Well, you've read the notes, the notes were dated, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently dating themselves and having a moovelous time.
-
And the word of the day is: PESTIFEROUS!
-
LIMBO!
-
I'm still asleep! Don't wake me! Zzzzzzzzz!
-
So, BK...why didn't Bob Walden do Curtains when it went to Broadway? Or is that privileged information?
-
Welcome five GUESTS. Don't wake up Pogue, especially by singing Anatole of Paris.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Where'ssssss Frank Thring when you need him?
-
Pogue, if you get the new El Cid DVD, Mr. Thring has a nice role.
-
Walden only had twelve lines in the whole show. When they were negotiating the B'way contracts, they said the only way it made financial sense for the producers was if he would also understudy two roles. Needless to say, he told them no. The chutzpah of producers today knows no bounds.
-
LIMBO!
-
Make that six GUESTS. Maybe Mr. you know who is back.
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
Mother of mercy, is this the end of Rico?
-
And to all, a good night.
:)
-
Sunday morning greetings! In about an hour, Richard and I will leave for church in Cincinnati. That is all we have on our agenda for today.
-
BK - Please send Skip's love to Jason Graae when you see him.
They've recently happily reconnected (thanks to the joys of email) after all these years, but I don't think Skip and Jason have seen each other in almost two decades!
-
Good morning, all! First up today, a trek to Toyland. I have to cart home the first act scores to Lady Of The Slipper to begin the critical notes on the score. I will work on the notes here during the week.
After that, I have 10 remaining cartons to seal and move back into the apartment to join their 31 siblings already cluttering my new uncluttered space. DR Laura, I loved your reference to my artwork.
The scuttlebutt about the apartment building, now that the gossip on the bitch neighbor's complaints to the fire dept and management has been passed around, is that many tenants have stories about her craziness and neurotic behavior; she's not very popular, I'm learning. As one of my neighbors asked yesterday, "what are the firemen doing on the third floor of an apartment bulding in a tour with Jaymie when they showed up to investigate a steam pipe on the building next door?"
As for Jaymie, the charges I dumped on her yesterday were:
1. why is it you can't leave me a note or a phone call about the fire dept on Thursday because you claim you were too busy with classes while you had no problem wasting your time while escorting them on a tour of our apartment building?
2. when the fire dept asked about the cartons in the hallway, why didn't you give them my number (she has it) and tell them to call me?
3. why is it you only called me to alert me to the problem 2 hours before the firemen showed up on Friday afternoon with their violation order?
4. why is it you called the apartment management on Friday afternoon immediately after calling me to alert them that they might be subject to a fine for my clutter?
And she claims she's a friend. Miss Jaymie in 3E.
DR Jose, on a much cheerier note, I love the Steinway Hall photo!
-
Well my friend is on his way to Tennessee.
-
Today's plan:
Reherse Reherse Reherse my speech for the Toastmaster's International speech contest.
Pick up mother at the airport

DR Michael Shayne, have a great visit with your mother!
Two words of advice: Spell Check!

Seeing the ADD1NG MACHINE musical this afternoon. This has gotten polarizing reactions on All That Chat, with extreme love and extreme hate (both sides from posters I've respected in the past) more extreme than any other new musical I can recall in a long time. Should be fascinating.
-

DR FJL, enjoy! I am now off to Toyland!
-
Goodbye, DR Elmore! Have a good day in the land of the toys!
-
I will be interested in hearing about THE ADDING MACHINE. DEAD MAN'S CELL PHONE also sounds good. I think we need to get out to the the-ay-tah more here. I always enjoy it when I do go.
-
We did some canvassing of the neighborhood (we are block captains) to gather contact information for our neighbors. Car break-ins are a big problem here because many people either have to park on the street or their houses are very close to the street so their car is barely parked off the street.
We found out that several neighbors were hit within the last few weeks; one of the scum even stole the whole car! (It was 14 years old, so the owner wasn't too heartbroken...)
-
'Morning, JRand and td!
-
My gardening show producer will probably come by today at some point, to offer gardening advice.
-
DEAD MAN'S CELL PHONE is one of those titles that you hear....and then think "Why didn't I think of that?"
Great photos and stories from the Hollywood Collector's Show. Mr BIG certainly has unusually colored hair - for a regular person, not for a producer.
DR JOSE all of those photos are certainly avatar/blog worthy to be sure.
Hello DR EDISAURUS.
Travel home vibes for DRMBARNUM and speech vibes for DR MICHAELS
-
Hitler Bamboo! Who knew there WAS such a thing?
Rainy today, warm with thunderstorms predicted. I myself have been under the weather.....a terrible place to be, let me tell you.
But I did watch my TAMMY movies and enjoyed them, to a degree. John Gavin was so bad in TAMMY TELL ME TRUE and Peter Fonda was so bad in TAMMY AND THE DOCTOR that....well....Leslie Nielson looked like Sir John Gielgud in comparison.
I am of the opinion that I think Mr John Saxon was Miss Sandra Dee's most complimentary leading man. I still think they were so perfect in THE RELUCTANT DEBUTANTE, and would hope that movie would see a DVD release someday.
-
My gardening show producer will probably come by today at some point, to offer gardening advice.
Ask him about the Hitler Bamboo and if it will grow in Indiana. ;D
-
Page Two Cow Dance.
-
Jrand - Indeed, I thought the same thing about GROUNDHOG DAY when I heard the concept - it seemed so obvious, so why didn't I think of that before they did?
But then it turned out that the idea of a day repeating wasn't that new after all.
So i wonder if there will be even wilder riffs to come on the idea of a dead person's cell phone. But playwright Sarah Ruhl goes very wild with it.
P.S. for you as an actor - The "Dead Man" role seems like it could be played by a whole range of ages, so be alert if it's done in your area. It's a plum role, so if anyone asks you to play it, read the second act before refusing it.
-
LOL.....DR FJL.....you had me at the title.
-
Good morning!!
It's overcast this morning, and it looks like rain is imminent. We need it so no complaints from me. I'll be inside today anyway since it's laundry day and also the day I clean the guest bath.
-
TV Reminders:
CBS has the last new COLD CASE for awhile tonight. And DEXTER begins its run tonight on CBS.
A new BROTHERS & SISTERS airs at 10 tonight on ABC. It's the last new one for awhile.
NBC is dragging another old hit out of mothballs and updating it. KNIGHT RIDER in TV-movie form premieres tonight. It it's a hit in the ratings, expect NBC to turn it back into a series for next season.
-
Today, I'll be watching the director's cut of BEOWULF. I didn't see it at the theaters, so I'm curious to see how this next attempt at motion capture animation works out.
The DVD comes out on the 26th.
-
This will be the first time I've watched COLD CASE in months. Unless the golf match runs way overtime, COLD CASE should finally start at its scheduled 9 p.m. time.
-
Have a safe trip home, DR MBarnum.
-
Smooth trip vibes to MBarnum
-
Thanks for the travel home vibes! I am eager to get home and see Dog Bosco and Freddy. My co-worker/dog sitter Brenda has been sending me some hilarious photos of Bosco all week which I will share upon my return.
-
It is overcast and cool this morning so I guess that will make me ready for the Oregon weather.
-
Jose, those photos of you with the piano are wonderful!
-
DR Jrand, it is always nice to have a DVD collection on those sick days! And I agree that John Saxon was one of Sandra Dee's best leading men..they just looked so good together and he was always so sincere.
-
Oh, I just read the sad news that actor Perry Lopez passed away in Beverly Hills of lung cancer. Seems he guest starred on just about every TV show made between 1955 and 1994, and of course he will be long remembered as the lead in the
Beverly Garland Allison Hayes film THE STEEL JUNGLE.
(http://www.cinefania.com/pics/personas/7/7214.jpg)
-
Guess I'll head down now, get the laundry ready for washing, and then begin lunch preparation.
WBBL.
-
Not to say I told ya so, but I told ya so, BK (re: The Smiling Lieutenant). Monte Carlo is the most dated of the four (and also the earliest, perhaps no coinky-dink then). I had a really hard time understanding MacDonald's high register stuff.
-
And the word of the day is: PESTIFEROUS!
And The Song Of The Day Is: GLORY
-
Is time for to check out of the Burbank Marriott and head over to the Oaks of Sherman wherein I will meet BK for breakfast at 10. Before I head over, however, I shall stop and shop at Fry's Electronics and see what DVDs they might have for sale...'cause gosh knows I need more DVDs.
-
We finished the first season of DEXTER last night. Largely compelling, but I found the final couple of episodes pretty hackneyed, and, like the killer's identity, I also guessed his connection to Dexter probably halfway through the season, as I bet any good mystery fan will, too. But it's certainly an unusual series and there are some great performances even when the scripts follow well-worn formulas.

