I just order whatever looks prettiest.

Yeah, but the waiters aren't on the menu.

That all depends on where you dine.

Nice of you to offer!!! Actually, back in the day, a gourmet chef friend did make that very dish for me birthday. Some time in the late '70's, it was... thanks for the b'day wishes.

I've got a Norfolk Terrier & a Border Collie.

I really don't want to fly them in cargo.  If possible, I'd like to find a service that drives them.

Well, AA is the only airline that flies non-stop, and they would charge you $150 for the cat-in-cabin and $300 for the two dogs in the hold.

Also, there is no guarantee the dogs would fly with you - they wouldn't board the animals if the ground temperature at either airport is below 46degrees (as it can be in Austin).

So, any service that charges you about $500 is a deal. (You need to find two LA college kids with relatives in Austin).

Hmm... I know I've dined at "M&S" before - McCormick & Schmick's, but I don't think they have an outpost in the West Village - but I'm not too sure about S&M.  Hmmm...

Although, I still do miss Pot Belly's on Bleecker.  Sometimes the crowd there was, well...  But the baked egg dishes at brunch were always tasty!

I may do a couple of trips to the motion picture theaters this weekend...both SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE and SEVEN POUNDS are opening here beginning today.

Be sure to watch the final credit sequence of "Slumdog Millionaire"... :)

DR MS - that was a very funny article about Mr Piven, the big Broadway star.

What's really interesting is that in the New York Times "Arts Blog" early version of the story, they actually used a strike-through to "correct" the article.  Very interesting.

There used to be (a few years ago, I don't remember exactly how many) an S&M (yes, that's  the euphemism) restaurant on 23rd Street and 7th Avenue. It's been gone for a few years now. They closed down and as far as I know they never moved into the Village. That could be the place Sing means.

I think that's it, DR Ben!!  :)   And I understand that the wait staff would do most anything, for an appropriate tip...
