Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a pall and were appalling, and now it is time for you to post until the appalling cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: LOQUACIOUS!
-
To go with our loquats.
-
Or no quats.
-
Can't wait for the Tammy Grimes and Mein Freund Bunbury CDs!

Good morning, all!
-
Well, this IRS mess is working my last nerve. I am up to my neck in debt that the refund would have paid off, I have no work so I'm screwed on income, and since I do not know if or when I will see that damned IRS refund, I can't even borrow the money and give a repayment date. It's working my last nerve.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Today I need to proofread the copied "She Wore A Yellow Ribbon" insert while I fret over my financial mess.
-
CONGRATULATIONS to DR George on being in demand.
-
Apparently, your reputation precedes you. :)
-
.
-
Who decides these things?
-
We can get to page two, can't we?
-
CAN'T WE?
-
Perhaps.
-
It has been known to happen.
-
PAGE TWO
-
Good morning, all.
-
Where are the bloody miracles?? Let's have 'em.
-
I guess one miracle is that we got through Act 2 of Drowsy last night, and then all of Act 1. But boy, does it need to shape up.
One challenge is that they double-cast most of the principal roles (except for Man in Chair), and both casts are quite fine, but the tech week rehearsal time doesn't increase accordingly and they're feeling the pinch.
-
Oh, and finally I can report that "The Bride's Lament" is indeed altered -- at least insofar as MONKEY being changed to BUNNY. I do not yet know how much more monkeying around with it might have been done.
-
Is it this kind of a day already?
-
~~~STAMINA & SURVIVAL VIBES~~~ for DR ChasSmith!
-
Is it this kind of a day already?
:)
-
Congratulations, George, on the new stage manager job!
-
.
Could National Bucket List Day be the day to make up your bucket list, or the day to plan in doing something that's on your bucket list?
-
Or maybe either one.
-
More rehearsal vibes for Chas!
Congrats to DR GEORGE Stage Manager extraordinaire.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I think today will be a scrambled egg omelet day.....
-
Had a long stretch of insomnia last night.
-
I don't think the high quats or loquats caused it.
-
But I read two poems and that did the trick.
-
High art and the inducement of sleep. Could be a dissertation topic.
-
I'd be too tired to write it.
-
Congratulations, George, on the stage managing job.
-
Nice piece of art, Singdaw.
-
It didn't put me to sleep.
-
Three!
-
I'd be too tired to write it.
LOL!
-
I think today will be a scrambled egg omelet day.....
That sounds good - and maybe healthy too.
-
I got Connectios today. Vixmom. But they made me groan.
-
And there's no groaning at HHW.
-
Agnes De Mille vibes for JRand.
-
I hate spellcheck.
-
LOL DR JOHNG so far so good.
-
I am sorry to hear from DR CHAS SMITH that the monkey is now a bunny.....and of course I loved the mix up of "Western People Funny" or whatever it was called.
But I guess it's gone.
DR CHAS SMITH are you doing your show with an intermission?
-
As far as I know, they're doing it without an intermission. Hopefully we'll get through the whole show tonight and we shall see what we shall see.
-
DR Jrand73, it seems like there's ambiguity surrounding the permissions or advisements re what to include or alter in the show.
Supposedly MTI now suggests or comes right out and tells theeders (or maybe just schools?) - in their contract - to omit the entire "Nightingale" sequence, and Man in Chair has supposedly been changed to Person in Chair. But there's no hint of these on MTI's website. "My little monkey" is apparently "my little bunny" now, and I'm sure that very few groups would use the line "I'm singing a song an old Negro taught me" unmodified. I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting or am unaware of.
I need to get hold of one of the vocal books and have a look at the PC score. I'll try to do that tonight.
DR George, congratulations on your offer to be a stage manager at Dukesbay and that the dates work so you can have a chance to see Sweeney Todd.
George do you think there is a possibility that you might get to work with Sharry again?
George did you get to play with Sharry's wonderful dogs?
Could National Bucket List Day be the day to make up your bucket list, or the day to plan in doing something that's on your bucket list?