Safe flight, DR MBarnum!
-
And the word of the day is: PESTIFEROUS!
Doctor Petri loves his favorite PESTIFEROUS patient, Camille, because she PEUTRIFIES SO.
-
I'm up, but must now leave and go meet Miss Patti and MBarnum at the Lamplighter.
-
I know, I've been E&T the last couple of days.
Get over it.
:o
Time to get to work.
Maybe I'll be back later on, after I get home again.
-
I have not been errant or truant.
Indeed, not.
I've been enjoying the exploits of bk and MBarnum rigorously.
I've done my laundry for the week.
I've cooked my dinners for the weekend.
I've grocery shopped.
I've shopped for music and dvds and books.
I've ripped dvds so that they are ready for a major trade.
I'm ready for a rest.
I bought, with a 10% off total sale coupon, the dvds of THE WIZ and EL CID.
I watched all of the 2nd disc of EL CID's special features, so perhaps later I shall watch the film.
I watched a lot of THE WIZ; it's still an ugly film even with the anamorphic enhancement, but, this new release boast a terrific DTS soundtrack in addition to the DD 5.1.
-
DR Jose - you look great with a Steinway.
-
I want Peggy Wood to knock on her door and ask, "What is it, Jaymie, you c---t face?"
Yes, I'm still brooding. I did send a letter of complaint about her actions to my apartment management today.
-
***TRAVEL VIBES*** to our dear DR MBarnum!
DR JoseSPiano - great Steinway photos! Also, thanks for sharing the "art," I guess. :-\ Do they really allow you to take photos in the MOMA galleries?
DearReaderLaura DR - great rain photos!
Lovely photos also of bk and his colleagues at the show!
Glad to hear that DR George is feeling a bit better. :)
-
The opera last night was fun. They sang in German with supertitles, but the dialogue was rendered in English. The "guest artists" in the party scene were Yale Opera graduates now on the Met roster. Unfortunately, it just highlighted how much the current students still have to develop as singers.
-
Is the Robert Waldman that bk is referring to the same Robert Waldman who composed the score for The Robber Bridegroom?
-
I didn't get to bed last night until 1:00 AM, and since I had to rise early for church this morning, I am now on my way to a blissful afternoon nap...
-
Glad to hear that DR George is feeling a bit better. :)
Thanks. I am too. ;)
-
From Matt H:
It's a fabulous show, but who know how much CBS is going to cut out of it to make it network TV-ready? Better to rent the DVDs of Season 1.`
If only some of the gory stuff is cut, then I think we will be ok watching on CBS. If we don't like the show I'll order it from NetFlix & give it a second chance.
Will you be watching the edited version to compare?
-
Thanks for the travel home vibes! I am eager to get home and see Dog Bosco and Freddy. My co-worker/dog sitter Brenda has been sending me some hilarious photos of Bosco all week which I will share upon my return.
:D
Safe and easy traveling!
-
From Edi:
Of any of the people mentioned, I would love to have met Jonathan Winters the most...
Keith is a big fan of his. We both would have enjoyed meeting Ernest Borgnine.
-
~~~Travel Vibes for MBarnum!!~~~
Not to say I told ya so, but I told ya so, BK (re: The Smiling Lieutenant). Monte Carlo is the most dated of the four (and also the earliest, perhaps no coinky-dink then). I had a really hard time understanding MacDonald's high register stuff.
MONTE CARLO does not predate THE LOVE PARADE.
-
The overcast skies drifted away and we now have a spring day here. What an amazing winter this has been.
We didn't get a drop of rain.
-
From Matt H:If only some of the gory stuff is cut, then I think we will be ok watching on CBS. If we don't like the show I'll order it from NetFlix & give it a second chance.
Will you be watching the edited version to compare?
No, I don't think I'll rewatch it. BROTHERS & SISTERS is on opposite, and really, I just don't have the time to rewatch, especially since the shows are SO vivid in my head. I read that CBS was far more lethal with the language cutting than with the gore (they are the network of CRIMINAL MINDS and the CSI shows, after all).
But I do hope you two like it. I had never seen a series quite like it when it first premiered, and I found the tension almost unbearable as it proceeded through its season. The second season is even more intense.
-
As I cooked and ate lunch, I finished watching FLAMINGO ROAD with Joan Crawford. Apart from a scratch or two and some dirt specks not picked up in the digital cleaning, it looks much improved from the laserdisc and even the DVD-R I recorded off TCM a year or two ago.
-
Next, I watched BEOWULF. Motion capture animation has progressed greatly since THE POLAR EXPRESS, and this was much more lifelike with the men in the story. There are shots that you would absolutely swear were live action and not animation.
For some strange reason, the animators have not aged or blemished the women in any way, so they look much less real, more like porcelain dolls when they enter and act in a scene.
Since the movie was filmed with 3-D in mind, there are a plethora of shots specifically for 3-D effects. Even in this standard def 2-D version, the impact is very powerful. I'll bet the HD-DVD version is eye-popping because the sDVD version I watched today is flawless in every respect - picture and sound. A really fun comic book style version of the Old English legend.
In fact, I enjoyed it much more than SPIDERMAN 3, probably its closest film relative from last year.
-
I watched three of the bonus featurettes on the disc. The "making of" ran about 23 minutes. The creation of the monsters featurette was about 5 minutes, and the original legend of Beowulf and how it was adapted for the screen was about 6 minutes.
-
I should be able to finish the rest of the bonus features (there are four more items in the list) when I go back down. We'll see how much time I have left before COLD CASE starts.
-
After church, Richard and I went to Daybreak, a breakfast/brunch/lunch place in Hyde Park. My choice was Prairie Pancakes - they had pecans, almonds, and oats mixed in the batter. Very crunchy.
-
Guess I'll write for a little while, and then I'll head down to clean the guest bath, put away my folded laundry, and then resume viewing for the evening.
WBBL.
-
DR Matt - Is Neil Gaiman involved with any of the special features on BEOWULF?
