Back from Red Bank, New Jersey, where I saw dear friend Maureen Silliman's triumphant performance as the matriarch Amanda in THE GLASS MENAGERIE at Two River Theater Co.

Then stopped by the tax office to finish a few returns that I had started.

Looks like I'll be home in Fresno most of the week.

Well, I think I'm gonna go ahead and head to bed.  I'm actually off this week, but I really want and need to take care of some projects around the apartment.  In short, I'm gettin' sick of looking at all of my "boxes-o-stuff".  So, hopefully, some earlier mornings for me this week will help me accomplish what I want/need to accomplish - and since I already seem to be in a "morning person cycle" lately, that's a good thing.

Goodnight.

TORCHWOOD had a few moments of barechested Jack on Ianto action last night....I guess some offices are less dull than others.

I haven't watched this yet.  It'll be next. :D Today, I had absolutely no plans, but I did do a few things.  When I woke up, I watched the last six (count 'em, SIX) episodes of "The New Adventures of Old Christine" and a few other things on my DVR, fed my cat, took a shower, got dressed and went to Subway for lunch (love their $5 for ANY 12-inch sub special!).

When I was at Subway, my friend Margo called, asking if I had gone to Costco to see if they had the new mint 3 Musketeers bars (earlier this week, I said that I would look the next time I went).  Since I had no plans, I went to Costco and it turns out that they don't have them.  I got her a few other things and went to her house to deliver them and to visit for a while.

I got home about an hour and a half ago and I've just watched the season finale of "Kyle XY."  Now, I'm about to watch yesterday's "Torchwood." :)

DR George, enjoy your day of relaxation and the knowledge you don’t have to shave anywhere you don’t feel like it.

Thanks!  I have. ;)

I spent most of yesterday dealing with a brouhaha at the review site, where one of the more self-important reviewers decided that two of my reviews (out of probably 200 at this point) didn't meet his criteria, despite the fact that not one reader, nor any of the editors who approve the reviews, had complained.  He really went ballistic when I had the audacity to answer his complaints in the public reviewers' forum where he had posted them, and also for challenging an out and out factual error he had posted (not to mention his spelling errors, but that was just for fun on my part  ;D).

This guy, who writes the most bloated, ridiculously lengthy reviews I have ever read, and who prides himself on being part of some society of critics that only allows membership based on number of words per review, deserves to be taken down a peg or two, so I am thinking of developing a website entitled:  (Insert Critic's Name Here)IsTheMostBloatedGasbagofallTime.com.  I think that has a certain ring to it, don't y'all?

Give 'em hell, Harry!

;D

I have been posting some of my job frustration as of late. I super love the kids that I work with and the work that I get to do. There are however a few folks who have made it a very stressful and frustrating environment. Unfortunately these folks are in supervisory positions and I am not alone in being VERY frustrated. This has been building for several months but it's gotten to the point where I and some of my co-workers are now considering our options- which sucks because I love my job. But I also can't come home with a ball of stress and anger in my stomach every day. I'm aware that if that continues, I will no longer be of any help to my kids.

I hear what you are saying...

I have that book on my reading list for summer

They usually are!

Job-wise, hang in there, DR TPunk.  You're doing a lot of good, it sounds.  I often say that I love my job and loathe the environment in which I have to do it.

I am in the same boat... I love my job but some of the people have made it down right horrid

Don't you hate it when that happens??

I also stopped by Carnegie Hall to pick up my tickets for Nathan Gunn's upcoming recital, and I went ahead and treated myself to a ticket to Bryn Terfel's recital at the end of the month too.  :)

When I first saw this (before I read what you'd posted), I thought that it was a picture of Andy Richter! ::)

They do look alike a little, don't they?
