The Brain in L.A. but I guess Fletcher and Co might enjoy a show called The Leg today, in their own backyard!

And yes I am back from cross continent journey to LA. What a weekend it was. Way too short. I loved being there. See people I  have only know by name. Great To finally meet them.

I got my rental at went straight to DuPar's and I was only 5 minutes late.

Damn those LA Freeways are scary to drive on!

The person next to me is my long time friend Julie Amato. I actually made my television debut on her TV series in Canada. It was a musical variety series. My debut consisted of her sing a song to me, "I Love You Because You're Trash" written by Cliff Jones who also wrote ROCKABYE HAMLET. And to my amazement she remembered the lyrics.
I bought her the DVD of Kevin Spirtas Concert Show so she will get hers in a few days.

Now I don't usually say this but.....

I had a hard time trying to figure out who was sexier. Kevin Spirtas or Michael Barnum.

If I had to choose it would be Michael.

1) I was sitting next to him at dinner.
2) He gives great hugs.

It's too bad he's in Salem and I'm in Boca.  :)

Pogue, I'd originally asked for the small wig mics, but they showed up with these things and it was too late to change.  I hate them.  Back in 1968 when we did How To Succeed, I became the first person to ever wear a body mic on the LACC stage - prior to that it was just some foot mics.  I contracted pleuresy during rehearsals - I was wrapped in some sort of chest girdle, and I could barely breathe without pain, so they miked me to make it easier on me.

I'm home and have been for about an hour or so.  The show went very well, except that the top level of the set (it's only about 4 feet off the ground with one level below it) broke at some point during the first act and now there's a foot-sized hole in it!  Fortunately, the word got out and the big running cross-over that happens over that level was able to be rerouted to the next lower level.  No one got hurt and since our next performance isn't until Friday, the set fixers have a lot of time to fix the set. :)

After today's sold out performance (the word's getting out!), I had lunch at Quiznos (I had a coupon for $2 off!) and then came home, which is where I am now.

Hi, George - glad to hear about your show's success, too.  And that nobody was hurt on stage.

Our Christmas tree is finished - crowned (with the crown made by my grandmother), skirted (with the skirt made by my mother-in-law), and with a few presents underneath (courtesy of my friend Becky).

Thanks!  Click HERE for a write-up about Cannibal:  The Musical.  It's not a review per se...it was published the night of our final dress rehearsal.  But it's a good write-up. ;D And there's a picture, too. ;)

Cilla - Toby and Dylan are glad to have me at home, but they do very much love Maureen, who had been watching them for the weekend while we were (almost) en route to L.A.

Here's a photo of our Christmas tree.  Yeah, I know, it's dated 2004.  It's artificial, so it's the same tree this year, and we're so tradition-bound here that it looks almost exactly the same.  Maybe a few new ornaments this year, but that's about it.

Yes, yes, elmore's consistent insistances all weekend got me to cave in and start posting.

The pictures look amazing.  It's so awesome to see the show from a different perspective!

Welcome new D(ear) R(eader) Cason!  I also enjoyed listening to you and Merrill on Donald's Broadway Radio Show with Bruce. :D

Newspaper montage person, Aundrea.

When I did Gypsy 10 years ago or so, I was one of the two placard changers.  I also played a couple of other characters in the show, but the main thing is that I and Alice would do a different bit in a different costume that fit with each scene, each time we had to change the placards.  The audiences really enjoyed us. ;)

 ;DYes he does!!! ;)

Jitney was wonderful! Every actor pulled their weight and the staging was remarkable and the lights were complementary and it was just an all around stupendous piece of work.

Now I get to do Trigonometry homework, I have a test tomarrow. >:( >:( >:(

Good luck to those traveling!
