Well, you've read the notes, the notes were celebratory, and now it is time for you to post until the seven year cows come home.

I found HHW by following a link posted by bk on "All That Chat" regarding the annual Oscar bash.  I already knew of bk through his many albums and columns at Sondheim.com.  And I discovered this community of the most wonderful, amazing folks.  And I am very grateful that I did.

I must return to my computer. While I have popped in and out over the past few days I haven't posted much. I have little projects that must be finished before I leave for a month (November 29th is my last day of work for 2007) so I'm somewhat pressed for posting time. We are also about to launch the redesign of our new database and I've been involved in the testing of said device. Testing new databases can be fun but also quite frustrating. That is all I will say.

On November 30th I (we, Anthony and me) begin my annual volunteering with Broadway Cares, making the Stephen J. Falat Holiday Gift Baskets. We make approximately 3000 gift bags for people with AIDS which are delivered to various AIDS Service Organizations in New York City. If any of you New Yorkers are free from Friday November 30th through Friday December 14th and would like to help us we would love to have you. You don't need to commit to the entire time. An hour here or there helps enormously.

We especially need people on Friday, November 30 because that's the day the boxes are delivered. During the year money is raised and purchases of things like sweaters, gloves, hats, scarves and socks are made (unfortunately we don't get this stuff donated, we have to buy it but we get it at wholesale). They are delivered the Friday before we begin to fill the bags. This year it's November 30th. The more bodies we have at Actors' Equity on 46th Street the faster the trucks get unloaded. You will meet some wonderful people and have a good time doing good work, so come out and help us.

If you're interested you can either PM me here for more information or just show up on Friday, November 30th at the Actors' Equity Lounge on the 2nd Floor. It's at 165 West 46th Street. You need to show ID to enter the building. If you're an actor with an Equity card, just show that and go up to the second floor. If you don't have an Equity card just show ID at the front desk and go up to the Lounge. You don't need to belong to Equity to help us. Just tell the person at the desk that you are there to help with the gift bags and go around the corner to the back of the lounge. We will be there working like little elves.

After the Friday marathon we work on Monday through Friday from about 10am-4pm (depending on how much needs to be done each day) from Dec. 3-7 and Dec. 10-14.

Here is an article from the on-line Equity newsletter about last year's Basket Project.

Stephen J. Falat Basket Project (http://www.actorsequity.org/NewsMedia/news2006/Dec18.FalatProject2006.asp)

I will now return you to your regular programming.

Congratulations to BK for Six Incredible Years of HHW!

And thank you for providing us with such a wonderful place to gather.

I first found HHW while searching for a way of contacting Jerry Herman, for my DF Sharry.  I never found an address for Mr. Herman, but I found a wonderful group of friends, who I often tend to think of as family.

My obsession with radio and show music all came together in 2002 when I was searching for Internet radio stations playing show music. I found the archived material at the Site That Must Not Be Named. I listened to all of Donald's old shows then searched his name and found this here site! What a gold mine. Not only do I get Donald's radio show but I get a group of people full of love and kindness and kind of quirky to boot  ;)

That's how I found my way to Haines His Way.

I often find myself at a loss to describe my relationship to the people I have gotten to know here at HHW.  I have met several of the Hainses and Kimlets in person, including BK; but I feel such a strong bond of love and friendship with so many others at this site, even though I have yet to meet them face to face.

Does one person have to meet another person face to face in order to consider them a friend; or can the bond of friendship be forged over an internet cable, a monitor, and a keyboard?

Wednesday morning greetings!  I'm working the late shift today because tonight is our annual "Meet the Grantmaker" panel.  It was nice to sleep in a bit and relax here at home before beginning my busy day with a noon meeting at the Miami Valley Communications Council.

Happiest of Anniversaries to HHW!  DR Elmore invited me into BK's living room in the fall of 2004 - hope I have the chance to thank him in person this week.  Thanks to BK for the hospitality!

The man in Cymbeline has muscles to spare! He's a British actor and does quite a good job as the villain of the piece. Unfortunately I have no contact numbers. The membership department of British Actors' Equity would not give me that information  ;)

Although I think the Internet has contributed, in some ways, to the dissolution of civility in society as a whole I do think there are exceptions and this is one of them. I think, TCB, that friendship is as important in the virtual world as in the real world. Though I have not met you face to face, we are friends in my book!

