Well, you've read the notes, the notes were Banjo-esque and had bits, and now it is time for you to post until the Banjo bits cows come home.

Last night was a weird night of dreams that I actually remember.  The most vivid was in a book shop filled with crates and books, and I was closing or shipping cartons of work for the last foundation I worked with thjasyt folded in 2015.  The late John McGlinn showed up and we had a discussion about the foundation that sacked him in 2002.

In another I dreamed I was vacuuming a thick shag carpet in the living room of my goddaughter's home while her mother vacuumed another room.  Her father, my former friend, was around, but I refused to speak to him.  No change in the reality of that dream!

The last 30 minutes have been major cleanup, thanks to a rollicking Stella and Annabelle.  There was a crash as a pile of books came off a bookshelf onto my printer, breaking one of the trays, and sliding across my computer table to the floor and spilling half a cup of coffee.  This was followed by two leaping cats trying to avoid injury from their chaos and my screams of GOD DAMMIT!
Title: Re: BANJO BITS
Post by: elmore3003 on November 15, 2019, 04:43:40 AM
The coffee is mopped up, the table and my glasses are mopped up, the books are picked up, and my fantasies of two young cats being hacked to pieces is over.  I don't what to do about the printer.  I certainly cannot afford a new one.

Like DR CHAS SMITH I am also irritated that Fox has put The Resident on a different night.....it used to follow 9-1-1.....so you could watch those two shows - then switch over to The Good Doctor....

So much for that.  I have yet to watch Prodigal Son the show that took its place on Monday night.

I'm sorry to hear about the lack of progress with the HMO and the damage to the printer.

Strongest vibes on all of this and more, to DR Elmore and to all others who need them. And it seems many of us do at present.

It's one of those mornings that, for me, started with a night of awful dreams -- not nightmares as such, but they touched on a few things of greater and lesser importance that have been on my mind, and they manifested these issues as extremely irritating little situations that repeated themselves without resolution until I finally woke up and literally jumped right out of bed in order to be rid of them. Now that I think about it, one of the major dreams of the night before falls right into place here. There is most definitely a disturbance in the Force.

It's not as if there aren't a thousand other things I should be doing with my day, but right now I'm trying some video transferring from the DVR to the MacBook.

I'd captured a few things last year on my older Windows laptop, but there were problems that seemed to be memory (RAM) related, and the Mac has twice as much to work with. The transfer software for the Mac isn't as snazzy (it's authored by a different company), but I'm finding ways to deal with one main irritating aspect of it.

We'll see how this first thing goes, and once I'm happy with the process there'll be a veritable assembly line of activity going on here.

On the day I listened to someone tell me that AI-driven programs for content creation won't take people's jobs away, I learned that my friend Bonnie and her entire department of editors, including her two bosses, will lose their jobs in April. She seemed OK with the news, but I think that'll change once she's had time to let it sink in.

Oh, no. :-\

In the actual TV broadcast, just before the last word of the play is spoken, they have someone (the director?) in a short pre-recorded segment say something, then they cut back to the end of the play, the ads, and the end credits.

It's interesting that both actors are Britons, but they're playing Americans.

His voice was very sing-songy and seemed like he was just trying to get the American accent right.