-
MONTE CARLO does not predate THE LOVE PARADE.
Right you are--I was confused. Too many boxed sets lately. Did WWI or WWII come first? ;)
-
singdaw - I think it's Robert Walden form the LOU GRANT Tv show.
-
The Lamplighter. What a nice name for an eating establishment.
-
I will probably watch some DeeVeeDees this evening rather than the teevee.
-
I just saw Mr Steve Kanaly as Pretty Boy Floyd in DILLINGER on the Retro Channel. He looked much different in Mr BK's photo.....and he was wearing a terrible toupee, too.
Oh...sorry to hear about Perry Lopez. Yes, DRMBARNUM he worked a LOT.....and was a CLOSEPERSONALFRIEND of Mr James Dean.
-
Almost 4:30 p.m. Left Coast Time!!
-
And we are still on page three????
-
Where is everybody?
-
You would think it was a Sunday.
-
If this is any indication of next Sunday's Oscar party, we are in deep doodoo.
DR TCB -
Can't wait: NCIS, Numb3rs, The Closer, Women's Murder Club (is that one coming back?)
-
I wish I had some Dr. Seuss that I recite.
-
I wish I had some Dr. Seus that I recite.
If Dr. Seuss posted here would he be DR DR. Seuss?
-
Oh, bless you, Ginny!
-
Jose, we need another hundred posts.....
Tell us where you ate today.
-
On MBarnum's recommendation, I may have to investigate Frank Stallone's CDs.
-
Okay, self-serving, 100th post today.
-
I will probably watch some DeeVeeDees this evening rather than the teevee.
I've got PRIDE & PREJUDICE Part 2 on Masterpiece Theatre.
-
The weather could not be nicer than it is in Tacoma today. Well, of course, it could be about twenty degrees warmer, but still.................
Beautiful blue skies, sunshine. This marks the first nice Sunday of the year, which means the cars were lined up in front of my house trying to get into Point Defiance Park.
-
Wow, it's really quiet here....
-
I spent the weekend deep cleaning. Today I got all the laundry done, cleaned the kitchen and did various other things. I was really intending to work at the office today but I went down there and it was really cold. I also realized that my morning appointment is rescheduling because she's starting a new job tomorrow and my afternoon hearing in state court was continued because the prosecutor had something going on. Since there is no federal court for President's Day, I decided to put off the weekend work until tomorrow. Of course I brought home a ton of files, but I am very tired so I think they shall remain where they are. I can do it tomorrow.
-
Well, I have been immersed in this Hindemith piece I'll be playing and may I just say that after an hour or so of running it
[move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]I'M COMPLETELY, BLITHERINGLY MAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDD. MWWWWAAAAAHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAA.[/move]
-
I really got a lot done around the house this weekend. That makes me very happy
-
Boo has been throwing up a lot again. Today I gave her very small meals and I'm sure she kept them down. Of course not to be out done by Boo, Callie threw up. I didn't see her, but they are eating different food, so I know who did it
-
Of course I'm sure several of you are asking, "And this is different from your usual behavior....how?"
-
My goal for the evening is to finish reading Doris Lessing's The Grandmothers, for my book group discussion this coming Thursday. Well, "finish" isn't exactly the word, because I refuse to read the 3rd of the four short novels that comprise the book. It's an allegory, I think, and I couldn't make heads or tails of it. Life's too short.
-
DR JMK - EDIT YOUR POST, PLEASE!!!! ;)
THIS WIDESCREEN IS KILLING ME! ;)
-
I'm getting concerned about Boo. I'm going to call the vet in the AM and see if I should take her in. I'm not worried about Cal yet. I think she just ate way too fast
-
Well we could just hurry up and get to page 5
-
For those unfamiliar with Point Defiance, it is one of the largest urban parks in the Northwest.
Hmm.... Well, I don't think a lunch delivery from Cafe Metro and dinner at the Edison Cafe would quantify for 100 posts. ;)
-
We can make it to page five. Come on gang!!!!
Hmm.... Well, I don't think a lunch delivery from Cafe Metro and dinner at the Edison Cafe would quantify for 100 posts. ;)
Hmm.... Well, I don't think a lunch delivery from Cafe Metro and dinner at the Edison Cafe would quantify for 100 posts. ;)
mmmmm what did you have at the Edison Cafe? I love that place
-
I made some potato salad and had a chopped steak for dinner. Not too exciting
-
Here's another post on the way to page 5
-
Aren't you leaving out snacks and desserts?
I don't always have snacks and dessert...
Umm...
Well...
Nevermind.
;D
-
Oh! Here we are. Cool!
-
Thanks for the assist, DRs Cillaliz and TCB!
*Now, I still think it would be nice of DR JMK to adjust the formatting of his Hindemith Lament post so that it doesn't put us into DOUBLE-WIDESCREEN. ;) -It will help the DRs who will be catching up on the posts later on.
-
Or maybe the Hindemith just really did make him go crazy.
And Blind.
;)
-
In any case...
DR JMK - Sorry to harp. But I was reading in a badly lit rehearsal studio all day today, so... My eyes are tired.
-
I learned a valuable lesson today. Don not try to cook the cheap grade of hamburger on a gas grill. The result is incinerated beef..
-
I took Mae-Ling and Wae-Ling for a very long walk today, and now I am tired. I hope they are, too.
-
Thanks for the assist, DRs Cillaliz and TCB!
Sorry, Jose, but Page 4 isn't in widescreen for me.
-
I have been eating so much lately. I think it's the weather, but there is more of me than there used to be, and frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn
-
TCB, it wasn't some of this beef, was it?
http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/business/AP-Slaughterhouse-Abuse.html?hp
-
Page five??? Just what in tarnation is going ON around here this last week. Last February we broke all existing records for back then. Some people are going to RUE the day, oh, yes, they will RUE the day and was shall NOT get over it nor shall it get over us.
-
Had a nice breakfast with MBarnum, then got a call from a book dealer friend reminding me this was the last day of the big book fair in Century City, so I went over there and visited him and checked out all the dealers and books.
-
