GUENEVERE & CHORUS:
It's mad! It's gay!
A libelous display!
Those dreary vows that ev'ryone takes,
Ev'ryone breaks.
Ev'ryone makes divine mistakes
The lusty month of May!
And I should getting ready to detrain.

I am at work for those keeping track.
And the word of the day is: GUERDON!
It was great seeing my friend David this morning for the first time in almost 20 years. His office is just a few blocks away from Chicago's Union Station, so I was able to drop off my bags there. He's in the midst of some big "deal" today - he's in the investment banking business - so we'll finish catching up tonight. And he, apparently, has selected a good variety of restaurants and other culinary establishments for my weekend here in Chicago. :)
Thanks for the trivia.

You'll be pleased to know it's virtually certain she did not sing any of the McHale's Navy Theme whilst there.
I am now "officially" a Texan.
Just registered by cars here and got my DL.

Last night we finally got around to watching THE MENTALIST. After Patrick Jane explained how he concluded the victim worked at an arcade, instead of going there for fun, I looked at Keith & said "You have just been insulted BIG time!" ;D

LOL Ron. The more I thought about Amy not caring about money & how she enjoyed the simple life she grew up with, she really should have married John.
What did you think of Laura Linney's "dramatics". Keith kept asking WHY she kept turning to the side. ;)
I am listening to "Naked Boys Singing."
I got a clean bill of health for my colonoscopy. He asked me to come back in 3 years. After that, I took the crosstown 96th Street bus to the West Side and transferred to the downtown at Columbus Avenue. Stopped at the post office at 68th Strret and mailed my packages, then walked over to my pharmacy at 68th and amsterdam for my meds. I got back here to pick up the mail and finish my edits on my Main Report for Babes In Toyland.
I've just returned from my walk; the rain happened about an hour ago but the air is quite moist and great to walk through. It's a nice, cool evening and I'm not complaining. I think I'll work for a while on Moross' Suite from "The Cardinal." I'd like to finish it over the w
eekend and send the corrections to the copyist and an invoice to be paid.
It was like stereo - Lou Dobbs was saying "Shocking" at the very moment i was reading BK's post with the word "Shocking."
I am listening to "Naked Boys Singing."
Me; I'd rather watch ....
But that's only me! :D
I got some packages today, including a pretty fabulously fabulous original window card from the estate of David Klein, the window card's artist - for the original B'way production of The Music Man - amazingly beautiful and came with a Certificate that it's from the estate of the artist. This was originally on eBay for a really expensive price. It didn't sell, so they relisted with a pretty low starting bid for something of this vintage with this provenance. I wrote them and asked what price it would take to shut down the auction and sell to me - they were cagey and wanted to see the auction through because they really thought they'd get a lot more than their opening bid. In the end, I put my top bid in as a proxy and I won it for only $75 over the opening bid. They could have done much better had they suggested a number to me and shut the auction down, as I was willing to go at least $150 higher. My good, their bad, my window card. Since it's one of the three B'way window cards I'd ever care to own, I'd say I got an amazing deal. This same artist did The Most Happy Fella, too, and they were selling a one-sheet style, which was great, but which went for over $1200, and then a window card that just wasn't in great shape, but even that went for over $1000. So, I got the bargain of bargains on this.

DR Elmore, congrats on your clean colon! I'm due to have mine checked this year, too. I have entered the contest on CBS.com to have it done by the Colonoscopist of the Stars.

I felt really sorry for John. But....whatchagonnaDO?!?!?!
As for Linney, I wasn't paying attention to her. I was probably grabbing some last-minute snack or something while she was talking each week.
20 years ago, day for day, I was part of the opening crew (Cast member, in Disney lingo) for the Grand Opening of the Disney Studio theme park in Florida; more precisely, the Backstage Studio Tour whose entrance looked exactly like that (See picture)

In fact, it could almost be me on that picture near the sign on the right and with the red shirt. I think I know who that is but I can't remember the fellow's name!

Assuming you meant to type "sing" instead of "sign", but certainly not "certain" because we may have folks who need to "sign" something while washing their hands, I think "Happy Talk" would be a good song to sign or sing!
Now I hate to ask it
Who exactly was Danny Gans?

