I got my first big order from Deep Discount today, so I should have no trouble finding DVDs to watch over the next couple of weeks. (The Martin & Lewis set was one of those in the order.)

Good Evening!

I indeed have a good time at the party with DR elmore, and it turned out I knew a couple of the people there too.  And I also met a kindred spirit: She was a friend of the birthday boy and his partner, and she was in charge of the desserts.  It turns out, she has a knack for finding new bakeries and other places to get treats and sweets.  We traded notes.  :)

And the song that the partner wrote for his boyfriend's 50th birthday was truly beautiful and touching.  And he gave out CDs of the song too as party favors!

And the food was very good too, and there was lots of it.  Alas, I believe I had one cookie too many after the cupcakes, candy and carrot cake I had consumed.  But those were some good cookies, cupcakes (from Tribeca Treats), candy and carrot cake.  :)

DR Cillaliz - That Greek Festival sounds great!  I used to love going to the one in Richmond - which always seemed to fall on the hottest and most humid weekend of the summer.  But the food!  And they always had some sort of deal on bottles of Greek wine if you bought them with your meal.  *And I know what you mean about that ouzo too.  ;)

 Nothing special.
And gazpacho.  With crab for a garnish.

 ;D

Which was very special, thank you.

Well, I watched (or rather suffered and endured) SWEET MOVIE. I never saw THE COOK, THE THIEF, HIS WIFE, OR HER LOVER, but I can't imagine it contained any more repugnant imagery than this movie contained. I'm no prude, but I was grossed out, turned off, and appalled.

This movie was not made for the likes of me.

The IMBD reference to "Drinking Urine" didn't give you a clue?

Well, I have to be at the theatre in 12 hours, and there are a few things I need to take care of before I head in for the matinee, so...

Goodnight.

Might I just ask where in tarnation everyone has been on this fine Saturday?  So many errant and truant people who will, as always, say something like, "Oh, so sorry, I was busy doing this or that or that or this or whatnot" and let me tell you I'M sorry but that will not WASH.
