My uncle - that I never met - was killed in a tree accident in 1935.

He died the next day.

His twin brother Jim who also worked there, told my dad who was nine at the time - that the tree had started to fall on him and that George ran over and pushed him out of the way.....and got the worst of it....

Speaking of li'l, I watched Li'l Abner two nights ago.  I last watched it when the DVD was released and that was some time ago.  It remains one of my favorite film adaptations of a stage musical.

Damn it to hell! Now I have to do the same.  :)

Indeed, it’s been long enough since I last watched it. Probably a decade or more, even though it doesn’t seem like that at all.

I had a most vivid and disturbing dream last night about being a part of an art heist.

That makes him a hero in my book.  Good genes in that Earls family, DR JRand70, as you prove daily.

Didn't Dino at the piano take over the gig from Art Blakey?  Did it involve him?

I think BK looks fine without needing to work on his ABS.

I don’t have that. Must remedy soon.

Fantastic! Annabelle loves Patti LuPone, so she's hit nirvana.  Although she is still angry with me that she cannot post on Cats Against Trump until I'm out of Facebook jail.

That's nice, and it's a fund raiser - so the missed accents are great!  I think that's the rule.

Hi DR Freddie.

Thanks, Jane.  Trying to catch up.  Access to post was nil so I ended up falling out of the reading habit.

Except for a rare person (maybe two) there who had to pick a nit, there seems a real awareness  in this time when so few people are still doing Cds of show music - that BK is one of very few still doing it in a regular basis.

Terrifying stories from Jrand.  And yet heroism runs through that story.

We are in lockdown again due to covid.  Schools are still open (high schools and elementary). But now my niece in grade 10 only goes to school every second day. And masks are mandatory.

Stores are still open. But restaurants are closed for 1 month. And no social gatherings or visiting other people's homes. And sports are cut for 1 month.
