When I got in, I sat down and watched my work project for the day: MAKE WAY FOR TOMORROW. What an interesting film, especially for an America still in the depression. No wonder it wasn't a popular success!
Surprisingly, though I had a lump in my throat, I didn't cry. I think I didn't because I wanted to punch out every one of those children. Oh, I understand the hardships and that they were barely making ends meet as it was, but they didn't have to be so COLD and so dismissive.
But that last half hour - how idyllic! Then, it hits you that it's kind of like the last meal before an execution.
