After that, I watched, of all things, BATMAN - THE MOVIE. No, not the Tim Burton movie with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson.
No, this is the 1966 Adam West-Burt Ward BATMAN movie made between the second and third seasons of the show. I had read that Fox is going to put this out on Blu-ray this summer, and since I had it but had only watched it once years ago, I thought I'd watch it again upconverted.
It's not a good movie, and it's actually the TV series stretched out to almost two hours with the four top villains of the show all crammed into one movie. A mess. Yes, there are some funny bits, and it's nice to see the TV trappings in a wider frame and with excellent color. But those wider trappings also reveal the tattiness of the standing sets like the Bat Cave.
Anyway, this version will do just fine. It actually looked superb upconverted. Not a movie I would watch that much more often just becuase it was on Blu-ray, so I'll pass on it.
