I deleted several apps from my computer and downoaded them again. Everything finally seemed to be running slowy, but running.  this Mac has to last another six weeks before I can even think of purchasing another.

TOD:

I think Sunday in the Park with George was the first time I saw images projected onto thte stage. It worked there, because when the images were off, the white stage resembled "a blank page or canvas, so many possibilities," as the show says. I have found some limited-budget productions to use them effectively, and I've seen a few large-budget attempts that looked cheap. I think it depends on the designer.

I saw "Sunday" in Seattle a few years ago and they used the Broadway revival screens.  It was very effective and a great production.

Theater Artists Olympia has used projections but three of them were very cool (I think) and quite effective.  We did a stage adaptation of Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs," Shakespeare's "Titus Andronicus," and our current show, "The HEAD! That Wouldn't DIE!!"

Things are a bit slow for me as well......perhaps it's just September.

DR JOHN G it's been so long since I've seen SUNDAY ITPWG that I didn't even recognized that quote.....I am sadly remiss.

I just got a call from my sister that she's going to our parents' house with some fresh apple fritters!  So, I'm off to my parents' house!

Be back later.

Only half the number estimated came for the funeral today. So there is LOTS of food left over. I have cookies in the freezer for the next group that meets there in a couple weeks.

Had a very weird day at the dance studio. Ended up helping the owner, Esteban, with a private party who had booked the studio for two hours. It was a group of four women, each completely unlike the others. And I think one of them was rich enough to offer the dance party as a alternative to a mani-pedi party.

It started with one woman asking if it were okay to take the classes without her top on, simply her bra, and without waiting for an answer, she did. Then it was quickly discerned that the women were not all equally interested in dance lessons, so my partner Joy and I stepped in to help and essentially had to babysit each woman for the entire time.

They had fun. I think that's all that mattered.

Not only were all four tickets free but they were for the party deck which is a two level covered deck with picnic tables instead of seats and a hot buffet consisting of barbecue ribs pulled pork, coleslaw, beans, corn on the cob, hoy dogs, sauerkraut and baked beans.  There were also sodas and beer