Ok, let's play how many people are going to cry on Big Brother tonight
-
TCB, it wasn't some of this beef, was it?
http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/business/AP-Slaughterhouse-Abuse.html?hp
Well, if it is, I already burned the evidence!
-
I really don't like this format for Big Brother. That is all
-
I always dreamed of having a big brother. But in my dream, he wasn't a reality television show.
-
One dealer, who shall remain nameless (Kevin at Royal Books) took the cake for the most outrageously outrageous prices I've ever seen on books that until HE got them, were never that rare. Not that anyone is paying his absolutely inane prices, but you can just see what he's trying to do to up the market in his niche (books into films, especially noir) and I find it reprehensible and nauseating. He has my former copy of Cornell Woolrich's The Bride Wore Black, which I purchased a little over ten years ago at a book fair in Burbank for the then fairly high price of $1300. This yahoo is now charging $12,500. I mean, he's out of his sick mind. And all his books are like that - things that just a few years ago you could get for $500 he's got for $5,000. Dealers like this singlehandedly ruin book collecting for everyone, including other dealers.
-
Jose, what did you eat at the Edison Cafe?
-
I visited with my book dealer pal, David Aronovitz, and even his books were priced higher than ususal. There were some very pretty books at the fair, though, and it's always fun to handle them.
-
Is there an echo in the house? Or is Jose ignoring both of use ;)
-
Good Morning!
I'm up, I'm up... And, thankfully(?), I could hear my cellphone vibrating in my coat pocket this morning a little after 9:00... "Hi, Jose... I don't remember if we checked to see if you were available today, and you said you weren't available, but if you happen to be available..." Another pianist came down with the flu, so...
After racing through my morning ablutions, I was down at the rehearsal studio about an hour later with a copy of the Sunday Times and an egg and bacon sandwich from the café on the corner.
It was sort of a slow-paced day for me, but the flow of individuals coming through the door of the studio was pretty constant. It was all individual calls and work sessions today, and I found myself star-struck a few times throughout the day. :)
However, since I was without my laptop, and since their was no cellphone reception in the rehearsal studio, I was able to read the NY Times cover to cover, which is something I haven't done in a long time. Between playing ever couple of minutes and working my way section by section through the paper, I had a very good day.
-
Can I assume that the Edison Cafe is not located in the Edison Hotel?
-
Will we never get to page six?
-
I cannot find my camera. I hope I just set it down somewhere.
-
And yes, it's Walden, not Waldman, re Robert.
-
Sorry, Jose, but Page 4 isn't in widescreen for me.
Well, I thought that might the case. Ah, well. I'm over it now. ;)
-
For dinner, I had another superb pastrami sandwich from Nate 'n Al.
-
Trying to decide whether to watch Monte Carlo, The Simpson's Movie, or the new Special Edition of The Wiz.
-
Can I assume that the Edison Cafe is not located in the Edison Hotel?
The Edison Cafe is, in fact, located in the Edison Hotel. Alas, the Edison Theatre (former home to Oh, Calcutta! is no longer.
-
EVERYONE STOP!!! WE MUST FIND DR LAURA'S CAMERA!!!!!
-
Earlier, I made pancakes for dinner.
Hey, it's Sunday, I didn't feel like cooking.
-
DR TCB - Next time, just make the burgers thicker if you're using "cheaper" beef. -I'm guessing we're talking about the 80% hamburger? (20% fat). It also helps to lower the temp if you're cooking hamburger with that high a fat content. Or cook them on a griddles or in a skillet on the stove. ;)
-
bk - Both Emily Skinner and Alice Ripley send their love. :)
-
Can I assume that the Edison Cafe is not located in the Edison Hotel?
Oh wait, it is the Carter Hotel that is so icky, not the Edison.
-
I burned my trades onto cd as well:
Debbie Gravitte: Defying Gravity
David Burnham: self-titled
Bat Boy: Original London Cast
Various Artists: In Celebration of Life
-
...And, I believe, if DR MBarnum had been sitting in the waiting area at today's auditions, he would have met some very interview-worthy actresses. :)
-
When Richard and I go out, like we did today, for a late brunch, we're not really hungry for a big dinner. We're both just munching on cheese and crackers and such.
-
I almost cooked hamburgers for dinner, but maybe my meat would have burned like DR TCB's :o
-
For desert, we're having Caramel Apple Walnut Pie.
-
As for the meal at The Edison Cafe...
Majorly Errant & Truant DR Jason joined me for dinner.
We both started off with a cup of their Matzoh Ball soup. *The cup of matzoh ball soup comes with one ball, the bowl comes with two. ;)
We both ended up having "breakfast" for our entrees. Jason: egg white omelet, turkey bacon, french fries. Myself: Corned beef hash, poached egg, french fries. -No home fries after 11:00am.
-
DR TCB - Next time, just make the burgers thicker if you're using "cheaper" beef. -I'm guessing we're talking about the 80% hamburger? (20% fat). It also helps to lower the temp if you're cooking hamburger with that high a fat content. Or cook them on a griddles or in a skillet on the stove. ;)
It was the 80% hamburger that I was attempting to cook for dinner. I had the gas grill on low, but the flames that flared up didn't give a fig what temperature I wanted.
-
For desert, we're having Caramel Apple Walnut Pie.
Did you bake the pie, td?
-
For my dessert, I guess I will have some vanilla Oreo cookies.
-
Ah... Well, next time - and there will be a next time - form the patties in advance and let them chill for a bit - or even freeze them - before putting them on the grill. There will be flares up, but if you can move them to a cooler part of the grill after the initial searing, that should help. Do you have a two-sided/burner gas grill?
-
Did you bake the pie, td?
No, but I nuked it.
-
...Or could just buy a can of Manwich, and.... ;)
-
No, but I nuked it.
And did you put a slice of Tillamook Cheddar Cheese on top?
-
Good vibes to Dear Reader Laura that she finds her camera.
~~~~~CAMERA FINDING VIBES FOR DR DEARREADERLAURA~~~~~

