I had an interesting morning. The young pup banker who I thought was so rude yesterday called me to tell me they are processing a loan and I need to do a financial statement.  I told him I was offended by the way he treated me yesterday, that I went in asking about a small business loan, all he could tell me is I had to do a home equity loan.  He didn't ask any questions relevant to a business loan and really offended me.   So, I went to another bank. They took me seriously, asked the appropriate questions and have already told me I get the loan.

He started asking the terms whether it was secured/unsecured. I told him it was none of his business, that it isn't a home equity loan and that it wasn't my place to teach him how to do his job, but that my business accounts would now be going to the other bank.

He apologized but kept saying he did everything he could to help me.  I told him he didn't, that he didn't treat me as a business person and that I was offended. When he asked what they could do I said "Nothing". you have lost my business.

God that felt good.
GOOD FOR YOU!!!

Special greeting to Jason.  (f Jose reads this)

Well, I believe DR Jason will be seeing Grey Gardens tomorrow night, so I shall pass on your greetings then.

In the case of A Chorus Line, that's probably not too far off the mark!

Well, there are no towels in the pit of the Schoenfeld Theatre.

Thank you DR Jose.  I know "Run For The Roses" is significant to DR Jason.  Hugs from your Oz "family"

Elmore do the office catalogues have websites?  Sending Cilla those instead of the catalogues themselves will be faster.  I think by the time they arrived Cilla will be done shopping. ;D

I love Kay Starr's "do." I wonder if it was inspired by Sister Bertrille?

But, by your own admission, neither are you!

Good banking, DR CILLA LIZ.

Lovely weather today the predicted storms stayed well north of me.

Is the Frances Farmer Biography on the SON OF FURY disk as was rumored?  DR JMK and I both have credits on said bio.

Might explain why Ms Starr kept Changing Partners.

Kaye Starr of course was fortunate enough to be able to blame everything on a Wheel of Fortune and not on DR Jose.

I assume you're talking about the other immigration lawyer...the building is jam packed with lawyers.  I'm sure we will.  Immigration is one of those areas of the law where lawyers tend to see themselves as us against the goverment.  Something, I'm quite familiar with.  I'm glad there will be someone to bounce ideas off of and it was clear from the look on his face that he was too

Yes I was & that is great you can help each other instead of letting competition get in the way.  Vibes you need to send the other lawyer your overflow.

Congrats on the business loan, & the satisfaction of telling off the other loan officer.

I just received this shocking e-mail "from" Bank of America.  I had to share it with you - I took it very seriously because of its excellent use of grammar.

Dear Customer,  bruce.

At least you can understand what the letter is saying! ;D

That's quite a distinct possibility.

TOD: May 14th, 14 years ago, I married the love of my life, accompanied by the melodious sounds of a steel drum band in the beautiful garden of my assistant editor and his partner. The band brought suitcases of percussion instruments so everyone could play along!

That, so far, has been the happiest day of my life.

I love this story, just so sweet & beautiful.

Tonight a neighbor stopped by to invite me to a "purse party"  There will be 100s of purses by a local artist that you can buy or not. It sounds like fun.

The neighbor is  a principal at a middle school here. She said she has all kinds of people she could refer to me and that we really need an immigration lawyer here.   Cool!

Great networking possibilities DR Cillaliz.  Those "party plans" may come in useful!

One of my favourite Dame Edna stories was that Barry H. when in London years ago organised a party for the freeloaders.  He didn't tell them it was Tupperware party.

I guess my May story, other than graduating from high school, college and law school, would be a trip I took with my mom, dad and Aunt to Alaska and then took a crusie with my parents.

I liked Interlude when it was a Ross Hunter movie in 1958 with June Allyson and Curt Jurgens and Frances Bergen.

This is a goofy "Sports analysis" on DWS but it's pretty funny.