DR TCB - your question reminds me of the stories you hear from times past about pen pals who corresponded for years before meeting.  I think the electronic friendships that flourish here are the 21st century equivalents.

Good morning, all!  First of all, congrats and kudos to BK for six years of a wonderful party!  BK, your memoirs of Mr Levin were quite loverly as well.

DR TCB, the actor with the muscles is Jonathan Cake; you can look him up on IMDB.  I understand from friends working on the production that he's a bit too aware of his charisma.

I've got the bank and the post office today.  I am a bit melancholy iver the fact that, while my brother may calm down, Lady M has no intentions of ending the war.  Jo and Randy are celebrating Thanksgiving on sunday for me and all my nephews, niece, spouses and children are coming.  Jo invited Lady M last week, and she declined.  Randy invited M, who didn't know about it! Last night, after the meeting, Randy and Jo reminded them, and Lady M's response was "no way in hell."  I guess it's the curse of being a selfish, evil, narcissistic, conniving piece of Cheap Christmas Trash.

DR Jose, I might consider a trip to Boston with you for the production.

TOD:  I came to HHW because of Liz Callaway who, in the autumn of 2003, needed help to put together her concert library, and who had asked me about some work.  Loking at all of the charts from her recordings, we were reminiscing about BK and exchanging the gossip that was going around about the situation with a recording company who shall be nameless.  I had lost touch with BK, and turned down the last album he offered me because I didn't want to work with the MD/arranger of it. That had been several years before and I had gone to Toyland and other occupations. When Liz told me that BK now had this site, I went to it, and sent him a note.  Ironically, part of my note said "Happy Thanksgiving," so it must have been around this time of the year.  BK asked me to do an interview, which I rremember doing about the beginning of January, and here I am, so grateful that I lurked around long enough to discover such a wonderful party.

I have a very unusual problem (for me at least).  My stomach is bloated.  When i measured my waist it was like 2 inches more than usual. And it just sticks out. :(

I've also had a very low-grade fever (tues and wed). It's ranged between 37.1-37.5C (which is like 99F-99.5F). Now i know that is not high. But it's not normal for me.

My stomach does not hurt per se.  It just sticks out, which is making my back sore. It doesn't hurt if i poke around in different places. It just feels uncomfortable. Although not like a stomach ache.

I've never really had bloating or gas (don't really know what that feels like). But i don't think it's gas or heartburn.

I catch things fairly easily. and last thursday my niece had a low fever too (same as mine). Then 3 days later she had bad trouble problems and terrible diarrhea. And i was watching her which she had that.

So i'm thinking i may have caught some type of bug.

I tried tums (didn't really help).

It is just so odd I feel like i just grew a beer belly. :)

Happy Birthday to HHW! Long may it wave!!

I was directed here by Ken Mandelbaum. I read on some site, I'm not sure now which one, about bk's leaving the "place that shall not be named." Concerned that a favorite producer was no longer in the business, I wrote Ken about it, and he told me about this site. So, I owe my presence here to him. I came in right at the end of the old format before we switched over to the forum that we have now. Back then, there were only a handful of daily posters and postings. The place has surely changed since then!

Good morning. I am up and at the office and need to make some phone calls.

TOD - I've told my "how I got here" story many times but since it's the TOD.  I was listening to the Lost in Boston CD that has Rupert Holmes on it and I was working on something on my computer. So when the last song ended I just kept working.  All of a sudden I heard this guy singing "I Love Fish" (or is it I Like Fish) anyway, I had no idea what was going on.  I had played the CD on my Bose Wave Radio and I thought that somehow the radio had come on by itself and this was some show on NPR.    So I jumped up and looked and it was the CD.

Being baffled, I emailed Rupert and asked what that was (I figured he'd know since he was on the CD)  His response was "That's Bruce Kimmel". He then told me some more about Bruce and explained what an "Easter egg" is.  I did a Google search to find out more about Bruce and found this site.  I've been here ever since.

