, the Marine) in a rare lead role, that alone made me buy the movie.

DR Vincent, hoping you find the perfect pooch...and be sure to post a photo of your new canine, when you find one!

Last night I took two boxes of old towels and blankets to the Humane Society and then looked around at the cats and dogs.

As I was leaving one of the employees told me that they were already putting the blankets to use, so that was nice to hear.

If you have a Humane Society near you check out their website, they will often list items that are needed and you never know, it might be something you have been meaning to get rid of.

I am taking a 3 day weekend in order to get the remainder of my unpacking done. I awoke at 5:30 am so am getting a nice, early start...well, once I get off the computer, anyway.

Friday morning greetings!  Today I have session #17 of cardiac rehab, followed by another test results appointment with another specialist (hematologist).  Let's hope HE releases me...

Thanks to DRs Laura, Vixmom, and Jose for the vibes they posted last night.

And I was very sad to learn that actress Aubrey Martin, who was featured in one of my all time favorite science fiction films THIS IS NOT A TEST passed away. I don't know when she passed, but it was not too long ago.

BK,The Lovely Wife and I just saw an ad for BEAUTY & THE BEAST on the telly and were bemoaning the fact that conventional animation has gone the way of the dinosaur and that we'd loved it so much.

For those of you in the Los Angeles area, I hope you'll stop by my book signing on Sunday, October 17th.

It would be nice to meet some of you face-to-face.

The gala event will be held at 2pm at the Mystery and Imagination Bookshop on Brand Avenue in Glendale.

If you've been to BK's signings there, I'm sure you know where it is.

 :)

Michael, please says hello for me to my pals, Malcolm and Christine.  For my money, theirs is still the best used bookstore I know...

Greetings from Toyland!

I am doing several jobs today, most of them belonging to an office manager we no longer have because the Institute will not let us hire one. What I'm doing, beyond printing LADY OF THE SLIPPER edits and waiting for a Fed Ex delivery, is cleaning out the office of our wonderful, former office manager who left in May 2009, so that an employee of the Institute's California office can work here for some time.

It would be nice if the California office would provide us with tracking info, but we have no choice except to wait and hope it's on a truck.

Good morning! I'm still wrestling with Vampires and taxes. One webisode is approved and should go live shortly. The second one is basically approved but they're sending more episodes today so I will have more of a choice of footage. So I'll start on the third today, and when I take breaks, work on taxes. Either way, they both suck!

So of course, I'm doing neither, but reading HHW and just finished watching Edward Arnold and Frances Farmer in COME AND GET IT. I started wondering if Eddie Arnold was related to him. Edward did have a son; Edward Arnold Jr. who was also an actor. I looked him up; here are some of his roles:

1940 Holiday Inn
Second Dancer Ted Bumps Into (uncredited)

1940 The Quarterback
Fat Football Player (uncredited)

1939 Million Dollar Legs
Blimp Garrett

1938 Mr. Doodle Kicks Off
Football Player (uncredited)

1938 Little Tough Guy
Fat (uncredited)

1937 Life Begins in College
Husky (uncredited)

1937 Blazing Barriers
Percival Throckmorton 'Fats' Moody

Guess he was kind of a big guy...

DR George---thank you for making all those South Pacific DVDs! I'm looking forward to sharing it with my mom. I had hoped to take her when we come to NY for the theatrical opening of JEWS AND BASEBALL, but since it's closed, this is the next best thing!

And we'll get to see PeeWee, like Monkey!

My house has been invaded for weeks by soldier bugs. Since they are considered "beneficials", we don't kill them but try to take them outside. I have no idea how they're getting in here but this same thing happened at the same time last year.

Seasonal allergy vibes to Cillaliz. I'm also affected by something right now; not sure what it is, but I'm trying not to let it get me sick!

From DR Vincent:
Quote
I used to have fish, but I could never keep them alive, so I am about to get a dog. Something small and cute. I'll be visiting the local animal shelter shortly to see if one there catches my eye.

We will want photos.   Best of luck finding your perfect dog!!!

LOL!  I'm sure it will be wonderful, because I've never actually seen the movie, just listened to  the New Christy Minstrels' recording Today.