...Or could just buy a can of Manwich, and.... ;)
I think the other package of meat I bought will be turned into Hamburger Helper tomorrow.
-
I love the Matzoh ball soup at the Edison.
-
....But maybe my meat would have burned like DR TCB's
That is the title of my next randy novel.
-
That was DR Samantha's cup of soup after she tasted mine.

I am currently on Interstate 5, headed towards Salem.

I am currently on Interstate 5, headed towards Salem.
So why are you posting on the internet????? Drive your car!!!!
-
It took us till almost 4:25 today, to get to post 80. In a little over an hour we have doubled that figure.
-
So why are you posting on the internet????? Drive your car!!!!
Don't worry, Cillaliz, I am sure the dog is driving.
-
Welcome, Almost-Home, DR MBarnum.
-
Don't worry, Cillaliz, I am sure the dog is driving.
Or perhaps Mr. Stallone made the trip home with Mr. Barnum!
-
I will be seeing The Adding Machine this Thursday. It will be interesting to compare notes with DR FJL. -I'm also seeing Dead Man's Cellphone sometime this week. I think. Hmm... I should check on that.

And I can safely say that this grumpy shuttle bus driver might just as well turn off his sign that reads "Earned Gratuities are Greatly Appreciated."
On the other hand the gentleman helped me with my bags at the car rental return and who who drove me from the car rental return, across the street to the Burbank Airport earned quite a large tip from me. I also was greatly enjoying his Ethiopian pop music.
I may now have a new musical obsession.

DR Laura....where did you last have your camera? I bet its there.....

Whew! You're on a shuttle bus....never mind.

DOG IS MY CO-PILOT... I saw that on a bumper sticker the other week. It made me laugh. Of course there was a dog in that car also!

Now if we can just find that camera....

And did you put a slice of Tillamook Cheddar Cheese on top?
actually, it was Helluva Good Sharp Cheddar. ;D

I may now have a new musical obsession.
So... I guess this means you'll be spending a bit more time in central Harlem, and over on 10th Ave in the 40s the next time you come to NYC?
;)

I just have to remember where I was when I last saw it.

And, yes, the light in the rehearsal studio was quite bad, dim. The studio itself was very nice - good floors, nice mirrors, a decent piano, good location, etc. But the lighting really was just not ideal, and there were no windows either. We kept looking for a dimmer switch, but were eventually told by the staff, "Oh, it's always that dark in there." ??? Any time I did have a break, I would walk out to the waiting area which had windows and great light to read my paper. -However, getting the audio feed of Young Frankenstein from the theatre next door was kind of cool.

That Adam Cartwright wuz my favrit won.
-
DearReaderLaura DR - did you have the camera when you posted those beautiful "rain" photos from yesterday?
-
My DH just arrived home from doing a concert in his hometown of Fairmont, MN last night. The mayor presented him with the key to the city! Which conveniently doubles as a bottle opener.
-
***GET WELL VIBES***
for DC Boo!!!

Glad to read that DR MBarnum is almost home safely. I'm sure that DD Bosco and DC Freddie will be happy to see him.
And then he can post his pics from the trip!!!

About four weeks ago, a pretty kitty with a flea color started hanging out in my backyard.
No other collar, and she was very timid if approached. When Miss Blue Moon came in, she would come up to the door to get her dish of kitty food.
Now and then she would be there when I looked out at night. I think she slept on the back porch. I picked her up once and noticed she had been de-clawed, so somewhere along the line, she was someone's pet.
Kept looking in the paper and for flyers in case her owner was searching for her. Miss Blue Moon did NOT like another mammal getting any attention.
I named her Stache since she had a nice little moustache marking on her upper cat lip.
-
Stache on the porch last week. ;D
-
***HINDEMITH XYLOPHONES***
to DR JMK!!!!
-
My cousin Will and his wife Sue lost their twenty year old cat last week, and when we mentioned Stache, they were interested in having her.
So yesterday morning, I approached her and brought her in and put her in the Kitty Carry All.
-
Stache Behind Bars.
-
Will we never get to page eight?
-
DR JRand57 - A de-clawed cat should not be left on their own outside. Was it just the front paws, or all four?
-
So it is written, so it shall be done - page eight.
-

How horrible that someone would abandon a declawed kitty. There is no excuse for that. It can usually be a death sentence for a kitten.
When I adopted Czar Nicholas from the pound, he had been found abandoned and he was declawed.
-
Awww. Lucky Stache, to have found you. Can you pick her up and put her in a carrier? She may have a microchip. A vet should be able to find it if she has one.
-
Oh - I see that Stache's story may have a happy ending after all! :)
-
After being inside for about an hour, she was making herself comfortable on the towel inside the carrier and purring and purring.
Sue and Will picked her up about 11 a.m.
Today Sue brought the carrier back and said Stache is wonderful. She walks around the house. She is litter box trained. Her favorite thing to do is sit on a lap for as long as the lap will let her.
I am so happy that she has found a good home. The End.
-
Of course, nowdays, Nicky could just sit on any dog that gave him trouble.
-
You posted the Stache in the carrier photo while I was typing my post.
I'm glad you have a home for her. She's lucky
-
My DH just arrived home from doing a concert in his hometown of Fairmont, MN last night. The mayor presented him with the key to the city! Which conveniently doubles as a bottle opener.
Did he have any trouble getting home? I think they are about in line for the blizzard today
-
I was afraid for her, too....but she seemed to stick close to the yard, and no other animals roam there except for YOU KNOW WHO. And once I found out she was spending most of her time on the enclosed back porch, I thought she would be okay.
Front claws only.....still has the back.
-
DR JRand57 - are they going to retain the name you gave the kitty? ;)
-
And when I told Miss Blue Moon that she wouldn't have to worry about any other animal getting her head pats, she was pleased.
-
One of our rescues from years ago was a sweet tame cat that somehow found her way to a feral colony. She loved to ride in a car -- just purred like mad. She was adopted by a retired couple with an RV. A perfect match.
-

