Bedtime for me, too.  We're leaving at 7:30am for our 400+ mile drive.

'night!

Our plans for NYMF are to see The Brain's closing performance on Sunday, Sept. 30, and a double-feature of Such Good Friends and The Last Starfighter the following Wednesday.

Cool, we'll see The Brain together, then. If I remember that was sort of the planned HHW night...is that right?

That's all the planning I've done so far.  I need to talk to Sam to see what she wants to do as far as seeing the other shows.

We're supposed to arrive early in the afternoon of the 28th. I'm thinking about Starfighter that night

Us, too! And BRAIN on closing night!

I want to get to Such Good Friends, too. I'm just waiting to try to figure out the rest of our schedule since we don't have a lot of time there

Good Evening!

What is this? A slow new night at HHW?  I left a little under three hours ago, and this is all I come home to?!?!??!

Maybe it's time to get out my[/b] Bitch-Slap machine.   -Although, truth be told, I never really put it away.

In any case, LOVED "The Simpsons Movie"!  Funny, clever, smart, crass, and heart-warming!  And that was just the audience in the theatre! ;)  -It was my first time going to a late-show in Times Square, and I have to say the some of the pre-movie and during-movie "entertainment" was, well, pretty entertaining.  ;D

But I did love the movie, and it had me - like DR JMK - laughing out loud loud and often.  And as most of the reviews have pointed out, it's a movie even the very, very casual fan/watcher of the "The Simpsons" (on TV) can enjoy.

And, as much as I hate to admit it, I'm wondering what kind of extras will be on the DVD.

MMM  I've never really been "into" the Simpsons. See that it's clever but loath the animation and colour!

I'll wait for the DVD - to be cheap!

my listening pleasure today has been the Duets CDS by Tony Bennett and Ray Charles - followed by the way too short Cd by Johnny Mathis "On Broadway"

DR Tomovoz - Do you have Johnny Mathis' Duke Ellington CD, "In A Sentimental Mood"?  I bought it when it first came out - along with some Dionne Warwick CD which escapes my brain right now - and haven't really listened to it since.  Should I give it another listen?

From Vancouver to San Diego via Alaska-NICE CRUISE!

Astoria is at the very top of Oregon.  MBarnum & George, how far is that from you?

According to mapquest.com, from Tumwater, WA to Astoria, OR:

Total Est. Time: 2 hours, 11 minutes     Total Est. Distance: 117.98 miles

That's totally do-able! :D

I've listened to so little "new" music since about 1990. I now wait for others to introduce me to the talent that gets buried beneath the Idol pop style that fills the airwaves.

Ben Folds Five is great. Truly.

I, too, am back from seeing the late showing of "The Simpsons Movie" with DR Jose. What he said...

DR MBarnum: Thank you for the loverly package! Never have I been more grateful to speak Spanish - I might have strained something if I misunderstood Alejandro! ;)

Alas, the Seattle stopped was changed to Astoria, OR.  I think that's near DR MBarnum, but I'm not sure how close that is to you.  If you click HERE, you'll see the itinerary.

What am I, chopped liver?  (Or, possibly, chopped tofu?).  Astoria is a beautiful city where the Columbia River meets the Pacific.
