Well, you've read the notes, the notes had first things first and second things second, and now it is time for you to post until the first and second cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: OVERMORROW!
-
First post after BK!
-
New CDs have been ordered!
-
What happened to TCB???
-
Maybe he's packing some more.
-
Well, this is really cool...New York Yankees announce LGBT scholarship recipients at historic Stonewall Inn (https://www.nbcnews.com/feature/nbc-out/new-york-yankees-announce-lgbt-scholarship-recipients-historic-stonewall-inn-n1009056?cid=par-xfinity_20190523)!
-
And now, to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning
-
It was a busy day at work yesterday ,although not compared to the old place
-
Just enough to make the day fly by enjoyably
-
I had some errands to run after work and then I went right to achurch event
-
We've been having a monthly "theology on tap" meeting st a local spots bar
-
We gather and have a bite to eat and a coup,e if drinks (non alcoholic beer in my case) and discuss whatever topic Pastor has chosen.
-
The discussions are always lively and interesting
-
Last night we talked about Hell
-
We officially ran from 7 -9 but Pastor and another woman and I continued talking until nearly 10
-
Then I came home chatted with Vuxdad a while and was so tired I just fell asleep
-
Hearing vibes for Elmore today
-
Good morning, all!
-
Speaking of hell, I've been through it all night. I slept very poorly and had a couple of anxiety attacks before deciding to get out of bed at 5:58. Everyone's fed, and I must clean the bowls and take care of the litter before I go.
-
I'm always the pessimist, so I'm convinced through some glitch I'll lose my case today. I need to be there by 10 for the 10:30 hearing, but I want to give myself plenty of time to arrive and settle in before 10, so I plan on leaving around 8:00.
-
After this brouhaha I will stop at Riplet Greer studios to see Rob, meet the Y cast, and watch a bit.
-
I had terrible dreams. The only one I remember now is holding a very sick Thatch, who looked ravaged and haggard, and begging for help.
-
If cleaning the litter is an indication of how my day will go, I'm in trouble. The bag broke, which created a mess. Then, soon as the litter was clean, Stella jumped in for a healthy BM.
-
On the positive side, when I finished up the litter and went for my second cup of coffee, I found Annabelle lying on the kitchen rug with Stella curled up on top of her.
-
Good morning, all.

T.O.D.
THE GODFATHER

Oy, what a morning for the likes of DR Elmore!
Been there, done it all — the anxiety, the cat and litter adventures, and horrible dreams on things you love.
Vibes for an easy, and, in the end, uneventful court visit!
-
On the positive side, when I finished up the litter and went for my second cup of coffee, I found Annabelle lying on the kitchen rug with Stella curled up on top of her.
Sounds like that day I showed up and A&T had just curled up together in the basket.
Congrats, sir.

Awww.
-
I burned a candle for a good result for you DR ELMORE!
-
I ordered the R/H CD.....I bought the Trotter one many years ago....when I was in a production of The Fanstasticks.....it is a glorious thing!
-
Good morning to all
-
Well two leisure suits have been purchased for my own self.....they are "costumes" so they are not real clothes - but I think they will suffice for my time onstage.....
-
I am wondering why someone would want to spend all that money to present it in a 75 seat theater. Is it an equity union equation that is done in a theater that small?
-
Good morning!

Everybody wants to be a producer......I guess DR MICHAEL

Finished yesterday a major rewrite on the Allan Carr project. Following the director's suggestion, I dropped a conceit that would have some of the audience members sitting on the stage and becoming part of the play. I also changed the silent character of Allan's assistant to a hustler since Allan had a proclivity for hiring them. I think it has made the story better
-
It is also been interesting that the producer is hearing from people who have worked or knew Allan and what to share their stories about him. Some of them are very interesting but they won't make it into the play.
-
Good morning, all.

Thanks, George, for the video link. Will watch later.

Good morning!
-
Did a quick look around these parts, and now I'm back to the real world.
Until later...
To Oz?

That's sweet.

