DR Laura - LOVE your current quote!  LOVE! IT!

*Have you ever checked out Sh*t My Dad Says?  -He just landed a book deal.  I think you could too.

Really, thanks for that tidbit.  I look at the page once in awhile though I haven't joined the group.

And I am doing A Happy Dance right now since I just found out a dear, dear friend of mine is flying in tonight from Chicago for a last-minute work meeting - which is not until tomorrow morning.  So, I'll get to see him for a bit tonight... After some Vietnamese Cinnamon Hot Chocolate... And some great Chinese food... :) :) :) :) :)

Cool, DR Jose!  I wondered if you'd gotten contact info from the couple so you could send them the photo.

It turned into a beautiful day (though still cold). The rain from this morning was gone by the time I got back from lunch.

Before I headed out to lunch, I had time to watch last Thursday night's THE OFFICE. A very entertaining and funny episode.

Kathy Bates was simply wonderful on the show; I wish she'd be a recurring character. She mixed in very well with the regulars.

When I got in, I sat down and watched my work project for the day: MAKE WAY FOR TOMORROW. What an interesting film, especially for an America still in the depression. No wonder it wasn't a popular success!

Surprisingly, though I had a lump in my throat, I didn't cry. I think I didn't because I wanted to punch out every one of those children. Oh, I understand the hardships and that they were barely making ends meet as it was, but they didn't have to be so COLD and so dismissive.

But that last half hour - how idyllic! Then, it hits you that it's kind of like the last meal before an execution.

There were only two bonus features on the disc: interviews with Peter Bogdanovich (who does try to mimic Orson Welles early on but later on doesn't try) and critic Gary Giddins.

I got all of those watched, too, with time to spare.

Then I skimmed through ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Yes, my guy was on and was once again the most level-headed and clear-thinking of the guys, a hero once again. Loved it, but the rest was beyond tedious.

But tedious is the kindest thing you can say about AS THE WORLD TURNS. Dr. Pill was on, trying to play the game a little bit more but still obnoxious and irritating.

And I ended my afternoon watching Friday night's SPARTACUS. Very graphic episode, more violent than any previous, and I think maybe I'm done with the show. I'll continue to read the recaps to see if I'm missing anything of interest, but this level of bloodthirsty mayhem just gets old after a while.

So, that leaves me with the evening free (well, until '24' comes on). I may go ahead and watch MAJOR BARBARA tonight to get it out of the way. Then I can watch the other two G. B. Shaw movies tomorrow and be done with that box set.

I put the finishing touches on a new magazine this morning that is set to come out in March. San Antonio Taste, a food and lifestyle publication that will appear quarterly -- if we get some subscribers and enough newsstand interest. It's quite exciting, if we can get the corrections made and the printing looks even better than the proofs. So, if there's such a thing as editing/printing vibes, please send them along.

~~~Successful Magazine Vibes for DR John G.!!~~~
Have you thought about contacting your local libraries to see if they might want (potentially multiple) subscriptions?
Greetings from  Amherst! I am on the Hampton Inn computer after a day at the library at Amherst College. I finished my research by noon, but my friend Joseph, who's going through all the George M Cohan scores was busy copyting orchestra parts until 3:45. Tomorrow morning we will check out, go back to the library and he will finish his copying. I will take my work on WIZARD OF OZ and work on it.
Today, while he was copying, I explored the campus, found a student computer location and dealt with 130 emails. Then I spent some time in the music library looking at scores and books.  Tonight I will try to finish my Broadway Fights AIDS chart so I can begin copying it on Wednesday morning.
We need travel vibes tomorrow because we may be driving back through a lot of snow. So, please keep them vibes coming!
Speaking of vibes:
Jane, unless I am missing something, my Groups are nowhere under my avatar pic on FB.  I did find them on Info per Jose's recommendation.
Keith is a wizard.  But you knew that already.  :)
(For you DR's who may not know, Keith has been able to track down an incredible amount of information on my father's family.  My father was orphaned at an early age and always refused to discuss his childhood and Keith has really helped to fill in some missing bits).
Got up to page 370, but from here on out, it gets a little more complicated.  I still haven't decided whether to add two little things in two earlier sections (both having to do with the same show), so I'll continue to think on that.  But I've got some major moving of stuff around coming up and then the major restructuring and cutting of the final chapter.
He is sending you a photo of your grandmother's grave, along with an explanation.  When you see the photo you will understand why an explanation is needed.
I'm beginning to get nervous.  While I continue to get stronger, the mobility in my shoulder is not improving.  This is the second visit now that my therapist has not been able to stretch my arm farther.  I will be very unhappy if this is all the mobility I will have.  The therapist said sometimes this happens for a couple of weeks & then it begins to stretch again.
