No Charlie today. The inspector calls tomorrow.
Very theatrical references Dear Reader Laura.
"Where's Charley"and "An Inspector Calls".

"Where's Charley"and "An Inspector Calls".

And "Charley's Aunt," in which our DRJed is starring!

I just saw the film cast of Rent at Bryant Park.  They sang Seasons of Love and Take Me As I Am.  Seasons of Love didn't quite have the oomph that the cast recording does...but then, it was only the principals and no ensemble.

It was great to see and hear Idina Menzel live singing Take Me As I Am.  She and Tracie Thoms, the new Joanne did quite well.  I am super excited for the movie.

As a side note, both Taye Diggs and Adam Pascal looked hot.  Adam Pascal has lost some weight and looks fabulous.

I saw the cast on the Today show today.  I cannot wait for this movie!

I also thought Adam Pascal looked like he had lost some weight.  I hate to think that what i saw had 15 tv lbs added on.

Any other Big Brother fans anxious to know what tonight's twist is. I know I am.  Only 1 more hour!

Btw, DRs Ben and Stuart re: shopping in the teen section, I'm talking at department stores.  Here they sell all kinds of stuff.  I certainly wasn't suggesting that you buy teen outfits.  But I'm sure they sell regular clothes in that department as well.

I am frustrated.  I can get into my email but not my inbox.  And I am waiting for an important email. But I cannot see if it is waiting for me. :(

Btw, I cannot believe TAR was here just this past Saturday.  I wish I had been able to see the teams or help someone. I would be so good at that!

I'm really excited to find out what the twist is and what we will be voting on.  If it's good, I'm in.  If it's crap, I'm writing an ugly e-mail to somebody.

This has been the LONGEST week...and watching the live feeds has been SO boring.

I sure hope the "outcasts" win HOH tonight (Howie or Janelle or Rachel only, though).  The house needs some sparks.

In the mail today:

Title card to "El Cid"

One-sheet for "Hannah and Her Sisters," signed by 11 cast members, including Mia, Dianne, Michael, Barbara, Woody, and Max.  No Maureen O'Sullivan or Lloyd Nolan, regrettably.  But..it's my favorite Woody Allen film and getting this item with original signatures is nearly "nirvana."

Here is the sketch of one of the Dogpatch wives for the "society" party (the dress they also wear for Put 'Em Back The Way They Wuz) - this seems to have been designed for Dee Dee Wood, who recreated Michael Kidd's choreography for the film.  She would then marry her dancing compatriot, Marc Breaux and together they would choreograph Mary Poppins and other stuff.

Good Evening!

Back from the Stop'n'Shop.  At first, there was nothing I really wanted to buy, but after wandering the aisles, I ended up with four bags worth of stuff.  Of course, as soon as I got back to the room, I realized that there were two things I forgot... Ah, well...

Great costume plates, BK.  I love the colors.  Just the two of them?

Yes, the two sketches, which are now at the framers, along with an original Modesty Blaise strip from 1964 by Jim Holdaway - from one of the first Blaise newspaper strips.

Cincinnati!!!  I'll organize a HHW gathering around your visit, DR Cillaliz.

It won't be until Spring 2008, so don't start planning yet!

I hope not, I have a reception at the Chinese Garden and dinner out with friends. If it's good I want to vote, but I won't know what it is until I get back

What record label is running scared? Only weeks after the launch of Bruce Kimmel's new record label and website; the record label has redesigned their amateurishly designed website so that it looks more professional. Despite the new makeover a backsteet cat is still a backstreet cat.

Even I must admit that the timing was most amusing.  I predicted just such an occurrance to several friends the day we went live.

Well the twist has been revealed.

I won't say what it is for those on the West Coast.

But to vote you can go to cbs.com to vote (it's not opening for me, i guess a lot of people are voting).

I am not sure how long the voting is open. That is why I logged on (it got cut off on tv).

My, what entertaining posts today!  As Ann will confirm, I'm thoroughly oblivious to fashion, counting on her to keep me from looking too ridiculous.

And "Charley's Aunt," in which our DRJed is starring!

Along with DR TCB!  He may not be playing my father, but we will be sharing the stage again in this production.

Good news DR Jed.  I knew the TV star credits would eventually land him a role.

And it looks like the bonus tracks that were offered when one purchased directly from the site are no longer offered.  At least, a couple of CDs that I looked up didn't show them in the track listings. :-\

I suspect he will waive his fee as an act of charity. I hope he still remembers those who were kind when he was on the lower rungs.
