Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a slow day at the notes corral, and now it is time for you to post until the slow cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: EXULTANT!
-
I wonder if he is still checking?
-
So, yesterday, I discovered something about my car fob. There's an actual key! I should've known this and found that one is inside the fob...which makes perfect sense:
-
When I got home from my sister's last night, I discovered something else that I couldn't have known about until it was dark, unless I'd read it in one of the manuals, which I haven't started reading yet.
-
It turns out that there are little lights in both side view mirrors that shine on the door handles/locks so that you can see them in the dark! That's pretty cool, too.

Well, at least you found it in the first couple of days.
-
I really need to go to sleep, but I am afraid he will post it and someone else will buy it before me.
-
Tom, maybe he'll let you pay for it privately and he'll hold it for you.

Hopefully!

BK, if you find it, please don’t post it until I connect up with you. Maybe around noon?
-
Good night, George.

Good night, Tom.

So, today is the day that we're celebrating my mom's 80th birthday. People are coming over to her house around 1:00. There's going to be a potluck and a good time will be had by all. I forgot that that was today and signed up for ushering (this time it WILL be happening), but I'll only be about an hour late, if even that. My scheduled call time is 10:30 and it's scheduled to go to 2:00. People will stay a long time at my mom's, so I won't miss much.
-
And now, I need to go to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
I won't even be able to look for the CD until noon - no worries - if I have it, it's yours.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Annabelle, whose nom du jour is Contrary Mary, has been sitting with me at the computer while the tip of her tail floats in my coffee. She been quite quixotic this morning, not eating, jumping from pillar to post, and even while hanging close with a wet tail she's stand-offish. Usually, she's needy, affectionate, playful. Not today.
-
At 10:00 last night, just about an hour after I turned off the lights and went to bed, there was a flourish of sirens and three fire trucks pulled up in front of our building. The noise sent Stella and Thatch rnning from my bed to hide while I watched the patterns on the ceiling madfe by the trucks' flashing lights.
-
After a few minutes, I thought this might be something serious, so I got out of bed, went to the ewindow and looked out. There were firemen milling about the trucks, and a small crowd was gathering. I couldn't tell if they were at my building or 200 West 82nd Street next to ours. I kept waitign for poundign on my door telliong me to dress and evacuate. Then I had t think, if there's a fire, do I dress and leave the cats or stay with them. I decided I would stay with them and went back to bed. Within five minutes, the trucks left and that was that.
-
Stella and Thatch did not come out from hiding until around 1:00a.m. I slept very well last nigfht after that.
-
Yesterday morning, when I stopped at the mail boxes, all the carton that had been sittign there on Thursday had been opened and emptied, I made a comment to no one about what slob just left their cartopns there when I looked at the boxes and saw they were addressed to different people in the building. So, we clearly haver a thief in the building.
-
My neighbor Judy thinks it's the bitch wife of the super who was fired and fears she will create more trouble before she goes at the end of the month. I hear she's quite angry over the eviction.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Hope Sherlock Annabelle and Thatch can find the thief.
-
Good morning, all.
-
At last night’s show, now that Covid quarantines and emergency appendectomies are supposedly behind us, the entire original cast was together for the first time since the opening weekend.
Tonight: the end of the run, our eviction from the loft, and a cast par-tay in the black box theater next door.

DR Elmore, that's a horrible situation with people's packages. Any pattern of in-house thievery is disheartening, to say the least.
EDIT: Might the tenants point out to management that there's a new thing out called security cameras?

Good morning!
-
Congrats on the new car, DR George! Now that you're no longer driving your 24-year-old car I wonder if I now have the oldest car in the group? Mine is a 2001. I bought it in November 2000.
-
TCB--you're going to love The Stephen Sondheim Album! My favorite track is the Norm Lewis one: "With So Little TO Be Sure Of/Who Could be Blue?" All the songs are great!
-
ARSON! ! !
Yes, the fire was in our basement last night. It wasn't bad since the fire crew was gone so quickly, but it was definitely set and the basement and halls smell of smoke.
-
SATURDAY.
The car place called - they added about half a gallon of coolant and they can't find anything wrong with the car.....they are going to drive it around for awhile with the AC on....
We shall see.
If it is not too expensive, I may be able to buy another PERK.
-
I added the story to the website and Facebook pages about the YOUTH THEEDER WORKSHOP......
It's a struggle only because I want to spell everyone's name correctly, and there are some wacky names out there: I think the winners this year are Jewlee and Leil.
-
Hmmmm.....scary internet.....I shall have to think.
-
DR ChasSmith, the management is aware of all that's going on. Someone scribbled something - I do not know what - on one tenant's door and someone left a pile of dog wasrte on the doormat of apartment 1D. I have not yet received my latest Netflix shipment, which I thought would arrive on Thursday. I suspect they've been stolen as well.
-
Happy Birthday to the mom of DR GEORGE.
-
Congrats to DR CHAS SMITH on surviving the run.
I am still looking for four bros.....hopefully they will turn up this week.
DR JANE - I am not expecting anything close to an apology from Big Woman for anything.....but I am expecting more complaints and more absences.....perhaps she will quit.....
-
When I went down for the mail this morning, there were signs posted inside and outside the elevator about the thefts, vandalism, and fire with the phone number for the local precinct.
All I can add about last night's arson is that we are lucky the old super is gone and the basement is really cleaned up.
-
That’s a bizarre and shocking chain of events, DR Elmore.
You’re all going to be sleeping with one eye open for the rest of the month!