I think they were delayed about an hour leaving the Twin Cities, but otherwise no troubles.
-
DR JRand57 - are they going to retain the name you gave the kitty? ;)
No......I think they are going to name her Bosco (a name we are familiar with here at HHW) because of her chocolate milk moustache look.
I am sorry for the family that had to give her up - not happy with how they did it - but happy for her and Will and Sue. 8)

I love a happy ending....just like in those TAMMY movies. ;D
-
Singdaw, I took the chip out of the camera and put it in the computer. I'm pretty sure I was here on the sofa when I did so. I even removed the sofa cushions, just in case.
-
We need to see a new picture of Czar Nicholas.
-
I hate this commercial, but the actress who delivers this line always makes me laugh:
Who are you calling a cootie queen, you lint licker?
-
So who looked best at the Hollywood Collector's show and who looked....well not the best?
Who had the longest line? And who....well didn't?
MR BK what was your most popular selling item? Which photo, which book?
-
GI JOSE is on Family Guy.
-
Did you look under the sofa? Does it have a string type of handle that a kitty may pull is somewhere?
-
Wow...yes DR TCB...I can't believe that the Oscar Awards are ONE WEEK from tonight! WOW!
-
DR JRand, your story of stache reminds me a lot of my early days of Boo. She has claws, but I worried a lot about her until I brought her in. She, too, sat in the carrier and purred and purred
-
DearReaderLaura DR, did you try looking UNDER and/or BEHIND the sofa? ;)
-
DR CILLA LIZ - I watched BB for the second time, and I didn't like it much either. I guess because there is no one there that I really like. Do they always use such obnoxious useless self-absorbed people?
And the format is very contrived.....such created drama.
-

Well they are all young and single. So there isn't a whole lot of variety etc.
-
Probably the first time in many days they felt safe and protected. :)
And I think they both knew they weren't going to be living on the streets anymore
-
I found the camera. It was in a place where I didn't even put it.
-
Good news, DearReaderLaura DR!!!! I was going to have photo withdrawal if you couldn't keep inspiring us with your efforts!
-
TCB-Beautiful photo.
We also had a beautiful sunny day. I didn’t need a coat. Bryan said it was beautiful in Portland too, not that he had been out much. He was exhausted from his long trip home yesterday. The early morning flight didn’t get far, about 30 minutes out, before it had to return to Chicago due to a mechanical problem.
Once he finally made it home, late last night, he didn't get much sleep. His Sugar Glider protested most the night at having been left at home.
-
VIBES FOR BOO!
Thanks Jane, I think it's a combo of a hairball and she eats too fast. It appears she's kept her food down today, but she hasn't eaten much, several small meals, but she's had several of them. She is sleeping now and has been for awhile. But she spent the day following me upstairs and downstairs and everwhere I was cleaning and she always sleeps in the evening, so I think she may be ok. But I'm thinking it may not hurt to have her checked out.
-
The following post is for all DRs EXCEPT DR elmore3003 ;):
Check your local schedules and set your DVRs. PBS in the NYC area is broadcasting the recent Broadway revival of Company on Wednesday evening.
Some who have seen clips are saying that it's a great info-mercial for the hardwood floor. :-\

Congratulations to your DR DH!
-
Yeah DR Laura!!! I couldn't imagine HHW without your beautiful photos
-
I was pretty sure that I put both the camera and my cell phone in my computer case when I left for church today. I found the cell phone in the case, but no matter how many times I checked, I didn't find the camera there. I know that I put the computer case in the trunk of the car.
I found it in the trunk of the car. It had fallen out of the case.
The end.
-
DR TCB is lucky to live so close to such a beautiful natural resource. How come we never hear about you taking a stroll 'round the reservoir? ;)
-
How horrible that someone would abandon a declawed kitty. There is no excuse for that. It can usually be a death sentence for a kitten.

We don't know the cat was abandoned. I'm very relieved the cat is now indoors, however, please check Petfinders & anywhere else you can think of to be sure someone isn't looking for this cat.

Hmm... I'm not to thrilled with the running commentary - and commentators - for the Food Network's "Ultimate Recipe Showdown".

Oh, my.
The upcoming broadcast received significant coverage in today's Cincinnati Enquirer, because the production originated here at Playhouse in the Park. The broadcast concides with the run of Doyle's Sweeney Todd at the Aronoff Center for the Arts this week.

Thanks for the COMPANY alert, DR SINGDAW.

ABC is also broadcasting A Raisin in the Sun, an adaptation with the recent Broadway revival cast, on Feb 25th.

Yes, we have no bananas.
-
I am passing on your compliments to Nicholas. He is too busy eating his evening cookies to respond.

Thanks for the COMPANY reminder, DR Singdaw, I have my DVR set to record it. It's being replayed a couple times here on the IPTV digital feed. Don't know if it's the same there

I need to go check on Boo.

Oh wait, it is the Carter Hotel that is so icky, not the Edison.
The Edison is my regular NY hotel, so it's not icky. And the cafe has been around forever; a great place to meet up with people.

Oh, that wasn't really clear in the article. I was kind of confused, even after looking at the IMDB info.

Or today's New York Times. ;)

Neither - they've just been on my "reminder" calendar for a while, and thought other DRs might be interested. :)

Thanks, DR Jane! Hope your DS gets some well-earned rest tonight!