DR TCB,  I sometimes come to this site because I want to celebrate something, or I am sad or concerned about something. In those times I have found support, concern and humor from the people here - including the fine folks I have never met, like you.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HAINESHISWAY.COM!!!

It's been a great six years, and I look forward to many more.  As others have mentioned, this place just abounds with friendship.  And trust.  Heck, I still don't think it's strange that when I went to Australia a few years ago, I had no problem meeting and be hosted by DRs Tomovoz and Colin (and DDs Magnus and Fosca) when I was in Melbourne.  And that was the first time we had ever met in person.  Additionally, when I went out to Los Angeles to work on What If?, a certain former DR also graciously agreed to put me up for a weeks while I was out there. Of course, when I would try to explain to people the situation... -You met them on the internet?!?!?  Well... Yes, I did!  :)

And, yes, this site has even provided me with a bit of work from time to time not only through our very own BK, but also through various recommendations and leads from DRs and even a lurker or two.

Yes, it's not always smooth sailing here, but what Family doesn't have it's ups and downs from time to time.

And I still don't really recall just how I came over to HHW.  However, I know I was originally on the "brown board" for a while before we changed formats. So... I'm guessing I saw a banner ad over at Sondheim.com, or I was Googling for some show/performer information.

-I forget, can we search the Archives back that far?  Back to the old board?

Roasted mules.

I am intrigued.

Loved hearing MR BK's thoughts on Ira Levin (who once dated the mother of DR NOEL).

In other news...

Yes, I am flying down to Florida this afternoon.  Well, actually, I'm being flown down to Florida courtesy of the Disney Cruise Lines.  I got a call from them about an hour ago, and it turns out they need a pianist for a Broadway workshop that they are doing on the Disney Wonder this weekend.  And the real cool thing is is that the workshop just takes place for two days, five hours each day, but the cruise last four days!  V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N!  -And I have to say, that it's coming at the perfect time for me.  So...

I need to spend the next couple of hours getting things ready, so if I'm errant and truant for the rest of the day.... and during the coming weekend... That's why. :)

TOD:

I was posting at rec.music.movies (or was that rec.movies.music?).

It was the day after the Oscars when "A Beautiful Mind" had won the Oscar.  I made an off-the-cuff remark about having been amazed to learn that Brian Grazer (co-producer) was a "straight man" because, during his acceptance speech, his wrists were flapping so hard he could have lifted off with a good headwind.

I was immediately attacked by one Robert John Guttke (who thought he owned the list and all thought posted to it) who declared I was a homophobe and had to be shunned.

BK popped up, gave Guttke a little slap, and invited me to post any and all views I had about the Oscars to this here forum.  Thus it was.....

Thankfully(?), due to a recent(!) change in format and venue for Thommie Walsh's memorial (another casualty, so to speak, of the ongoing strike), I am not playing for the service this Friday.  I was asked to be the "swingboy" pianist, but Baayork will have more than enough coverage when it comes to pianists.  Yes, I am a bit "conflicted" about not being there this Friday, but I still feel honored to have been asked to be a part of the planning, and I also know that Baayork is (still) in good hands, literally.

Love the Oscar and Tony parties here at HHW - and I can't say how many CD's and DVD's I have purchased because of recommendations from other DRs.

And of course having signed copies of many BK items is fun.

I have met a few fellow HHW'ers in person including DRJOSE, DR GINNY and DH RICHARD and DS ROB, DR JOEY, DR RODZINSKI and DR TPUNK who introduced me to their friend Matthew who is now a friend and customer at World of Wisdom.

Good morning, everyone.

TOD:
Most of you know how I came to HHW. Bruce's name came up one day while I was doing a web search, I saw he had a website, saw that it was indeed the same BK, emailed him, and he and I were back in touch minutes later. He encouraged me to join all of you, saying that you couldn't be more supportive. I heartily agree! What a fine and funny and generous group you all are!

As for friendships, yes, the online world does make us rethink some of our old definitions. Perhaps friendship has more to do with what is in our hearts and less to do with physical proximity.

