HHW, the most popular site on the Inter-Net.

I believe our esteemed President has definitively proven that's a plural.   ;D

Keep those mighty vibes coming, folks! Another check showed up today, so I'm not complaining as loudly as before. I can't pay off all the debts yet, but this is better than before!

So, I'm off to the bank now. I'm hoping they're giving away old money.

DR JRand57, I love this photo; I just know she's getting ready to offer some sneering bon mot to some poor sucker.

I am finally listening to Harry Connick's Jr.'s Thou Shalt Not.  I know this guy is a very good musician, but I find it really wacky that he's had a career as a vocalist, because, you know, if I want to hear Frank Sinatra I'll listen to Frank Sinatra - what Connick does is embarrassing, at least for me.  He also takes an orchestration credit for, thus far, an album whose "orchestra" consists of piano, bass, drums, and sax, and since it seems it's a jazz wannabe score, I'm quite sure the sax is improving.  Not exactly an "orchestration."  As to the songs - banal, boring, with howler lyrics like "So ring the bell, I surrender to love in which I fell."

I bought one Lester Lanin album at a yard sale....

He was on the cover writing on a blackboard, I think.  And it was just great.

Then I bought another - maybe R/H or some other Broadway something....another home run.

It was a lot of dance medley tracks....reading the notes on the Epic albums seemed to say that Mr Lanin and his orchestra was in great demand for college dances around the country.

Do colleges still have proms or annual dances or campus wide dances that have orchestras come in to play?  Or is it all....something else now?

Think I'm gonna wander around the IDS Center a bit and see if I can find some coffee and dessert.

Bye for now!

If you see Mary (Tyler Moore) at the top of the escalator, say hello. Although she may be outside throwing her hat in the air.

Oh I think I found the Lanin CD - but look at what else I found!

You can dance to the music of your favorite radio and television commercials!

DR GINNY - if you get tired or need to talk to some friends, Laverne and Shirley have a basement apartment somewhere around there, I think....or go over to Shotz Brewery and ask for them.

And I think Gertrude Slazinsky used to work there, too.

Making lunch for DP who has been down in the dumps lately as his Nana has decided to "give up" so to speak.  So I went to the butcher and bought 2 "Cowboy" rib-eye steaks which i will put on the grill along with some baby gold potatoes and a salad.
