So, we spent a few hours in the garage dealing with some of Dad’s things. I packed up some gardening tools. But we threw away a lot of stuff.

I think Dad kept every seashell he ever picked up. There was an entire shelf unit of oyster shells, clam shells, butterfly shells, you name it. All in the trash now.

We also got rid of his old, but not old enough, door knob collection as well as the screen door handles. Oh, yeah, and used spark plugs.

My sister Annaliese came in from Lexington to help with cleaning the gutters, except the gutters didn’t need cleaning.

LOL.  I hope you had a nice visit.

:(  That is probably what will happen to my rock collection.

;)  Especially funny are the used spark plugs.

Finished Strangers on a Train.  Very tired but thinking about a walk.  Feels like I ate too much - I didn't but it feels like it - tummy shrinking I think although you wouldn't know it to look at me.  Hoping in the next week or two some poundage starts disappearing.

Dad had plenty of fossils. Annaliese took some of those.

This will be the first week of this year, I think, in which I have not finished a book. I just haven't been reading.

I did get more than halfway through Elena Ferrante's The Story of a New Name. But it's lengthy and I'm not going to finish it with only a few hours left in the day.

My air is still running but that's okay.

Tomorrow is our monthly BORED meeting.....we shall see what we shall see.

Of course I am sure there will be discussion of what's happening in the park since it gets dark so early.......not sure what type of lighting is available.....we may have to hire YOU KNOW WHO to take care of it.

Why not?  His wife is one of the stars......

When I posted Adrienne Stiefel's story, she was away and didn't see it until a couple of days ago - and she posted and I didn't see that until just now.  I thought I'd share it because it touched me so much:

Adrienne Stiefel
And now I feel compelled to throw a little love Bruce’s way...because the truth is, how many directors spend such time to show such love for their actors? How many continually provide work and opportunities to those he loyally believes in? I’ve worked with many directors over the years, and what I love about Bruce is the fact that he is a performer, so he gets it. He can put himself in your shoes as a performer and because of that, knows how to get the best out of you. He works with positive reinforcement, encouragement, and support. He is open to ideas and interpretation without ego. He listens and genuinely wants his artists to perform at their best, and under his guidance, they do. He has no interest in quashing what makes each person unique, and more than that...he gets why each person is unique, what makes them special, and shines a light on it. He knows me, my voice, my capabilities, my strengths, my weaknesses so well that I know he’s always going to throw me material that is perfect for me. I never get nervous that he’s going to send me something I can’t pull off, and every once in awhile I will listen to something he sends and at first listen, I think he’s missed the mark, but sure enough when I start running through it, turns out he was right. Sometimes he knows me better than myself. I hope to God that this pandemic ends soon and I can get the opportunity to work with him, in the true sense, again. Thank you, Bruce, for taking the time to show such gratitude. It means a lot, and is a testament to the kind of director, and person, you are.

Drinking some water and listening to Ormandy doing Bach - The Bach Album - which I had when it came out.  It's a favorite.

Was there ever a CD called Bach to the Future?  There should have been, if not.
