DR JRand - my condolences to you, the Putnam County Playhouse, and to Ernie's family and friends.  No better tribute to him than a smashing opening night - break a leg!

Prayers & vibes to Aunt Jo!

Thank you, DR Jane.  She was asleep when I got there, so I just talked to her nurse.  The doctor had not yet been there today, so we don't know much.

And in other HD movie theatre news...

Earnest: Live in HD starts today. Click the link to see if it's coming to a cinema near you.

When I first read this, I actually was thinking of Jim Varney's Ernest..."Ernest Goes to Camp" or "Ernest Saves Christmas" or "Ernest Scared Stupid" or....

I am really nauseous - hope it's not food poisoning, which I really don't need.  And I lost my sunglasses - we were at a place called Pomodoro before the show - I was pretty sure I'd had hooked on the neck of my sweater, but maybe I put 'em on the table.  I called and they haven't found them as of yet.  I also called the Gardenia and asked them to check so we'll see about that - those are the only two possible places.

Thanks DR JANE.

And thanks to all at HHW for the vibes and thoughts.

Ernie passed away late last night.  I will be putting his photo, some flowers, and a card in the lobby tonight.  As per his wish, we will have a Memorial/Celebration at the theatre on Sunday, June 5, at 2 p.m.

Jack, my condolences to you and to his family.

Break a Leg in his honor tonight!!

I have an extra week of vacation to use this year. I already used a day for my Follies trip in DC.

For the first time in my 27-year career for the library, I am at our use-it-or-lose-it vacation time limit!  I HAVE to take time off this month.  I've never been there before...at one point, I only had four, count 'em FOUR hours of vacation!  So, two weeks from tomorrow, my friend Margo and I are going to a Seattle Storm women's basketball game (my niece bought tickets and can't go that night) and I'll just take another day off, some other time. ;D

I have no plans (or money) to go anywhere for a real vacation, so I'll just use up the time as I need to.

(I know that's kind of weird, but the song is so haunting)

I actually like this song, too.

I was going to try to go swimming tomorrow. But I don' t think that will be a good idea.

I planted flowers and unfortunately was so tired from just weeding the garden and putting out the earth that i couldn't actually plant the flowers!

But i did plant them later.

It looks like I will be getting mail tomorrow (tonight at midnight is when Canada Post workers were supposed to go on strike).

Interestingly, they are still most likely going on strike (if they don't reach a deal by tonight). But they are going to do a rotating strike starting with Winnipeg.

I have the Nudie Musical stuff - five prints and some sort of negative, which is probably the CRI - it's dated 1976 in one of the cans - the cans are really interesting in that they're Italian cans - so maybe at some point they sent this thing off to Italy, although I have never heard of any overseas engagements for this film in foreign-speaking countries.

Next step will be to have it inspected and get a report - I'll probably do that at a Burbank lab called Foto-Kem.

I'm still feeling really sketchy, and the nausea remains.  I went and sat on the couch and fell asleep instantly - two hours later and I'm up again.

There was a thin film can that was sitting there with a foreign language on it. He didn't know what it was, but since it had the Nudie title on it, he sent it with the rest.