This morning I read to sing Happy Birthday.

An interesting bit of your history :) Thank you.
Zachary Quinto looks like he has an abnormally huge head in the suit he wore to the STAR TREK premier.
Sherlock had a chance to visit with his biological parents & sister. I wish I had pulled the camera out sooner & taken photos with his mother & sister. At least we got some with his father who he favors the most.

Without posting the heart is a lonely hunter. All will be well for all those who need things to be well - because we are strong, we are invincible, we are HAINSIES/KIMLETS.
Tonight I talked to the son of the man who lives down the street where the boxer (as in dog) lived that I was so concerned about last winter. I asked what happened to the dog and he said that the dog lives with him (the son) in Vermillion, SD now and he's doing really well. I told him I was glad because he was such a nice dog and that I had been worried about him. He thanked me for worrying.

Good Morning!
I'm up, I'm up... And I woke up in Toledo, Ohio.
*I think that's the first time that's happened to me.
As I was getting off the train, the man sitting next to me, Señor Leo Torres, asked me to take his picture when he got off the train. This is his first time in Chicago - and only for four hours. He started his route taking busses from Monterey, Mexico, to Houston. Then he took the train to Washington, DC, to visit his son for a few days. Since he had never been to New York City before, he then headed up from Union Station to Penn Station to spend a few days in the Big Apple. Then yesterday, he started his long trek back home via Chicago.
Even though we didn't talk that much during the trip, I felt humbled that he asked me to take his picture. He was just using a disposable camera, and even though I doubt I will ever see that picture, I'm pretty sure that will be the most memorable photograph that I will have taken during this trip.

Back from USC, lunch at Langer's, and a trip to Costco for waters and Diet Coke and Fruity Snacks.
Okay, someone really REALLY needs to explain to me why we have fallen so low on postings over the last week. I'm ready, willing, and able to listen, and I want a list of the no-shows so I can bitch-slap them from here to eternity and hell and back.
Quoth BK in the notes:
I must say. I got up and did the long jog, then had to go look at an item. It has become increasingly clear to me that I may need such an item in the very near future for reasons beyond my control. So, I began doing my research for said item and it was very interesting.
Will BK soon be packing heat?
I went to Costco to get a hot dog for lunch. However, I did not see BK there.

I am more than willing to take part of the blame for the drop in posts this week. Between Angel passing away and the long nightly rehearsals, I have spent very little time posting.
I wish that I could say that the worst is over, but we open a week from tonight, and I doubt I will have much free time this week to even check posts.

Maybe they were figs!! :D
DR TCB how are you & Nicky doing? Sherlock sends you kisses.

How does one who lives close enough get tickets?? :D

Thank you, Jane. And thank Sherlock for me. I think Nicky could use a visit from Sherlock. He is very lonely, and he spends a lot of time wandering from room to room.

But if you are really interested in seeing the show, let me check this weekend. We are supposed to be getting some kinds of vouchers (2 for 1 maybe?). I should know more by Monday. Maybe if it is two for one, you could talk Josh into coming to see the show?

I wish I lived closer so I could visit lonely DC Nicky while DR TCB is a work.

The Vet and his staff sent me a very sweet card, which I thought was very nice. What was strange was when I took the card out of the envelope the drawing on the front of the card was of a lovely white kitty, with Angel wings. I lost it for about an hour.
Meanwhile, gaze at THIS:

Had a complete vocal runthrough with Bialy and Leo today. Our Bialy, Jay Pevney, will be in So Cal next week at a symposium where his father's Joan Crawford film FEMALE ON THE BEACH will be the main event. I told him he should go onstage with wire hangers stuck in his jacket.

I sure wish Universal would release FEMALE ON THE BEACH on DVD. It's one of my favorite campy Crawford flicks, and I don't even have it on DVD-R.
And I completed my evening of viewing by watching tonight's GHOST WHISPERER. A very unusual story and execution this week.
DR td - Is there a new recording of "Naked Boys Singing"? Or are you listening to the OCR?