Thanks for the clarification, DR Edisaurus... ;)

Yes, we have no bananas.
EGG-sactly! :)

And speaking of the New York Times, there was a great article/interview with Sam Buntrock, the director of the soon-to-open revival of Sunday In the Park with George. First of all, I had no idea he was so young - 32 years old! Secondly, the following excerpt really hit home with/to me:
The turning point came in 2003 after a cancer scare (“I’m fine now”) and a bout with alcoholism. (He’s been sober five years.) “It was a very, very bad year,” he said. But by the end he had emerged with the crucial idea to mix his interests in animation and theater in a production of one of the few great Sondheim shows that hadn’t been given a Broadway revival. Inspiration hit after revisiting the score of “Sunday in the Park,” a musical about, among other things, an artist’s anxiety about wasting his talent.
“If you’ve been through a bad year, and you hear that score, it hurts, but in a good way,” Mr. Buntrock said. “It makes you feel that what you’ve been feeling is connected to something.”
Who’s That Kid Staging Sondheim? (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/17/theater/17zino.html?8dpc)
-
Neither - they've just been on my "reminder" calendar for a while, and thought other DRs might be interested. :)
Gotcha. Well, there was also a nice article (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/17/arts/television/17lee.html?ref=television) about the production in today's Times too.
-
...And today's The City (http://www.nytimes.com/pages/nyregion/thecity/index.html) also contained some wonderful articles about various neighborhoods, topics and local celebrities. -Where else could one read about Hedda Lettuce, laundromats, bath houses, and the gentrification of Harlem all in one place? ;)
-
JRand, glad you found a great home for the kitty. After losing a 20 year old cat a few years ago, I was afraid to adopt another because I thought I couldn't care for another cat. Having a kitty that needs them will help them through their heartbreak. Happy ending all around!
I think when cats are declawed, they only do the front feet. That way, they can still climb a tree if necessary. I've never had any of mine declawed, just in case they might escape from the house and have to defend themselves.
-
After a nice visit with the gardening show producer, who brought a pile of lenten roses and fresh-baked chocolate ship cookies, we were relaxing (Greg cleaned the gutters while I "entertained") and lo and behold, friends appeared to take us out for a belated birthday dinner...my godson, his sister, and parents. His mom had been to the house but the rest of them had not seen it.
We had nice Indian food, which they all love, and then came back so they could play with the kitties. I was so glad I was able to offer them milk and homemade cookies!
-
When we bundled the kids into the car, our godson said "Can we come back---real soon?"
Awwwwww....it was so much fun. And yet we also realize at time like this how unkidproof our house is and that the cats had never seen children before. I would try to teach Sydney how to talk softly and pet the cats softly but she would get so excited about them that her voice would rise to a supersonic squeal!
After they left, we took a long walk around the neighborhood with a coffee stop, and now the cats are enjoying their peaceful adults again!
-
Glad DR Laura found her camera. Whew! A day without her pictures is like a day without sunshine.
Last night, we were leaving a restaurant and there was a wallet, cigarette lighter and camera on the steps outside of the restaurant. The owners looked at the license and said it belonged to a woman who had just left. How do you lose all that stuff out of your purse and not hear it??
-
Must entertain cat that is laying on my wrist....
-
We have been at the Grandparents having dinner, but I don't think I'm blind--the page, as TCB noted, was in "Academy ratio" on both our computers, so not quite sure what's going on for you, Jose.
-
Thank you for the vibes, Singdaw. I have repeated your hilarious comment from the other day about no one being able to tell if I hit a wrong note, and most have agreed. :) Although I have to say, after having played this piece nonstop for hours today, I have various motives (especially the rising fourth, followed by a falling a half step down) seared on my brain.
-
I'm defaulting to playing minor sevenths if I lose my place in the music. ;)
Have any of you played the card game Casino? My in-laws attempted to teach it to me tonight. Oy.
-

If you want to play through some more ear-friendly Hindemith, I'd suggest reading through the Piano Sonatas.
-
Oy - the day is almost over. Just a lot of couch sitting (like so much fish) to finish the day. Oh, and a skinny cow or 4.
Today was great fun, sprinkled with moments of frustration and stress. Church was fine, which is always good. Still having trouble grasping the fact that Easter is only a month away. I know, I know, get over it and get going!
This afternoon was the run-through with some set pieces, some sound, and orchestra for Seussical - The Musical (http://bowditchmusical.org/) It's a middle school show, but we perform at the local performing arts center, which is located on the High School campus which is one of the High School's this school feeds in to. (figure THAT out) So, our run was in the school's gym. Act One went well, Act Two - not so well. It will all come together this week, but they sound great, and the orchestra ROCKS.
So, it's been a day.
-
...And I still remember reading about how Walter Gieseking learned and memorized one of the piano sonatas for a recital while he was on a train. There was no piano on board, he just read and air-played the notes while he was travelling... Then played it in recital once he reached his destination. WOW!
-
Thanks for the SUNDAY/GEORGE articles DR JOSE. It will certainly be interesting to see what he does with the material.
A right-headed director can certainly enhance wonderful and great material....but there is NO material no matter how wonderful that can survive a wrong-headed and bone-headed director.
-
If you want to play through some more ear-friendly Hindemith, I'd suggest reading through the Piano Sonatas.
Yes, I agree--I did some of those, as well as the Kammermusik, back in my starry-eyed youth. :)
-
Hindemith makes my teeth hurt.
Maybe I will watch The Soup on E! and then watch Miss Jessica Lange in her Frances Farmer movie - Frances The Talking Mule.
-
Wow, I was gone four hours and it then took a half-hour to catch up.
I was going to ask something but forgot what it was. :(
-
Or maybe a Bollywood movie, I have a couple on the to be watched stack.
-

Thankfully I don't need to memorize this piece, but I actually have spent quite a bit of time on the "air playing" on this one just to "grok" some of the clef changes, etc. At MM=100 (the score marking) it's actually pretty playable, I'm just worried the horn player is going to want to zoom, zoom, zoom.

With all of the subjects we've covered....it could be ANYTHING!! ;D
-
DR BEN - I couldn't watch Mr Imperium all the way through. Lana Turner is so pretty and Ezio Pinza is just plain homely....and the camera makes him look much much older and fatter than he probably was. But he is convinced that he is the handsomest man on the screen.....I wonder if he thought differently after he saw the film?
-

I saw this production a few weeks during it's first weekend of previews, and loved it.

Finished the Lessing book and emailed a review and some articles about the author to my book group.
'night!

Well, that's an easy one to solve: Hindemith was pretty strict in regards to his metronome markings. If he's rushing and/or just wishing to take a faster tempo just remind him that by doing that he is not honoring the composer's "wishes". ;)

I almost cooked hamburgers for dinner, but maybe my meat would have burned like DR TCB's :o
Must be in the air. The DP made LEAN burgers tonight which we ate on fat free tortillas and fat-free cheese's, with lettuce, ketchup and mustard, and he made some oven fries, which were mighty tasty. Everything was yummy and pretty much healthy!
-
DR Matt - Is Neil Gaiman involved with any of the special features on BEOWULF?
Surprisingly no. Avery does all the talking about the script if I'm remembering correctly.
-
DR TCB -
Can't wait: NCIS, Numb3rs, The Closer, Women's Murder Club (is that one coming back?)
It is definitely not coming back this season. There is no word yet of cancellation or renewal for next season. I'm keeping my fingers crossed because I love Angie Harmon and Rob Estes.
-
And as for Better Midler's upcoming Vegas spectacular...
Ms. Midler’s headdress, made of 63 silk feathers, will be nearly 20 feet tall and weigh 3,200 pounds. No, she will not actually wear it. Yes, it will be pink.

