When I posted Adrienne Stiefel's story, she was away and didn't see it until a couple of days ago - and she posted and I didn't see that until just now. I thought I'd share it because it touched me so much:

And now I feel compelled to throw a little love Bruce’s way...because the truth is, how many directors spend such time to show such love for their actors? How many continually provide work and opportunities to those he loyally believes in? I’ve worked with many directors over the years, and what I love about Bruce is the fact that he is a performer, so he gets it. He can put himself in your shoes as a performer and because of that, knows how to get the best out of you. He works with positive reinforcement, encouragement, and support. He is open to ideas and interpretation without ego. He listens and genuinely wants his artists to perform at their best, and under his guidance, they do. He has no interest in quashing what makes each person unique, and more than that...he gets why each person is unique, what makes them special, and shines a light on it. He knows me, my voice, my capabilities, my strengths, my weaknesses so well that I know he’s always going to throw me material that is perfect for me. I never get nervous that he’s going to send me something I can’t pull off, and every once in awhile I will listen to something he sends and at first listen, I think he’s missed the mark, but sure enough when I start running through it, turns out he was right. Sometimes he knows me better than myself. I hope to God that this pandemic ends soon and I can get the opportunity to work with him, in the true sense, again. Thank you, Bruce, for taking the time to show such gratitude. It means a lot, and is a testament to the kind of director, and person, you are.
