The other day I suggested you do a song commission as a perk for the Indiegogo campaign and I wondered what you thought about that idea.

DR JOHNG I had the soundtrack LP for SHOCK TREATMENT for a few years before I ever saw the movie....and I loved it....the movie WAS a bit of disappointment - but some of the songs are great.....the ending was always a favorite of me. And I love RUBY WAX.

Happiest of birthdays to dear DR Elmore :-*
Thank you, DR Ginny! I haven't opened yesterday's mail yet but I believe I saw a card from you.
-
I've had a long phone call from my friend Bruce Pomahac, and we laughed a lot. Since his retirement and move from New York, I've really missed him. Joshie called and we settled all of the world's problems in 30 minutes as well. I'm celebrating my birthday with him and ro Berman tomorrow night.

I keep noticing Bruce Pomahac's name on things -- scores? CDs? -- and I always remember getting to meet him at one of the Encores! rehearsals. Where is he living now?

I have no doubt that tomorrow evening's birthday dinner will be lovely!

I first learned the name when he was working on a musical version of Huck Finn with Josh Logan.

I've located the scripts and scores for The Red Mill, so they can join the full scores and cut songs in storage.
I'm still hoping to record it, Babes in Toyland, and Jubilee before I die.

DR ELMORE them catz is cute.
-
I will now celebrate my half way point (well....wearing the pump until Thursday) of my chemo....by having a delicious Marie Callendar roast turkey and dressing with green beans and carrots dinner......
It is my favorite MC next to the Cheesy Bacon Chicken Pot Pie.....
-
DR GINNY as far as I am concerned the landfill is the best place for ALL Apple Computers.....which is such a oxymoron for me because all of my smartest and most creative friends SWEAR by the APPLE COMPUTER.....I could just NEVER get into it...the operating system seems backwards to me.
But then I was a PC/Windows guy from the Git-Go in 1998.....

Of course, I need to start buying tickets...but when I do, you won't be forgotten.

We had us a teeny-tiny earthquake about fifteen minutes ago.
It seems to have startled facebook friends who live near Westwood ;D

As do I! In fact, DR JRand, one of the things I looked forward to about retiring was NEVER having to use a PC again.

Beautiful monarch butterfly, DR JRand! A nice sign of hope at your halfway point...

Thank you DR GINNY......I never even thought of that!!!
Yes...and another smart, creative HHW'er reinforces my point about APPLE computers.....I wish I could GET it.....
-
DR JANE my pump is a portable one that I wear the remainder of my infusion day, the next full day, and then it's removed the next morning.
I wear it in a small shoulder bag, and it is attached to my port....a minor inconvenience....while i get about 12000 additional mg. of juice.....

Thank you rain. The Eagle Creek fire is now 46% contained.
-
Yesterday both my walks were partially in rain. Today I have missed it.
-
DR ELMORE - you are one of the friends I was thinking about.....I hate things that I don't get that are obviously beneficial.....
Remember that I was given a Mac as my first computer, so I've had to find my way on the innernet using one. If I'd begun on a PC, I might share your feelings.
-
Val came by and hanged my three collages. Of all the supers we've had, and they've all been wonderful, he's the best. When he got here, he saw my old iMac, which I'd dragged out of the corner and asked me if he could have it if I did not want it. I said sure, so I've spent the afternoon clearing out things before I hand it over, ascertaining that there's nothing there I need.
-
Larry - Just make sure your memoirs are saved!!!

Good evening!

Happy Birthday, DR elmore!

Well, this is pretty cool! Writer Keith Eisner Wins an O. Henry Award (http://olyarts.org/2017/09/19/writer-keith-eisner-wins-an-o-henry-award/)! He's from Olympia, and I know both him and his wife!
-
We're not close friends or anything like that, but I've known his wife Debe for probably more than 20 years. And I've gotten to know him and have seen him act in shows around town for many years, too. :)
-
Happy Birthday, DR elmore!
Thank you!

A theater friend tagged me on Facebook:
I believe I first met Tom in the show The Man Who Came to Dinner. He was our Sheridan Whiteside. I was Banjo. I had a lot of fun playing that role and the writing in that show is so fun. It's a show I would do again in a heartbeat. Tom was fantastic and always is. He is a wonderful man and an absolute monolith in this theatre scene. He doesn't do much theatre now. But everytime I hear he is working again I am happy for it. Tom, we only have a few shows we did together by I am glad that I got to work in your presence. Love to you dear man.

Today we got Typhoid vaccinations. Aside from our arms hurting, the shots were done too closer to my shoulder. Thank goodness it was in my better shoulder, still it difficult without one arm the works fairly well ;D

Gratuitous Post #100!

