The rain never returned though they said it would. Maybe we're done with it for a few days.

I finished the LIL' BUSH episodes and the bonus feature with about 25 minutes to spare. However, I didn't get to view much of anything since I had updated the firmware in my Samsung Blu-ray player, and was using the time to get it set-up properly (when one updates the firmware, it resets the machine to its default settings.)

To make sure things were working properly, I put in THE SIXTH SENSE Blu-ray and watched about 10 minutes of it.

Tonight's UGLY BETTY was entertaining, but I had figured out who pushed Christina almost as soon as it happened, so none of the red herrings they had during the show's first 45 minutes fooled me at all. (I still enjoyed Betty's playing detective.)

I was, however, surprised about the parentage of Daniel, Jr.

Enjoyed GREY'S ANATOMY very much, but if I hadn't seen Daniel J. Travanti's name in the credits, I never would have recognized him. And I really felt for Izzie at the end of the show.

And I thoroughly enjoyed the new LIFE ON MARS. Jason O'Mara gave a very tender, heartfelt performance, and the cast (apart from Lisa Bonet whom I've never cared for) was very good. I'm going to enjoy this one as long as it lasts. I'll be looking at the overnight ratings closely.

I didn't realize it was Daniel J Travanti until he sort of cocked his head and looked over at the camera.  It was just a glimpse that rang a bell with me. I was quite surprised it was him.

As I mentioned before I really enjoyed it, too. Much more than I thought I would. So much for getting work done on Thursday nights!

Thanks for the link, Jose. I usually read about reality shows here, but I don't remember the Tabatha one.

Time for me to get back to Leopold and Loeb.  This book is the best written of the Land L books I've read. I'm enjoying it

Aww...

I finally remembered that had uploaded a TON of pics to the Kodak Picture Gallery site.  -I had been wondering what happened to all of my pics to Australia, and, lo and behold, there they were!  So, here's a little trip down memory lane...

From my visit to Australia, well, Melbourne, in particular.

Yes, because the night is so crowded with other shows that I record, I had to watch these three in real time. I was lucky that I had finished my work viewing before UGLY BETTY started.

Hmmm I'm liking this Life on Mars.

I'm looking forward to watching it...in another 40 minutes. :)

Today, I went to Borders and with my 30% off Borders Rewards coupon, I bought a DVD...U-Carmen.  I saw it on IFC a few months ago and thought that it was wonderful.  It's Bizet's "Carmen" set in South Africa.  It was translated and it's sung in the Xhosa language, but the music is all Bizet.  I highly recommend it. :D

Started watching my first (of many, I hope) Bollywood movies of the long weekend. Tonight was COMMANDO (1988) starring 1980s action stars Mithun Chakravarty and Hemant Birje as two army guys battling terrorists and ninjas (?!).

Nice belated Australia trip photos!

Thanks DR MBarnum and DR George - ...Although, I'm pretty sure I posted those pics after I originally took them in 2003. Or maybe they just got "shared" since I think we were still on the "brown board" then (which did not have image posting available).
