Hey John G,

I went on the link.  Couldn't get a quality sound so I went on Kd Lang's version sung at the 2010 Live Olymics opening ceremony.  It was great.

She is so talented.

Greetings from gloomy Baltimore!  It's supposed to rain--not sure how that will affect the competition tonight.

Spoke with my brother.  He thinks they'll be here by about 4 pm.  Hope the traffic isn't too bad as they get closer to Baltimore.

Lots of flooding in my area....two roads closed that I usually take to the retail establishments, so I had to go around the other way.....nothing in my neighborhood, but I am glad that no more HEAVY rain is predicted for the next couple of days.

DR RonP, I would be watching the current season of Project Runway. But Lifetime Canada has not started airing it yet. :(

Hopefully soon. They've never started this far behind.

They may have felt the start of the new season was too soon after Project Runway All Stars (which ended one week before the new season of PR began here).

It's a chilly grey day and Anthony has a cold. I'll do the laundry tomorrow instead of Anthony doing it today.

I love the Leonard Cohen song "Hallelujah"

Also Jeff Buckley's version.

I am learning to play and sing it.

I have read many opinions about the meaning of it.

Anyone have any ideas?

Check out k.d. lang's version:

I didn't know the song...this is really good!  And k.d.'s version at the Olympic Games 2010 Opening Ceremony that Kate mentioned was fantastic, too!

TOD:

DVD - NEVER TOO LATE starring ME.....now and then I like to watch a show I've directed or appeared in....it is a funny play and I highly recommend it to all community theatres, etc.....except maybe DR GEORGE's group....it might not fit their canon.

Is there lots of blood...or lots of swearing...or lots of sex??  If not, then no...it's not for TAO.

In my CD player right now:  a 2-CD set that I made from Betty Buckley's DVD, "Stars and the Moon: Betty Buckley: Live at the Donmar."  The official CD only has part of the concert.  What's great is that the sound is very good...nice balance between all the instruments and Betty.

I have sat here all damned day waiting for a call from the actor's manager. I am not amused.  Perhaps now that I've vented, he will call.

Fiesta has started. Eleven days of partying in San Antonio. I'm off to the Oyster Bake after work. Will likely be pouring wine, as I have done in the past. Then time to sit and eat some grilled oysters during a fireworks display.

How high does the baritone have to sing?  I don't believe Guy Haines's manager has heard a peep about this, but then again you'd have to be thinking outside the box, wouldn't you?