I was about to ask the same question ;D
Had a long stretch of insomnia last night.
So did I and now I am tired.
I need to find the energy to do all that I need to accomplish.
Sorry I wasn't able to capture it at the exact moment, but Freddie reached a posting millstone!
I did book another appointment to the dermatologist office on Friday to deal with another internal stitch that has not stayed internal.
-
I need to find the energy to do all that I need to accomplish.
Energy vibes for Jane!
-
Internal stitches can take a couple of weeks to several months to disolve. Obviously I did not get lucky with this since it has now been five weeks since they were put in.
From Joseph Conrad’s Victory:
The Zangiacomo band was not making music; it was simply murdering silence with a vulgar, ferocious energy.
My computer has gone completely CRAZY today.
If you are considering a new computer I completely oppose that you buy an HP.
-
I spent the morning weeding at Morgan’s Wonderland, an inclusive theme park for people, especially kids, with all sorts of needs. The place is only three miles from my house, but I had never been there.
-
I'm up, I'm up - ten hours of sleep. Guess I really needed it.
-
I then went to church for the afternoon food pantry work.
-
Then I came home and did some weeding in my own yard.
-
I’m exhausted.
-
All you need is a small saw.
For more crafting tips...
This is the date in 1985 that Sunday in the Park with George won the Pulitzer! I almost forgot. Coincidentally, it was a Wednesday.
-
That's such a great story.
-
With our personal connection.
-
Haven't seen DR Jeanne here in a while. Hope she's OK.
-
Since I don't think I'll ever be able to afford to live in a setting that isn't on top of other people, I've decided I many have to invest in a pair of noise-cancelling headphones.
-
While cursing the clods that don't consider anyone but themselves regarding noise pollution.
-
I was lovely here today, so I wanted to open the slider to the outside.
-
But the occupant of a neighboring apartment decided that we should all share in their TWO HOUR phone conversation.
-
So I had to slam the slider shut.
-
Grrrr.
-
I am a grumpy old man.
Get off my lawn.
I want to star in a dream ballet.
Only I can't dance.
Or won't.
"Chiang Kai-shek and his cousin, Canceled Check."
This is what passes for humor in Mask of the Dragon, a bad noir with Lyle Talbot and "Mr. Moto."
What about Bounced Check?
Show me a bad noir and I'll show you a béte noire.
It is almost popcorn time.
Has anyone here ever experienced a steam shower?
-
All the high-end bathrooms on the house hunter shows seem to have them.
I don't know from a steam shower.
-
Is it like a pressure cooker for humans?
-
Not even figs.
Raisins.
We are on our way.
On a lark.
I feel a song coming on.
THE DREADED PAGE SEVEN
More indictments in Arizona. Yes!
-
I do not care for page seven.
-
Went to Gelson's and got three chicken egg rolls and a half rack of ribs. The good news was I got five bucks off as a rewards member.
-
Which came first, the chicken or the eggroll?
-
This week is really rolling along.
-
Perhaps not merrily.
-
But rolling along, nonetheless.
"Nonetheless" is one word.
So my excursion to NYC and back was successful
Vixdad had 5o go to work today so we rode together to Penn and then took the subway together to 14th street where we parted ways
-
He headed to Brooklyn and I took the shuttle over to Union Square and caught the 6 uptown
-
When I came up at Lexington I was pleased to discover I was directly across the street from my destination.
-
The closing went smoothly and then I did the whole trip again in reverse.
-
When I got back to LI I took the car and headed into the office for the rest of my day.
And it never rained!!
-
Instead we had some glorious sunshine for a while.
-
Of course I spent most of my city trip underground so….
I am sorry they are removin* the Nightingale sequence from Drowsy, the audience was so confused and we were so amused when the explanation came.
John it seems you are working harder than ever since retiring!
How wonderful of you to provide that service to the amusement park.
From the library today, I got two TV series, 21 Beacon Street with Dennis Morgan (it's a precursor to Mission Impossible) and World of Giants, which has Miss Allison Hayes as a guest star in one episode.