At least the management is aware of the mess, but if the building goes up in flames, I may be going with it. I will not leave the cats behind, and trying to evacuate while struggling with a walker and trying to get three cats into their carriers while they're in a panic is truly terrifying.
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe three hours of sleep.
-
Yesterday morning, when I stopped at the mail boxes, all the carton that had been sittign there on Thursday had been opened and emptied, I made a comment to no one about what slob just left their cartopns there when I looked at the boxes and saw they were addressed to different people in the building. So, we clearly haver a thief in the building.
Oh, my goodness! :o That's terrible!

Agreed! :-\
-
Happy Birthday to the mom of DR GEORGE.
Thanks, Jrand!
-
And now, I'm off to usher! ;D
-
We are having a nice sunny day...temp is 92, but low humidity, so it feels rather nice.
I have started using my new dehumidifier and it is running smoothly and QUIETLY, which was an issue with the old one.
-
Am having Father's Day lunch with my cousin Butch, his fiancee Sharon and his son Benjamin tomorrow at the Pine Ridge Country Club.
Last time I saw Butch and Sharon was on Mother's Day, also at the club.
Much has happened with me since then, so I shall be regaling them with -- wait for it -- my MEDICAL news/results, etc.
I vividly remember as a kid and young adult sitting with older folks and hearing them tell their tales of doctor visits and test results and wondering why in hell they thought I would care.
Ah, youth!! Where has it gone?
-
I need to do some laundry.
-
I need to do some straightening up.
-
I need to vacuum and mop.
-
Oof! I need a nap first!
-
No time for a nap. I need to get cracking~!

DR RON PULLIAM congrats on the new humidifier. I hope you enjoy it as much as whoever got your original one.
-
I forgot I found a brother......so I put some bait out for two more. We shall see if either or both of them get caught in the trap.
-
Back from a Hugo's omelet and doing stuff that needed doing. TCB, check your private messages.

Done, and done!
-
We’ve made it to San Angelo. About 3.5 hours from home.
-
DR Ron, congrats on the delivery of your humidifier. Vibes it makes a big difference and was worth the wait.

DR George I forgot to wish your mother a happy 80th birthday. Have fun celebrating on Saturday.
Thanks, Jane! I'll let her know that a stranger from Vancouver wished her a happy birthday! ;)
Is there a story behind this?
None whatsoever. :) Just that my mom has never met Jane, nor have I really talked to her about the people from here that I've met.
;D I didn't realize she was unaware of us.
-
I remember when DR Vixmom gave us a story of how we met, in case the young Vixter asked when we were in NY on our walking tour.
-
So, yesterday, I discovered something about my car fob. There's an actual key! I should've known this and found that one is inside the fob...which makes perfect sense:
I can't believe they didn't show you where the key is hidden. You will need that if the battery on the fob dies.

LOL about the "new" thing. We had issues here and needed cameras installed. Thing is, we once had cameras but someone decided they were a waste of money and shut them off.

LOL, I kind of figured that. Vibes she quits.

