I've also read that some of the toxins from marine creatures (possibly the Stone Fish) may be a help in relieving musle pain.
I used to assist an editor in LA who had severe arthritis---he couldn't even turn his head, he had to turn at the waist to look around at something. He took very expensive medication for this, just for the pain.
Several years later I had lunch with him and noticed that he could now turn his head. He said that he had been vacationing in some tropical climate and was swimming when he found himself in the midst of a bunch of jellyfish. He was stung all over his body and had sores all over. But a few weeks later, his arthritis (rheumatoid, I think) disappeared and he only had to take an aspirin occasionally for pain. I told him that he needed to tell some doctors or something in case it was something they could experiment with for a cure.
