Well, I've done some postin'...and I'm plain tuckered.

I'm going to go hurry along that warming process and eat me some vittles.

I might even eat some vittles fer you'uns, too.

Then it's "Ice Wars" for me, I guess.

Oh, yeah.  I've got some VHS watching to do, too -- last night's "Ugly Betty" awaits my attention.

Fortunately, I watched the superb (yes, I thought the episode was superb) "Grey's Anatomy" last night as it aired.

Most of you have probably never heard of Ernest Gold,

Well, not too long ago DR Tomovoz, whose pc has just crashed, mentionned him and I learnt there and then that Marni Nixon, NOT of the tapes fame ;) was once married to him!

Presently Marni's busy promoting her biography, I Could Have Sung All Night! What a lady!

Sounds like a miscommunication gaffe on the part of said hostess, who should have informed whoever was supposed to serve you that you were a table of one.  It sounds as if they presumed that you were waiting for someone, and weren't going to approach your table until the other party arrived.

Yes, that's possible, but what bugged me is they waited on the man sitting alone who did ask for a table for two and was waiting for someone....oh well it's history. Just got a call to go to Paul's where some people dropped in on him. Guess I'll go for awhile.

Well, if the hostess is dumb, the waiter in charge of that section could either ask the hostess or the guest! Communication is the key! Verbal!

Edi, the Quad is on 13th Street between 5th & 6th Avenues. It's very conviently located in the Village. It's a 4-plex (obviously) and was renovated a few years ago. All the theatres are small but the place is well maintained. They are one of the few independents left in New York.

I spent a good portion of the night listening to Richard Barrios' commentary for the roadshow of SOUTH PACIFIC. Now, the poor guy does have three hours to fill, but his comments are so full of repetition that it really constitutes about an hour of material repeated and elaborated on a bit over and over: about Mitzi Gaynor, about the color filters, about Josh Logan's movie directorial career. All suitable topics for discussion certainly, but the same opinions recited endlessly. He's done some really fine commentaries, but I think this one is too rambling. Perhaps a partner could have helped bring up other topics or engaged in some differences of opinion.

I still have about 20 minutes of film to go!

I did watched JUSTICE, an interesting case involving the death of the wife of the valet at the law firm's garage which the firm chose to handle pro bono.

I'm sorry the show didn't catch on as I do like the characters and like the look and feel of the show.

The INHD1 Channel had another of those Winter Olympic documentaries today - the 1960 Squaw Valley games, so I recorded it and fast forwarded through to see Carol Heiss and Hayes Jenkins win their golds. Jenkins did some very impressive triple jumps. Heiss did mostly singles in her routine. Of course, the film didn't show the entire routines, just possibly a minute of footage from each one.

I flipped on the ICE WARS for a second, and just happened to land on Michael Weiss' routine which turned me right off. I didn't like him as an amateur, and his professional program didn't sit any better with me.

Just returned from an exciting night at the women's Christmas party. I was the youngest one there. Sad, huh?

Is anyone else concerned about George right now?

His last post said he was taking today off...that he was going to get some sleep and that some repair person was coming in to take care of the leaking pipe, etc.

And that was his LAST POST, thus far.

What on earth could possibly be going on in that condo?

Lonely Indian Princess

...work it out ::)

And der Brucer is working his way through the bonus disc for Superman Returns, and may be developing a crush on Brian Singer, the director.

It's "Bryan" - and yes I am.

Back from a long day.  Went in early to look at and build light cues, but no one was ready and nothing began to get written until after seven this evening.  I was warned about this long ago and we gave the designer an entire extra week to have everything together, but that simply didn't happen.  He'd written about fifty cues when I left at eight-thirty, and our stage manager was staying and working with him.  I made it pretty clear that I wasn't going to be happy having him write cues as we were doing tech.  So, I have no way of knowing how tomorrow is going to go.  I shall now write Ye Olde Notes and get them posted early so I can go to bed early and try to get a decent night's sleep.
