Oh my brother and I used to capture ants in a mustard jar, then set them loose on a plastic model of the SS United States and set them sailing in the horse trough.  Of course the model had a hole in its hull.  Ant behavior on a sinking ship is fascinating.

But I am sure we are not the only boys to conduct such an experiment!!

Thank you Jennifer.  We should return the evening of July 1st but I might need a couple of days to recover from jet lag.

The fortune in my cookie reads, ”part of the joy of a vacation is getting there”.  Yea, right-I think not.  The second part of the fortune is good- “have fun”

Funny JRand but I would never buy a man a wallet.  My guys all like to choose their own.

I think slathering the doll with Cream could make perfect sense.  Children emulate.  I suspect Panni you watched your mother or someone else use the cream.   Or the action itself may have just felt good, like finger painting.  To me it sounds funny, but not weird.

(Putting on my TCB hat here:)

"Finger painting"?  Is that what you call it?

DR Jane--you and the hubby have a wonderful time!  And stay indoors during the nights with a full moon!

Yeah, I figured that a god needs an avatar.  The picture is looking wider than it actually is--not so much myself, but it looks like I'm holding a 2-litre bottle of Coke.

Be adventurous.....buy the wallet!
Or make one!  Out of Duct Tape!  (There are books out there with the instructions!)

DRJENNIFER almost any man - whether he admits it or not - could use a new wallet!

Yah he probably could use one.  But he'd probably want it to be a certain way.  And I'm going to buy the gift without him.

When asked what he wanted, the only thing he could come up with was a dvd of JOAN OF ARCADIA.

Or course it doesn't matter that that doesn't exist. :)

Ha. I wrote my response before reading this.

I like to choose my own things as well and everybody that buys for me knows that.

The only exception is stuff given from a guy.  Although it is very interesting to see their taste!

DR JRand, the number you're seeing (50,236) is the total number of posts for the entire board, including the Kritzer Area, the Millie Area, the Tech Board, etc (I had a similar question when we hit 40,000 and DR Michael Shayne pointed out this information). The daily discussion board is around 49,931 something. We need a little less than 70 posts right now to get to 50,000. You see the total number of Daily Discussion posts at the very first screen of the Community Forum. It lists Forum Name, Topics, Posts, Last Post. Once you click on  Daily Discussions to enter that screen goes away.

Jennifer I hope your email arrives soon and isn’t lost.

I'm sure it will arrive eventually.  Hotmail seems to do that sometimes.  But I'm not sure why.

My buddy Mark wants me to go to a nakey beach with him Saturday. Not sure I am wanting to do such a thing ( We will most certainly be keeping our clothes on!).

Well, DR MBarnum, in either case, be sure to take lots of pictures!!  -And you can just send them to me privately if you'd rather not take up bandwidth here on HHW. ;)

My post #106 was 49,933.

So post 50,000 should be #173. Is that right?

Jane,

Your horoscope says it's an excellent time to enjoy escapes. (Also: you've been a caring mentor, and the resolts are starting to show. And: Your mildly sarcastic comments may backfire around the 20th.)

I will most likely be out when the big moment happens here. It's a friend's birthday and we are going out for a snack and then we will see Broadway: The Golden Age. I will take part in the festivities tomorrow morning.

But it does - in my box of Emmy DVDs. I can certainly send it to you, but not in time for Father's Day. Could he take a rain-check?

Dan (the Man), our newest God, it’s nice to have your picture there.  I had taken a second look at that rather large bottle of coke.

Jennifer good luck finding a gift!  Wish I had saved my JOAN OF ACADIA show for you.

Thank you MBarnum.  I hope we can get a nice family picture on the trip.

Dan-in-Toronto thank you for the horoscope reading-LOL.  Now if only I knew which mildly sarcastic comments were going to return to haunt me. ;D

Jennifer-correction.  I just read Panni’s post.  Maybe you do have a gift. :D

I really read the post awhile ago but was locked out of the site-had to close down and come back.

I-between we cleaned Echo's wounds.  They are looking very good today and she is recovering nicely.  :D :D :D