DS Betsy and I saw something really disturbing as I was driving her to the bus stop this morning.  A neighborhood cat had evidently just been hit by a car and was in its death throes on the street.  It was really horrible.  We couldn't stop and help it since there was so much traffic, but we called Animal Control.  By the time I came back, it looked like it was out of its misery.  It's really freaked us both out--it was horrible to see, so sad.

Interestingly, the Bing and Rosemary parts are being played in Jose's cast by the same two who played those parts in San Francisco two years ago.  Both were excellent, vocally, as I recall.  Their "parts", though, were a bit shallowly written.

I was overwhelmed by Mark Ledbetter in the Danny Kaye role. I'm sure they get topnotch performers for that role.  The best dance number in the show, as I recall, was "I Love A Piano".
Title: Re:THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH

Since it's so seldom one gets to quote oneself (other than when one is actually posting, I suppose), here is what I had to say about the production I saw Nov. 27, 2005:

The bill of fare was “Irving Berlin’s ‘White Christmas’” and what a grand spectacle it all was.

It was tuneful, beautiful, spectacular and a fine tribute to the 1954 Paramount film of the same name.

The set design was unbelievably gorgeous and sets changed so often I cannot imagine the complexity of it all.  The changes were noiseless, almost all done in total darkness.

The music was classic Berlin:  “Happy Holiday,” “Let Yourself Go,” “Love and the Weather,” “Sisters,” “The Best Things Happen While You’re Dancing,” “Snow”, “What Do You Do With A General?”, “Let Me Sing and I’m Happy,” “Count Your Blessings,” “Blue Skies,” “I Love A Piano,” “Falling Out of Love Can Be Fun,” “Sisters” (Reprise w/the boys), “Love, You Didn’t Do Right By Me/How Deep Is the Ocean?” (nightclub sequence on a set that totally blew me away!!!), “We’ll Follow the Old Man,” “Let Me Sing and I’m Happy (Reprise), “How Deep is the Ocean” (Reprise), “We’ll Follow the Old Man” (Reprise), “White Christmas”, and for the Finale, “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm.”

“Let Yourself Go,” “I Love A Piano” and the "Finale" were full-blown extended ensemble numbers with some of the finest tapping I’ve had the pleasure of seeing.  The choreography by Randy Skinner was wonderful.

The costumes were all 50s kitsch...and you’d swear Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen wore nothing snazzier than their counterparts in this show.

The plot is fairly faithful to the film, but the general’s granddaughter Susan is a 9-year-old visiting from California because she’s never seen snow!  The general’s housekeeper, Martha, is no Mary Wickes.  No, she’s a former showstopper herself and wrangles her way into Phil and Bob’s show all the while eavesdropping and jumping to Wickesian conclusions.

Susan Mansur plays Martha and she’s terrific.  A HUGE voice and a heaping helping of charisma explode onstage every time she’s on.

Husband-wife performers Graham Rowat and Kate Baldwin play the Crosby-Clooney roles.  Both have big voices.  Baldwin really sells “Love You Didn’t Do Right By Me” and Rowat is fine, with a “trained” voice that gets in the way too often for my tastes.  (To me, it’s as if he has a certain note he loves to hit and every time he hits it, it's extended and booming, but it’s seldom the note that “ought” to be accentuated.  It’s a self-conscious voice, and I hate to say it, but Baldwin indulges in that self-consciousness a few times, too).

Not so the Kaye-Ellen counterparts.  THE spectacular male performer in this show is Mark Ledbetter.  He’s a hoofer, a singer with a great voice (a great interpretive singer who lets the song be sung) and he exudes more energy than just about anybody except Mansur who has less stage time.  Shannon O’Bryan is Judy Haynes and she’s a Vera-Ellen look-alike, physically (from the Loge, at any rate), with a good voice and plenty of hoofing talent.

Ledbetter was front-and-center in both big ensemble numbers and had some good moments with O’Bryan and Howat, as well.  To me, he was the standout performer in the company.

I’ve never been fond of the framing for the story...the sappy front-lines stuff and the later “because we love him, we love him...” stuff.  Somebody fetch me an insulin sucret!

And the character development is nominal...we “know” these characters from the movie, so we get more songs and dances than we do dialogue (which is a pure-tee blessing since it’s all rooted in 1954 idiom).

