So I bought some of these off the internet a couple of years ago as Christmas presents and kept one for myself.

I threw it in the emergency kit in the back of the car and completely forgot about it.

Yesterday  I went grocery shopping and forgot to turn off my headlights when I went into the store. ( it's raining , hence the lights).

Came out...car won't start, dead battery.

I remembered this thing, which has been sitting unopened in the back of the car for at least 2 years.

Read the instructions,  hooked it up and...
car started right up!

Much to my my joy and amazement!

So , huh, it really works!

Interesting.  I had jumper cables in my Ford Escort, but I left them in the car when I gave it away to pug and her husband.  This sounds like a pretty cool idea.
