TOD:

Nothing in the players, but a pile of unwatched, unopened BDs sits nearby.

I have been getting up early this week.  I think it may be heat-related even though I'm "air-conditioned" through the night.

I'd like it to become the norm.  There is something very nice about brewing a cup of coffee and sitting down to watch news/weather well in advance of preparing to go to work.

That said:  "Blech" to another work day!

Fog is as fog does.  This past week, fog doesn't.

I have actually used a chainsaw on a stick, George, just like in your photo. Not my favorite thing in the world, but it does help.

Friday morning greetings!  I have some errands to do in the southern Dayton 'burbs today.  It's cooled off nicely here in SW Ohio and I'm looking forward to the trip.

DR Jane, I'm so glad you like your new Vera Bradley bags, but I think I'll pass on the coupon.  I have more Vera than I need and will probably take some to the consignment shop soon.

Hope your shoulder's OK!

Ha Ha. That was how I was holding it and that was ok. Is is worse today.  The hot shower felt good but I am going to find it extremely difficult to dry from hair and make it look nice.

Thank you.

Hmm, using my nook while still in bed was easier than typing.  I think a lot of muscles were twisted in my arm going all the way down.  I don't feel as if I did any new damage to my shoulder.  Opening & closing door & drawers is difficult as it hurts, so I switch arms.

DR George - I'm sure your parents appreciate your efforts. I am just not certain that anything good can come from a chainsaw mounted on a pole.

Well, there is that...I certainly share your concern. ::)

Shoulder vibes for DR JANE.

DR GEORGE I had never heard of a chain saw on a stick....most interesting....kind of like a selfie chain saw.

It looks like it.  It's a fairly light-weight chainsaw, so it can't cut through very thick branches or probably even any tree trunks.  The real concern is being able to hold it up carefully and safely.

Good morning, all!  It's a somber day in Manhattan, and the stations are filled with 9/11 memorials.

I can't imagine what you went through, and what you're going through.

Thanks again for all the nice comments.  Tonight's audience is traditionally quite vocal....so we shall see.

The funniest thing that happened last night didn't happen onstage.  The stage manager - who will NOT be giving us notes anymore - looked at all of us and said "Two minutes" and we said "Thank you, two minutes" and walked past her toward the wings.

Karen and I are the beginners for the Second Act, so we went to our waiting places to get adjusted to the dark and be ready to start......we waited.....and waited.....and waited.....after about three minutes she pulled the masking drape back and said: "Oh there you are....." and ran back to her table to give the light and sound people the GO signal.....

Where did she think we went?  Why didn't she look there first?  She saw us walk toward the stage when she gave the two minute call.....