The overall production, though, is splendiferous, and director Walter Bobbie has gotten everything to work...and it’s all magic, with the added Finale surprise of snow blowing out onto the audience for a reprise of "White Christmas."

A VERY enjoyable, delightful entertainment!

This past weekend, I was rearranging some of the CDs I'd been "reorganizing" into storage cases and lit on "Barbara Cook at the Met"...a CD I bought when it was released but had not listened to.

I was keen to hear Josh Groban's "Not While I'm Around."  Upon hearing it, I wanted to love it more than any version I'd heard.  And yet...I could not.  Groban is another singer who -- for whatever reason -- has certain power notes that he loves to push at the expense of nuance, in particular, and the song, as a whole.  He hit several of those notes and proudly amplified them to allow me to hear all the timbre and power of the notes...totally disengaging me from one of Sondheim's loveliest melodies.

Sigh.

I then sent him an invitation to see a show I was working on at Hollywood High School ( our choir teacher spoke very highly of Bruce when I asked ). After seeing the show, he gave me a scribble of paper with the words haineshisway.com on it, and said to look at the review he would write, and become a member and post up a storm.

I have learned a lot reading the musings and advice of the Dear Readers on this site, and it has been lovely meeting those of you I have.

It is always fun to read the stories of finding HHW.  Ron, yours is funny.

Penny O called me for Bruce’s phone number, which I gave her.  Thinking she might also need his work number, & knowing the number I had was obsolete, I did a search for his new number.  First I found that too was obsolete & then with more searching I found a link to this site.  Back then we didn’t gather on weekends & I just happened to arrive on the 5th day.

On that day Bruce just happened to mention he was looking for someone I have known since 4th grade, so of course I had to post.

Tomorrow will be my anniversary.  My first post was Thursday November 15, 2001 at 5:51PM.  I can’t believe it has been 6 years. :o :D

3DDiffusion and other interested parties - as I mentioned way back when, I was always told that it takes NYMF forever to get us our box-office monies and that is sadly proving to be the case.  I was told back then not to expect them until the end of November.  A week ago, NYMF was making noises that checks were about to be written, but, as far as I know, they haven't been, so it looks like it won't be before the end of November.

Very colorful and filled with Christmas music, though, so I'm sure families will find enjoyment in it.

An interesting thing about the SANTA CLAUSE 3 DVD. The disc contains both a full frame and a 1.78:1 anamorphic transfer. If you don't make a choice ahead of time, the default choice is the full frame version (they're both on the same side of the disc.)

DVDs have been around since 1997, widescreen TVs are much more in fashion now. Yet, family releases still default to the full frame version. Kind of sad.

I finished up my afternoon of viewing with today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. The gay characters weren't on yesterday and they weren't in the previews either, but they were on today. Of course, just when something interesting and memorable seemed to be happening, their story ended for the day. And they weren't in the previews for tomorrow though Luke's parents were, so I suspect he might be back tomorrow.

My niece-by-marriage Corby just left with her children, two-year-old Jayden and three-month-old Riley, both absolutely adorable.

I accomplished a lot of work on Ashley Brown's chart today, and I think tomorrow I'll do layouts for the Men's Chorus charts.  I'm very sleepy at the moment, but I'm sure Jo and I will watch something tacky on tv and laugh about it.

Thanks for the time frame...I knew you'd said it would take a while...good ol NYMF!

I like that, Jeanne.

I believe that Graham Rowat and Kate Baldwin are in the Toronto production of WHITE CHRISTMAS.  M Barnum's boyfriend Brian d'Arcy James and Kerry O'Malley are in the Boston production.

The good news had to do with being able to write some of the overdue fundraiser checks - a good thing, as the final fundraiser check is having to go through unbelievable hoops to get processed - hoops that the first two checks didn't have to go through.  In fact, I have no idea when it WILL be processed, which I find reprehensible.  I do have a contract with these people and I have given them everything they've asked for all along, they have given me two previous checks, which means they were satisfied with what they were given, and I will do whatever is necessary to get them to do what's right - so I may need a pro bono lawyer at some point if they really are going to drag their feet much longer.

