Right now I'm listening to the Broadway cast recording of Titanic for the first time in years. I'm thinking that should have been a two-disc release, but it's so good to hear it after the small version in that UK production. That was a nice production, but Mr. Tunick did Mr. Yeston proud and I didn't know how much I'd missed that orchestra.
DR Elmore: Is there any work for Josh or you to do, prep-wise, on that score? Are the 1997 materials in good shape and ready to be played? Or might there be changes of any kind?
I don't honestly know. The orchestra reading happened over a week ago, and Joshie said Jonathan was very happy with it. Right now he's up to his neck with that, a small concert version of Brigadoon, Bye Bye Birdie, and the Irish Rep gala. We talk in abbreviations.
