And since we still have snow, & Keith is out clearing our driveway instead of using the computer...

It's picture time.

My friend and I used to have recurring characters that would "pop up" from time to time when I would tell the children's story. I was the straight man and she would do the puppets. The layout of the sanctuary was great for having her hide without anyone know she was behind the planters. We wrote out own stuff. The characters were bugs and other vermin.

DearReaderLaura DR - here's a little hint.

If you get DR FJL to write the skit, they'll never ask you be involved again.

Ever.

DR elmore3003 may have a suggestion for a new addition to the cast.

For more lovely photos of the even lovelier James Royce Edwards, you can go here.

AH!  I thought that was James!  He was on the Mamma Mia! the first time I went out on the road with them.  *And Emy's last name is actually spelled "Baysic".

DR DearReaderLaura - I was thinking along the same lines.  Maybe the DRs of HHW could write your script for you, complete with songs and staging and costume suggestions!

BK, I do indeed read the posts, but as much as I'd love to blame Jose, I blame Mr. Bark Makalor, because I typically use the "new" button, which I did (as usual) yesterday, but for some reason it took me to the subsequent page, so I thought you had not answered.  After Singdaw's post this morning I went back and read your answer and was going to post here but the crisis with dangling telephone wires and electric lines intervened.

And tap dancing. Don't forget the tap dancing.

I think it is a wonderful idea.

OK, it's official, I am indeed having the day from hell.  I had just dropped the kids off at school (did I mention it's a "snow day"--meaning approximately 3 snowflakes fell, sending the entire city into a panic--so they started 2 hours late), then dropped by Border's to return a mispackaged Miss Marple set (two of one movie, which I hadn't noticed).  Asked two salespeople where the companion book for PBS's "Jewish Americans" was, both of them said they had never heard of it.  The second looked it up on the computer and said it wasn't in stock.  I decided to look it up, and it was indeed in stock.  The saleslady then told me she was too busy and referred me to the manager who, instead of just walking to the screen I already had up with the item on it, went through a several minute rigamarole giving me the third degree on book title, author, release date, blah, blah, blah.  He then curtly took me over to the Jewish History section, where they had AN ENTIRE FRIGGING SHELFFUL OF THE DAMNED BOOK.  Oy!

Then I stopped at Fred Meyer to pick up a mileage book for one of our cars, was in the store all of 30 seconds and returned to find someone had parked their car literally 1/2 inch away from my driver's side.  Absolutely no way for me to even fit in there sideways, let alone open the door.  So I get to trundle back in the store and have them announce over the PA that the owner of the car needs to move it.  Go back out and wait and about 10 minutes later this daffy little old lady comes out, completely oblivious.  I point to how close she is to my car and her retort is, "Well the car next to me was too far over."  FIND ANOTHER PARKING SPACE, THEN!!!!!

My head is going to explode.

Let it be known... I was no where near that Border's nor that Fred Meyer that DR JMK was just at.  No. Where. Near.