Jennifer, I think that is a little heartless.  George Osmond's funeral was held on November 9th.  On the 12th Marie was back competing.  Anyone who has lost a parent will tell you that three days after a funeral is not even the blink of an eye.  Also, today Marie's sixteen year old son entered rehab.  I doubt that his problem manifested itself overnight.

Good Evening!

Greeting from Orlando!

I'm currently sitting in the lobby/lounge area of the Crowne Plaza since the internet access does not seem to be accessible from my room.  Which is OK.  Once I checked in a little before 9:00, I ordered some dinner from room service, and also took a bit of time to check my paperwork, and watched some TV.  Alas, the hotel's TV system does not carry Bravo, so that's why I'm down in the lobby of the Crowne Plaza.  ;)  -However, I did somewhat like tonight's episode of "Private Practice".

I'm glad I decided to splurge on a car service to the airport since the bridge was PACKED.  Who knows how long it would have taken on the bus?  But I made it there an hour before my flight, checked in about five minutes... Then stood in one of the longest security lines/mazes I've ever seen.  It took about 25 minutes to get through, and then once I did get through, I heard the boarding announcement for my flight.  The plane was pretty full, but after a last minute shuffling of seats, I ended up with a nice aisle seat and an empty middle seat next to me.  The flight was OK, but it felt long.  Of course, once we pulled away from the gate, it was another 15-20 minutes before we were in the air.  However, we did end up coming in about 20 minutes early. Go figure.

See, that's exactly what I love about this site! I have been introduced to so many things here at HHW that have really enriched my life.

I finally have people to talk to and learn from about musical theatre, who have guided me to wonderful shows (not to mention great restaurants and movies and music!). HHW is a cultural cornocopia!

And it has been great to have been so warmly welcomed by a community---even more important to me now that we have left our community of activists in Marietta.

Editing is very often solitary work, and it's nice to know that there's always someone there to talk to, or to listen to. This is one of the most supportive groups of people ever, and I feel fortunate to have found it.

And I found HHW through the Grant Geissman gateway. When adding him to the credit list in a film I worked on (I was the editor and music supervisor) I looked up Grant to see hoe he was listed on imdb. I saw that he had contributed to TFNM DVD, a film I hadn't thought of in many years. I did a search on the film and landed here, where I was warmly welcomed! (And then bought 6 Kimmel books!)

Tom. you put this absolutely beautifully!! I often find myself thinking of one or the other of you during the day.

Thank you Bruce for bringing so many wonderful people (including YOU of course!) into my life!!!

Does anyone know if the current "publicity tour" that Donny and Marie Osmond are currently on was planned before their father died?  I mean, they were ALL on "Oprah" last week - and they did acknowledge that the great "Osmond Reunion" was planned in advance.  However, they were on Larry King tonight, as well as some other "news" programs.  I know that a new Osmonds World Tour just got announced, so... ???

-And I do have to admit I was a bit disgusted with the caption at the bottom of the screen during "Larry King".  It was something like: "Father's Death, Dancing with the Stars, and Family Secrets".  "Family Secrets"?!?!?!

Michael Lembeck's commentary was very thorough, sometimes too much so. I mean, did we need to know the quantities of every toy on the set? Still, he sounds like he loved directing the movie (he did the previous sequel as well) and enjoyed working with everyone. I wish the finished product had more entertainment value. The script let them down: just not witty enough and not enough inicident to make it memorable.

At least PROJECT RUNWAY didn't disappoint. I enjoyed getting to know all the designers a bit, and I had NO problem with the person who was sent home, and I agreed with the person who won. I did dislike one of the dresses from the "safe" group which I found very bland.

Well, it's almost time for me to head back up to my room and get a good night's sleep.  The van will be here tomorrow to pick me up at 8:00am, and then we head to the ship.  The ship doesn't sail until 5:00pm, but I'll be rehearsing with the cast members during the afternoon on board the ship.  Then the workshop takes place during the day on Friday.  -And, apparently, I'll still have some time to head into Nassau for a few hours after the workshop.  And that's all the "work" I have to do this weekend.  Saturday we dock at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, and then once we're back in Orlando on Sunday morning, I definitely plan to spend a few hours in the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.  -Oh, and I really want to see (finally) the new "Finding Nemo" show.