You're welcome, John. I'm going to watch it today while I'm working. I now have two screens and can use one pretty much as a TV and still get work done. ;)

Hoping to hear good news from Elmore

Hoping to hear good news from Elmore
Ditto!!
-
Quiet day around these here parts.
-
I am home.
First, the good news:
The jerk 'landlord tried to stick me with a $123 "dispossessed charge" - whatever that is - and I refused to sign anything until it was removed from my account. The bitch attorney sent a flunkey so I missed a chance to say thank you and fuck you to her, much as I wanted to.
I went to the 92nd Y rehearsal, and I think the show will be good, if anyone's interested in coming. Ana Gasteyer made me cry singing "I Don't Want To Live On the Moon" from Sesame Street.
-
And the bad news:
When I got home, in today's mail I got aNotice of Case Status from the Civil Court, which puzzles me. I scheduled this hearing a week ago. When was this postcard from the Housing Court mailed? I can see no postmark, but this case should have been in the computer sincew 11:00am last Thursday morning. So, is this more aggravation from my shitty landlord?
-
Hoping to hear good news from Elmore
I keep checking in to see if there is news.
-
I see there is, however, I am a bit confused by it.
-
DR elmore, to confirm..... The charge was removed and you won your case, no eviction according to the court?
-
DR elmore, to confirm..... The charge was removed and you won your case, no eviction according to the court?
As far as I know, I've won the case and the charge was removed. I called the housing court and a very nice clerk told me the case was in the computer but the verdict had not yet been added to the computer. I think it's over, but I'm still convinced my landlord and his bitch attorney Elizabeth L:entini are harassing me.
-
Everything’s probably fine, but what an aggravating hassle. Just get good confirmation of that verdict.
Is your landlord an individual or small business, or a large one with many buildings? Either, of course, can be good or bad.

Izabella is our manager and the one raising the stink when she got back from maternity leave in April. Her replacement while she was out, Magdalena was the one raising hell in January who brought in the upper management. they both can rot in hell.

I thought I was over my dog obsession and then I saw Blue on today's adoption lists!

People who can afford to pay lawyers will (almost) always win against people who can't afford to pay expensive lawyers.
-
Re Allan Carr - I saw "Cant Stop the Music" and loved its excess and silliness shortly before the reviews could tell me how silly I was for feeling that way.
Nancy Walker, no directing Oscar, but Rhoda's mom could sure throw a party. I guess the reaction to the movie made her not want to direct again.
The YMCA number including then-Bruce Jenner

And as noted at the YouTube link, Valerie Perrine could wear as much or as little as she wants in the YMCA hot tub, and no one dame-shames her. :)
-
The whole concept of Steve Guttenberg still amazes 40 years later.
Did Allan Carr discover him?
-
I'm up, I'm up - I was up at eight-fifty because the helper needed to pick something up at nine-thirty. At that point I'd gotten under six hours of sleep. I didn't get back into bed until around eleven, and I slept until one-thirty and have been playing ketchup ever since. So, maybe I got close to eight hours but it sure doesn't feel like it. Then the MD for the Kritzerland show (and the Group Rep) is not coming an hour early to have our work session - that's an hour from now, so I must get dressed and get to the mail place, then shave before three-thirty. We'll see if that can all happen.
-
I would call that a too long of a nap. ;)

Maybe just slow mail service
I got notices of denial of service, service under review, service under review and authorization fir service from my insurance carrier all on the same day, and all several days after the MRI was completed

Thursday evening greetings! Richard and I have had our third weird day in a row today. We signed up with Lifeline Screening for a package of 5 ultrasounds that our doctors won’t order unless we present with symptoms. Since one of the tests is for abdominal aortic aneurysm and my father had one, I’ve had these screenings before, but Richard had not.
-
Our appointment was at 3pm and we had to fast for 8 hours beforehand. So, we got up and had a light breakfast before 7am. Our tests were uneventful and we’ll get the complete results by mail in a few weeks. I assume if they had seen anything life-threatening we would not have been allowed to walk out of there.
-
We were free to go, so we headed directly to Bob Evans for a proper meal.

Other than the potential harassing...HOO and RAY!!

Can a nap be too long? Too existential for this time of day.

Chicken? Biscuits?

Breakfast for both of us! Richard’s included fried mush, mine a strawberry crepe.

I didn't know this Jeff Moss song from Sesame Street, "I Don't Want To Live On the Moon," but Ana Gasteyer's rendition in rehearsal made me cry, it was so sweet and heartbreaking.

I read "is not coming an hour early to have our work session" - did spellcheck change "now" to "not?"
If so, boy, one letter can change a whole sentence!

I always I never smoke but I really did, kind of at one time. I propably had a 100 cigarets that would qualify me for the test.

All of the Dick Wolfe shows are finished for the season:

Eight hours exploring Vancouver today went quickly. In the afternoon we headed towards Stanley Park walking along the bay. We found a restaurant with lovely views and excellent reviews for a late lunch/ early dinner. We were not dissapointed.
After eating we walked to where the sea plane were taking off & landing and watched for awhile. I kept hoping one of the planes would pull up to the Chevron station in the bay.
The little boats trailing behind the sea planes were cute.

