BK, do you know if THE RATINGS GAME was always intended for Showtime? I wonder if it was ever thought of for theatrical release. It sure had a wonderful plot idea and a cast full of stars.
For those unfamiliar with the RATINGS GAME, Danny DeVito plays a rich, kind of stupid businessman, who dreams of being a TV star so he produces terrible pilots for himself, and they are so bad, but he finds a network like NBC is now, in such bad shape that they'll put anything on. Then he devises a kind of brilliant scheme to make the ratings appear to be really high for his shows and becomes a great success for awhile.