So, Olympia Little Theatre, where Silent Sky performed, has a video camera set up in their theater so that people who are in the lobby or in the green room can see what's happening on stage. It's just one camera above the entrance, so there's no editing. They also have a DVD recorder/burner connected to the camera so that recordings can also be made. Supposedly, they set up the DVD recorder/burner to record the last performance of Silent Sky so that at least the lead actress could send a DVD to her mother who lives (I think) in Guatemala. I was given the show disc and some blank discs so that I could make copies for anyone in the cast/crew (including me). I looked at the DVD on Sunday and IT'S BLANK! :o Well, it has the rings on the underside of the disc which show that something was recorded, but my own players and computer don't show anything when I tried to play it. I REALLY hope that the show is actually there, but that the process just didn't get finished on the DVD recorder/burner. I'm going the theater tonight and hopefully be able to figure out what happened. :-\
-
Anyway, I'm outta here.
Be back later.
-
Very nice tag DR TCB.
And congratulations to your acquaintance DR GEORGE....most excellent.
Yes DR JANE....my port will be removed surgically sometime after I'm finished with the infusion....it makes continued stabbing and probing much simpler during this process....
-
I am loving the first three movies on Jennifer Jones TCM night tonight....
Good Morning, Miss Dove
Love Is A Many Splendored Thing
The Man In the Gray Flannel Suit
-
Nice tag, TCB.
Congratulations to George's friend, Keith.
-
Knee is acting up tonight. I really want this pain to be over.
-
Starting to watch The Trip. Don't know if I can take two hours of Steve Coogan. Sometimes he's funny; sometimes he's irritating.
But it's a food movie. Of sorts.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS to DR ELMORE on your REAL BIRTHDAY!
I hope you had a wonderful day and I wish you a great dinner with friends!
-
Hi, Jeanne.
-
TCB, how nice to have someone say such nice things about you. I'm sure they're all true, too.
-
Hi, John G.
Sorry about your knee.
-
I went to the podiatrist today, then ran some errands, and stopped for lunch at a new favorite eatery. It's a hole in the wall, but the food is very good. BK wouldn't like it.
-
But I do.
-
Aside from that, I have no news.
-
Continued healing vibes to DRs Jrand and Ginny. And Tom, if he needs it.
-
Good night.
-
DR JOHN G have you tried the BE ACTIVE KNEE BRACE. I know it sounds crazy....but it really worked for me.... You can get one on EBAY for $5 or so.
-
What a wacko day, but a fun one ultimately. I know I got up after seven hours of sleep. But then the phone started ringing and never stopped, then I had a bunch of stuff to do, and I didn't even get here to say I'm up, I'm up. I'm up. Seven hours of sleep. The entire afternoon was spent with the Shermans, then I had dinner, then went back to the Shermans briefly. Now I'm home.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Page five? Really?
-
Shayne, it's a good idea and I'll make that a perk - the cost I'll have to figure out.
-
Richard Sherman also gave me six copies of the new book A Kiss Goodnight, based on the song he wrote recently for Disneyland - six signed copies will be in the Indiegogo campaign. We shot the video for the video for the Indiegogo, too.
-
But I do.
That's all that matters.
:)

I have my last physical therapy tomorrow (at least I think it's the last) and I will ask. Thank you for the idea.

Knee is acting up tonight. I really want this pain to be over.
I am sorry.

Actually, I felt a twinge that made me think of a kidney stone coming on. No. Please, no.

I may just go to bed.

I like MR BK's busy day description!

Let me know what the doctor says DR JOHN G.

Sorry. Good evening.

I couldn't get anything to work tonight.

Anyway, I guess it worked.

It worked! I brought the disc to the theater and fortunately there were instructions right there on the device. I put the DVD into the DVD recorder/burner, used the remote to "finish" the disc, and it played without any trouble! I brought it home and it played on my computer!
-
HOWEVER...
-
THERE IS NO SOUND! :o The recorder/burner gets its sound from the camera, so either the actors just weren't talking loudly enough for the camera to pick them up, or the recording volume wasn't turned up enough, but it's just video.
-
I sent a text to the stage manager who will contact everyone and find out if they still want copies or not. I am still more than willing to burn the discs, if they want them, but they should know what happened. ::)
-
When I played MACBETH, we had a beautiful recording made of the show, but they forgot to plug in the microphone. It was like a high quality silent movie.
-
When I played MACBETH, we had a beautiful recording made of the show, but they forgot to plug in the microphone. It was like a high quality silent movie.
If I knew how to do it, I could just take the music that they used for the pre-show and intermission and make a "soundtrack" to go along with the video...but I don't know how to do that after a disc is already burned.
