Today is wife Sandy's birthday!It's so thoughtful that people all over the world celebrate and set off fireworks in her honor.
I just got back from an overnight stay in the hospital, not the most auspicious ways to ring in the new year, certainly. I woke up at about 4 a.m. Saturday with horrible abdominal pains. When they didn't subside after a few hours, I drove myself to the ER, where they discovered not the cause of the pain but a kidney problem that I'm going to have to get checked out with a urologist this week.
