Good morning, all! I was tormented by several dreams about recording in Ireland, but I would swear I was in Australia, which means that even in my dreams my sense of geography is totally screwed up.
After my COPS break - did the episodes deal with anything but prostitution last night? - I worked a while on a mess of a number called "Hot Spot," and around 10:30 I watched a DVD, the 2008 movie of EASY VIRTUE with Colin Firth and Jessiva Biel. It's loosely based on a 1924 comedy by Noel Coward, but it's been rewritten by its director to add some stupid slapstick about killing a dog, a lot of Anglo-American differences, and a revised ending with Mr Firth leaving his über-bitch wife for his daughter-in-law. I felt we'd gone from one Noel Coward play to another, DESIGN FO LIVING. It was also quite full of"watch this cool director" shots. O sort of liked it.
Today, more "Hot Spot" from ROBERTA, and if/when I finish it today, I'll proceed to another number.