Hmmm, I fell asleep during Project Runway - but I think that was just because my brain was fried from a meeting earlier this evening.

You can count on Bravo to repeat it to death in the coming week.

Ira Levin (who once dated the mother of DR NOEL).

Yes - thank you to all who asked – the finger is feeling better, although I still can’t straighten it or curl it.

Exhausted from all these benefits.:
1)   The $400-a-plate NYMF Gala and Silent Auction, for which I played the opening number (Life of the Party) and then received the first award.
2)   The Such Good Friends cabaret, featuring SO many of the White Christmas stars mentioned here today - Shannon O’Bryan, Kate Baldwin, Kerry O’Malley, Graham Rowan, Jeffry Denman - performing the work of blacklisted writers.
3)   The Artistic New Directions annual last night, where I sang two songs and accompanied two others

I missed Donald’s netcasts on the previous site, so I searched for him and found myself here.

I can’t believe you remembered Ira Levin once dated my mother.  My mother barely remembers it, much as I coax her to say “He Vas My Boyfriend!”

I recommend Wordplay, which features a former DR singing the obvious Maltby/Shire song.

I saw the White Christmas run-through on Monday.  Brian D’Arcy James nearly stepped on my foot.  If you’re anywhere near the Wang…

If anyone wants to "follow along", here's the info page about my cruise:

3-Night Bahamian Cruise (http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/dcl/en_US/cruises/landing?name=3NightBahamianCruiseLandingPage)

And here the info on my ship:

Disney Wonder (http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/dcl/en_US/onboard/about/landing?name=AboutOurShipsLandingPage)

*The two ships in the Disney Cruise Line - the other one is the Disney Magic - are basically identical.  However, there are plans to add two more ships to their line - two bigger ships.

Vixmom, still waiting for your amazon review.

Yes I must get working on that.  Vixter took the book as soon as I was done and read it.  She brought it to school and was reading it there, many of her classmates asked her about it and expressed interest as well

She absolutely loved it and wants to know when the next book in the series will be ready!!!

DR DerBrucer - I spell my name - well, my parents spelled my name without an accent over the "e".  It's just "Jose", not "José".  You can save your keystrokes for DR François' cedille. ;)

How about Joçaix?

Happy Birthday/ Anniversary to HHW!

Great news for DR Jose!

Btw, DR Cillaliz, RE: dancing with the stars. I had no idea that all the dancers were married to each other! (jonathan to anna, and edyta to (is his name) alex. Crazy!  Btw, i disagree with your friend paul.  It was a full week later. I think last week would have not been right. But we're almost  at the end now.

Not a full week from the funeral. That was last Friday.

Must sleep. I just finished my power point for my presentation at the seminar in Des Moines tomorrow er today.  I just couldn't get my mind around doing this.  It's a seminar put on by my old office.  Anyway, it starts at 8:30 AM and Des Moines is a little over 3 hours from here, so I must try to get a few hours sleep before getting up.  I'm considering just arriving late. I don't speak until 2:00 PM...we'll see,.

GEORGE I WAS THINKING ABOUT YOU TODAY WHEN WE WERE AT THE VET WITH Sherlock.  He went for his DAPP booster & a check up.  He also has something on his elbow.  Our vet did what your first vet didn’t do, she aspirated some of it & put it under the microscope.   While not a full proof way to determine if there are cancerous cells, it is a guide for the urgency of treatment or not.  Nothing showed, so for now we are putting polysporin on it and giving it a week.

:o

~~~Vibes for DD Sherlock!!~~~
Topic of the Day:  I first discovered BK's recordings when he was at Varèse.  Before I even knew what a "producer" really did, I later realized that it was BK's recordings that I wanted to get.  I bought so many of those theater related recordings.  When I found out that he had started his own label, I naturally looked for it.  I purchased many of BK's recordings from that label and had even gotten several that were autographed!  After this site started, I didn't hear about it until several months later.  I think it was that first June that I first started posting here and really haven't stopped. :)
