And finally... The Greek Yogurt Panna Cotta with Strawberries:

Today was the first day that the restaurant had started serving strawberries this season.  To "celebrate" that fact, they were also serving special champagne cocktails made with freshly muddled strawberries.

I got my second wind, worked on a return a little but got distracted by the innernet.

Back from the Gardenia and a list show.  I'm not going to write about it too much in the notes but suffice it to say it was a textbook in what not to do in an act - everything, in fact, I used as illustrations in my Cabaret Workshop.  There was one fantastic arrangement - a ragtime version of The Man I Love - I gave major props for that (John Boswell on piano) until I found out they'd "borrowed" the arrangement from Sharon McNight.

I have to relax for a few minutes before writing the notes, so they'll go up a little late this evening.

I spent the morning at BK's event, which was wonderful again.
Even though the entertainment bug has never bit me, I always enjoy listening to others in the business talk to an audience.   I always leave having learned something.

But the evening was spent at LACMA's late night art event, with maybe 3,000 other people. Music, video, food, art.
It's a toss up between people watching and the art sometimes.
Anyway this was for : Art of Two Germanys/Cold War Cultures   &   Franz West to Build a House You Start With the Roof, Work.

I should be in bed, though.  My sister, her boyfriend, her daughter (my niece) and I are all going to Portland, Oregon to see Wicked at the 1:00 matinée!  It'll take a couple of hours to drive down there and get something to eat before the show, so we have to leave much, much much (that's three muches) too early for a Sunday. :P

But we're going to see Wicked!! ;D
