Oh dear, DR CP - those were a couple of names I hoped I would NEVER have to read to see again.

Hmmm... Jarrod Emick... :)

-I do have to say that as sexy as he was in the revival of Damn Yankees he was also heart-breaking (in a good sense).   So glad he won the Tony that year.

*And I've heard nothing but "good buzz" about Ring of Fire.  Who knows?  Maybe after the success of Jersey Boys and now Ring of Fire... It's the rebirth of the Jukebox Musical!

 :P

I saw Mr. Emick in "The Boy From Oz" and he broke my heart singing "I Honestly Love You" to Hugh!  And they got to kiss, what a lucky man that Hugh Jackman was!

On Thursday January 26th according to a calendar supplied to me by a certain Australian, it is

Australia Day
And not a good day! It is expected to once again be about 105 degrees F and there are bushfires already! There will not be much to celebrate.
Rain (sans lightning) vibes would be appreciated.

Another example of how the world has descended into a sleazy, sensationalist cesspool.  The Buttafuocos and Amy Fischer have a agreed to appear in "a televised reunion".  I'm sorry!  But when you try to murder your lover's wife, there is no reunion!  You don't all get together and cozily reminisce about the good ole days.

All three of the principals involved can only be agreeing to this for one reason: money. As a little man named Welch once said to another famous historical scumbag:  "Have you no sense of decency?"  The Television station has none; the Buttafuocos and Fischer have none; the morons who would watch this have none.

Another bunch that have given Long Island black eye

It's embarrassing when you are in another country and they ask where in the states are you from and you answer Long Island and they want to know if you have ever met Joey Buttafuco or Amy Fisher or the Gottis, or the Lohans or or or.... :P ::).

Since the tapes won't be here until three, and my meeting is cancelled, I'm just letting my brain percolate about the next short story - I have several ideas and am just trying to see which one wants to be written the most.  I thought I knew which it was going to be, but it's not stylistically different enough from one other story, and I'd rather do something completely different.

Question for DRs Matthew and Ron Pulliam...

So, which one of you is picking me up at the airport on Thursday?

;)

-I need to spend some time today getting my schedule figured out for Thursday.  Get my bearings in order.  I'll probably just hang around the Curran... Any suggestions?

Can an uptempo be a charm song?  If so, my favorite would be "Don't Rain On My Parade."

And in honor of Jose's current employer, I'm also partial to "Heart" from DAMN YANKEES.  Or is its title "You Gotta Have Heart"?

Is "Popular"  a charm song?  That's gotten lots of laughs every time I've seen WICKED (too many times than I care to admit), so I've thought of it as a comedy song.

JRand55, I am listening to a 2 CD set (borrowed from the library) of Pedro Vargas, the crooner who sang those songs in Aventurera! Some beautiful songs!

Still haven't thought of one I like more than I Am Going to Like It Here.

BUT, along with choices from other DR's, I will add:

You Could Drive a Person Crazy
Lovely - with its reprise

I Cain't Say No - which may not exactly fit the definition.
