Has anyone seen this hysterical commercial: it's about a cookie bar that is dipped in chocolate and tastes like an oreo. It is set in an office, and they break out into song and dance -- badly. It is wonderfully bad.

Waiting to find out when to be on my way to the editing room.  Meantime, I've started watching one of my favorite noirs, the recently released I Wake Up Screaming.

Oh...I never thought it would come to this -- no Bette Midler?

Well....she's gonna be headlining in heaven...so you might set your sights a little lower....

;D

Do you mean to tell me that Heaven is going to turn out to be the Continental Baths in New York?

"Heaven" to my knowledge is a very gay dance club at Charing Cross London.  Pet Shops Boys anyone?

My local PBS channel is showing the 30th Anniversary show of A Prairie Home Companion.  I think I've seen this before, but it's just the sort of thing I'm in the mood for.  And I am eating a big bowl of frozen red grapes.

That is all.

I loved Heaven, the dance club, the first time I went to London.  Of course, i was only 29 at the time.

The one time I went to London, I was with my sister and my niece.  I couldn't go anywhere by myself. :P

I just half-watched The Closer.  I was on the phone with my friend whose father is ill and the show was on in the background.  I will officially watch it when it replays tonight at 11.  However I feel rather foolish for only now realizing that one of the stars, Corey Reynolds, was an original cast member of Hairspray- I only saw him twice onstage and for the whole first season of the show.  How am I only just now realizing he is the same person!?

Because we booked our trip to Cali, I now have just 3 short weeks to get into bathing suit shape.  That means that although I would like chips and salsa right now, I will have to settle for low fat artificial butter flavored popcorn.

I have to take Callie in to the vet tomorrow. She had some blood tests today and not good news. Her blood calcium levels are way too high.  She had this problem about a year and a half ago and recovered after treatment. So I'm hoping that will happen again.  Sheesh!  I can't believe that I'm having such cat health trouble.

I unpacked 6 boxes tonight and celebrated with a black cow....that's what we've always called root beer floats. It was really tasty

HAL PRINCE
« Reply #254 on: June 12, 2006, 08:14:56 PM »

My take on the Hal Prince Tribute. He was out of town in Las Vegas doing his Phantom Thing. It was demeaning to him and the Tony's to honor him when he wasn't there live and in person. Why didn't The Tony Comittee wait until next year when he could be there and accept the honor live and really get the tribute he deserves. Big Mystery??

I watched a one hour Poirot mystery on DVD - "The Theft of the Royal Ruby." Love those hour mysteries. They never wear out their welcome.

Then, I watched last night's DEADWOOD season premiere. Timothy Olyphant is as adorable looking as ever, and the whole show just draws me in with its majestic, stylized dialogue. So much intrigue even in this first show. Can't wait for the upcoming episodes.

Of course I loved THE CLOSER tonight even though I did guess the identity of the murderer.

But Brenda's continuing fight against chocolate/sugar products was hilarious. I SO identity with her, but I do NOT have her will power.

And then for HDTV eye candy, I wrapped up the evening with CSI: MIAMI. Along with all the stunning photography, Brad Rowe was the primary guest star, and he's always stunning to look at.

We had another big storm hit us tonight which once again cooled down things tremendously. This will make GREAT sleeping weather!

Ok, I know that some of you know how to copy from your DVR (Tivo) to a dvd recorder...I have spent a good chunk of the evening trying to figure it out...but blasted I can't seem to do it. Maybe I am just too tired tonight to figure out what kind of cord should go where.

I found instructions on the internet but I couldn't make sense out of the guys technical jargon...I need a "dummies" type instruction I guess.

I tried the cable companies instructions but just got a disc full of snow.

I got the two newest Fox noirs...I Wake Up Screaming and House of Strangers in today's UPS delivery, along with Junebug, Alice and Arsenic and Old Lace.

I noted that the two noirs were numbered 17 and 18.  I have the first 15, so I'm assuming number 16 is Boomerang, which was withdrawn pending some clearance issues.

Good wishes for Callie's visit with the vet.  Hopefully you can find a simple means of helping her control the trouble.
