I am finally listening to Harry Connick's Jr.'s Thou Shalt Not. I know this guy is a very good musician, but I find it really wacky that he's had a career as a vocalist, because, you know, if I want to hear Frank Sinatra I'll listen to Frank Sinatra - what Connick does is embarrassing, at least for me. He also takes an orchestration credit for, thus far, an album whose "orchestra" consists of piano, bass, drums, and sax, and since it seems it's a jazz wannabe score, I'm quite sure the sax is improving. Not exactly an "orchestration." As to the songs - banal, boring, with howler lyrics like "So ring the bell, I surrender to love in which I fell."