Thanks for posting this! I didn't realize that it was going to be on so soon! I set my DVR to record this. :)
-
Adam Cartwright was MY favorite. What a gorgeous man he was.
-
But it won't be the musical. Thankfully. ;)
Except Jessica will be doing some singing. She talked about it in a interview in the newspaper this morning.
-
We had a good two hour soaking of rain. It has stopped for now, but it's still very warm outside.
-
DR BEN - I couldn't watch Mr Imperium all the way through. Lana Turner is so pretty and Ezio Pinza is just plain homely....and the camera makes him look much much older and fatter than he probably was. But he is convinced that he is the handsomest man on the screen.....I wonder if he thought differently after he saw the film?
And if I remember correctly, she couldn't stand working with him.
-
I began my evening of viewing by finishing the rest of the bonus materials on the BEOWULF DVD. There really wasn't that much left.
-
Neither - they've just been on my "reminder" calendar for a while, and thought other DRs might be interested. :)
Thanks for the updates, just giving you some grief
-
That left me with time to watch a short film. I thought about one of the TAMMY movies, but in the end Charlie Chan won out and I popped in CHARLIE CHAN IN HONOLULU. I had never seen this before, and I am pleased to say I did guess the correct murderer.
Apart from a few light scratches, the transfer looks great.
-
Page Twelve WIZARD OF OZ Dance!!!
-
As for tonight's "Brothers & Sisters"... Loved the casting choices for the non-regulars. :)
-
There were two featurettes on the CHARLIE CHAN disc (sadly, neither starring Dr. Drew Casper). One involved information on Fox's handling the Chan series after the death of Warner Oland.
The other was about the career of Sidney Toler which I found very illuminating. Miles Kreuger is one of the talking heads in that one, and it's filled with useful information I certainly didn't know about Toler.
-
Boo has a new habit. She drags her "cat dancer" the wire with cardboard things on the ends around the house. She brings it to whatever room I'm in to play with her.
-
I had a few minutes left so I put on THE PIRATE and watched Judy's "Mack the Black" number in stereo. She does such a great job with it.
-
COLD CASE was a fair episode tonight. Again, I guessed the killer, but I had the wrong motive. That was a total surprise.
-
Yes, I liked the casting on BROTHERS & SISTERS, too. I was hoping Saul and the character played by Erico Canantoni would be attracted to one another (maybe when the show comes back; why introduce him otherwise?) Scottie's friends were a hoot, and I loved Sarah's karaoke.
-
Tomorrow I start on that mammoth THE LAST EMPEROR set. It will take me at least three days with it and maybe four depending on how lengthy the contents are in those two discs of extras. It will take 8 1/2 hours to watch all the versions of the film with and without commentary.
-
Boo seems to be feeling better tonight. I brushed her and that should help a little. She's had a good day today, so I may give it another day before I take her to the vet. If she can keep her food down again tomorrow, I think we'll be back on track.
-
Well, I'm afraid it is time for me to head to the land of Wussburgers. Me sleepy.
Goodnight.
-
OH!.... And I also loved this article about some of Oscar night's more memorable moments...
There Will Be Memories (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/17/movies/awardsseason/17gate.html?ref=movies)
The "Surprises vs. Sentimental Favorites" listing was particularly entertaining and informative.
-
Just made the DP a WW shake, which consists of n/f milk, ice cubes, vanilla extract, and two packets of splenda. A quick whirl of the immersion blender and BINGO, and very LOW calorie treat. I may make one with frozen strawberries a bit later.
-
Got to write for a bit and then head downstairs to bed (only to wake up tomorrow to NO MAIL DELIVERY!)
Good night!
-
I'm the only one in the jernt?
-
Well, me and these seven GUESTS. I wonder if one of them is Mr. you know who?
-
I have finished watching the 30th anniversary edition of The Wiz - I'd only seen a couple of scenes before, and now I can say I have truly seen one of the ten worst films of all time. Much more later in the notes.
-
Make that six GUESTS. Maybe you know who went to read a book, maybe one on how not to act childish.
-
So who looked best at the Hollywood Collector's show....
Deanna Lund, hands down winner! She has not aged one iota since her days in the Land of the Giants.
Roberta Shore was a close second. Just beautiful, although with different colored hair now.
-
JRand, I loved the story of Stache, alias Cat Bosco!
-
And yes I am back home with dog and cat by my side!
Caught up on the first two episodes of Big Brother 9. This Big Brother is a bit different then in the past, but still interesting.
It usually takes time for me to warm up to the contestants and once we get to know them all better they may have more personality...perhaps! LOL!
I do prefer it when they have a larger variety of ages and races, as in past seasons.
-
I had a wonderful vacation, but I am pooped... so off to bed with me! I shall post photos tomorrow! Nite all!
-
Welcome back, Michael! Glad you had a great time!
-
I sold two of the Partridge Family shots over and over - one with David Cassidy and one with Susan Dey. Those were the most popular. I sold several Brain CDs and several Nudie DVDs and several of the books.
-
Welcome eleven GUESTS. Anyone for the chalice from the palace?
-
Will we never get to page thirteen?
-
I just watched "The Devil Wears Prada." I'd never seen it before and it was good. This and "Ugly Betty" (and to a lesser extent, "Less Than Perfect") are very similar. Big news, right? ;)
-
Make that twelve GUESTS. Is Sylvia Fine with us now?
-
Or maybe it's Eve Arden.
-
Well, since we're so close...
-
PAGE 13 DANCE!!
-
Now what?
-
Well, no one can say we didn't get to page thirteen. I think maybe The Court Jester went to sleep.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Will we never get to page fourteen?
-
I gather tomorrow is a holiday. So, I'll package up several orders and get them ready to ship on Tuesday morning.
-
Gratuitous Last Minute Post #366. :D
-
Well, I can't stay up any longer. I must Wussberger. Right now, Gwen Verdon is on the digital music show tunes channel singing "If My Friends Could See Me Now." Good night, BK and any guests.
8) (think of this as me with a sleeping mask on. ;))