Almost there.
-
Hello, friends.
-
I am now
certifiable completely caught up.
-
After a visit by my carrier, Internet seems to be back up and running.
-
Oy!
-
When Entertainment Weekly went caput, the publisher subbed out People. The latest issue has just arrived, and I am breathless to read the cover story all about the Jonas Brothers. 8)
-
DR George, thrilled to read (and see) about your new car - congratulations!
So sorry, DR Jrand71, to hear about yours. And yours, too, DR vixmom. :P
-
~~~CONTINUED SAFE TRAVEL VIBES~~~ for DR John G. Nice pics! And condolences about the San Antonio Symphony.
-
Very sorry to hear the news about the recording project, DR elmore3003. And the thefts. Glad the basement fire was so quickly contained.
-
Congratulations to DR Ginny on the new addition to your family!!!!
-
:)
-
Watching a movie. We have had some action today - three small perks - hasn't changed the percentage yet but has moved us to 7100 buck.
Greetings from…... oh, you know.
-
But it’s for the last time! (For now.)
-
Have a fun final show!
-
HA!
They could find nothing wrong with my car - so I was charged nothing.... They just added about a 1/2 gallon of fluid.....slow leak in the radiator that they can't fix.
SO - I went and bought another small perk!
-
Yes, thanks Jrand - you'll love those sheets of music. We've gone up over 150 bucks and yet the percentage hasn't changed - which is just odd. Not sure how that can be exactly.
-
I have a brother who is nipping at the bait. The other will be out of town during a performance, so he said No....sorry.
I also have a young lady who wants to play a brother - and that's fine with me. She is very talented and I think will certainly be an asset.
DR JANE - I need her voice in the ensemble, so I will just grin and bear it......but I'm sure she will have tales about how awful I am.
-
Down to TWO - and only one if I hook the first one.
Time to get back to reality.
It only reached 101 today. But 106 is in store for next week.
Another positive vote for Come From Away.
It was a lazy kind of day, and yet much was accomplished.
Including a nap.
And yet, here I am; ready for bed.
Surprised myself.
I pushed and pushed and made things happen.
It wasn't easy with my hip issues, but that is getting better, too.
And so it goes...
DR George, thrilled to read (and see) about your new car - congratulations!
Thanks, Singdaw!
I'm home.
The ushering this morning went quite well.
-
Got a Philly cheese from some jernt called Juicy's. It arrived and it was the worst thing ever. I ate it because it cost fifteen bucks - stale bread, overcooked meat that seemed like it had been sitting around for hours, melted cheese that seemed like it had been sitting around for hours - in fact, the entire sandwich felt like it had been made at five o'clock and delivered at eight. Turns out it's one of those ghost kitchens in another restaurant called Milan's Pizza. I called them and told the owner of Milan's that they're gonna get a bad rep from Juicy's. Of course, there's no Yelp page for obvious reasons - but, there is now, thanks to me and my one-star review. I ordered through Uber Eats - I lodged a complaint and they say they'll get back to you but I doubt they will. DoorDash, you can get someone on the phone. Not with Uber Eats.
-
It was the end of the season festival showcase for a local dance school.
-
I was enjoyable in a disinterested usher kind of way.
-
When that was over, I went to my mom's.
-
A little more than a dozen people were there, and people were still eating, do I just dug right in.
-
I ate too much, but I showed my new car to several people. ;)
-
Everyone was suitably impressed...mainly that it was a new car.
-
We hung around at my mom's for a few hours, then I went to my sister's and chatted a bit with my cousin John and his wife Angel who are staying at my sister's
-
They're leaving in the morning to go back to their home in Oregon, so it was nice to say goodbye.
-
And then I cam home and NEED to nap!
-
I just can't keep my eyes open, so I won't try. 8)
-
It was a fine sold-out closing night, and a fun li’l cast par-tay was had. It's a good group and I'd be happy to return sometime.
-
DR Jrand71, that's astounding that they charged you nothing. That's a mechanic you want to keep. I would also keep a bottle of the appropriate coolant with me from now on, or at least have some at home, since they couldn't actually fix the leak.
I went through something similar, and they finally found it. There's a very weird, almost deformed looking pipe that was corroded and leaking. It was a challenge to replace, so they had to charge me. But my mechanic has got to be one of the most honest anywhere, and they are quick to give a break when the circumstances warrant it.
-
Especially for the avoirdupois she carts around.
I think I hear you saying she leaves a bit of a carbon footprint on our friend Planet Earth.
-
Like you, Larry, I would never be able to get these brats into their carriers. The good news is I have sprinklers throughout the condo. Not that I ever want them to go off!!
-
I forgot I found a brother......so I put some bait out for two more. We shall see if either or both of them get caught in the trap.
Jrand, now that George has his new car, he can pick me up, and we will drive out and do your show. I know I am too old to be a brother, but when I dye my hair and slap on the morticians wax, I can pass for 65.
-
I am waiting for that Prevagen I am taking to kick in. I was taking it before the pandemic and it seemed to be working. Then suddenly you couldn’t find it anywhere, unless you wanted to pay three times the price from Amazon.
So far, it has only been two weeks, but I think
What was I talking about?
Well, BK’s living room is empty, and we have made it to page six, so goodnight.
Not doing well right now.
Hoping it doesn't get worse.