That's pretty cool, Jane. Last week, when I went up to Seattle to see School of Rock, my friend David took me to Gas Works Park (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gas_Works_Park) on Lake Union. We also saw a couple of sea planes take off from the lake. That was fun.
-
And now, I'm off to home and some TV watching.
Be back later.
-
We are glad we stayed near the airport instead of downtown. Taking the train was easy and we don't have to fight traffic in the morning. At the latest I need to be up by 6:30.
We are staying at a Holiday Inn Express. It is nothing special but comfortable, clean, and well organized. But then there is the view. I never imagined having a view of Costco from my hotel room ;D
Yes, we did go inside.

That looks interesting.

Good evening, all.
-
Let's move on ...
-
Four!
-
Hello, 1 guest!
-
Back to Rider on the Rain. It's a vicious, violent little flick. Bronson is both charming and menacing.
-
Time for bed.
-
Good night, all.
-
I'm watching episode 7 of Fosse/Verdon. They're working on Chicago.
-
I have to be up early tomorrow.
-
'night
-
Back from a fun dinner at Barone's with David Wechter. We split that amazing antipasto salad and I had the scampi. All great.
-
Rehearsal was too rough for my taste, save for my people, who were fully prepared. The rest were told in an e-mail on May 15 that they HAD to know their song by heart at the first rehearsal. Well, I knew something was awry on Monday because no one did. And that continued today - when I finally got so irritated that I began asking, they all said they'd never seen that e-mail. And yet, Doug resent it to all of them so they could see that he did, in fact, send it. It's hard for me to do what I need to do when they're staring at a piece of paper and don't know the music. So, for me, this first rehearsal was pretty much a waste of time, since I couldn't give them direction or help them. That means we have one rehearsal to do that work, and then their only other shot before performance is the stumble-through. So, they've been told AGAIN, by Doug and myself, that they need to show up at rehearsal two and that I expect to see a performance and that means knowing the song backwards and forwards and sideways. Those who don't will be in danger of being cut from the show.
-
Page four? Really?
-
I believe we've been on this damn page for about eight HOURS.
-
Never had a second to get to the mail place, but did have the conversation with the person who I've cast as the audio reader for GEE and I'll announce that in the notes - could not be happier. And then I'll make the offer of Adriana to the other gal I liked.

Congrats, BK! Can't wait to find out who they are!
-
On Fosse/Verdon, they said "on set" again. ::)
-
Wow, BK, are these ALL people who really don't care? None had read the first email?
-
Good evening, jan.
-
Good evening, George.
-
What the Hell happened here?
-
Page 4? Seriously?
-
Today I went shopping
-
First up, I looked at washers and dryers.
-
Hey, Tommy! How's it going? All packed and ready to move?
-
Well, this is weird. I've recorded episodes 5-7 of Fosse/Verdon onto my DVD burner, and after cutting out all of the commercials, I noticed that they have different lengths:
Episode 5 is 1 hour 2 minutes and 36 seconds
Episode 6 is 43 minutes and 9 seconds
Episode 7 is 55 minutes and 22 seconds
:o
-
I went to an appliance store where a friend of my sister and brother-in-law works.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Hi, jan.
-
George, how do you like the program?
-
What the Hell happened here?
Page 4? Seriously?
Today, I had three, count 'em, THREE different meetings...one of which lasted two hours and 15 minutes! :P
-
Unfortunately, he was out on a call, but the other salesman said he had been told that I would be coming in to the store.
-
PAGE FIVE DANCE!!
-
Naturally, the salesman that was there, didn’t offer any discounts
-
But did you find appliances that you liked?
-
Hey, Tommy! How's it going? All packed and ready to move?
Hi, jan. No, I am not all packed. I have another week to go.
-
Are you almost packed, sorta packed, haven't started yet?
-
Tomorrow I am taking my friend, Betzy, to see my new home.
-
I was supposed to take her out there on Wednesday, but she had a migraine.
-
Sorta packed, a little. ;)
-
Then we are going to lunch out by the new place.
-
Then we are going to lunch out by the new place.
Cool.
-
Does Nicky wonder what's going on? What are you gonna do with him during the move?
-
Does Nicky wonder what's going on? What are you gonna do with him during the move?
I’ll keep Nicky here, closed off in one room, while all the furniture gets loaded up. After all the moving is done for the day, I’ll take him out to his new home.
-
But, yes, he is wondering what is going on.
-
Then we are going to lunch out by the new place.
Cool.
There are a whole bunch of places to eat on South Hill.
-
Well, the time has come, my friends.
-
Good night, dear jan.
-
Good night, DR George.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Well, jan, I hate to do it, but I need to get to sleep. I'm having a hard time staying awake.
Good night, and have a pleasant tomorrow. :)
